Always enjoy the beauty of this historic, well kept building. The seats are very comfortable. We use the balcony for music, but like to be on the main floor for theatre. Middle, left and right sides, isle seats. Bring money for wine, champagne, beer, and hard alcohol. They accept all payment forms. Expect to pay $12.00 per drinkCan buy a reusable cup. Food choices are minimal (popcorn, chips, candy).

Beautiful. Is there another word to describe this place? I dont have the words to adequately describe this place. The staff is professional and courteous. Parking is horrible but that is the only down side. Sound quality is great. Prices are generally great. Lighting is phenomenal. Architecture is breath taking. I can not recommend this venue enough. Great for the whole family and date night. If youre here, only for one day, make a point of visiting this place. Worth every dime you spend. Concessions wont break the bank either.

Love that we have a beautiful historical landmark here to go see shows. A wonderful variety comes through and it seems to get better and better. The lobby is kind of small but, that is just the way it is. Parking can be tricky. Its all street parking that fills up quickly but, the parking garage isnt too far away and makes for a nice, brisk walk.

I always look forward to going to the Mount Baker Theatre, regardless of what Im seeing. Ive seen dance performances, captivating cultural performances, magic shows, a small sliver of what this place has to offer. The variety is always something I will appreciate, with a comforting ambiance I dont take for granted!

I was hypercritical in my previous rating. It may have been the content of the showing, it may have been the mindset I was in. Either way, the venue has a great feel to it, rustic, historic, and genuine. The show must go on.

This is a classic, grand old theatre, with fairly lavish decor. Seating is comfortable enough that I dont notice it during performances. Lighting, sound and atmospheric conditions seem optimal for very good experiences. Bathrooms on the main floor are woefully small, but I think there are bigger ones on the upper floor.

Had an amazingly beautiful and moving experience on Martin Luther King Day. The performance(s) were asking for food donations to the local food Bank which was very thoughtful. It was a wonderful experience for myself and my children. Trying to reconnect with a small town on a multi-cultural bonding that we (family & I) have been missing since leaving L.A. Very poignant brave women, men and children keeping important memories, struggles and history to life during these chaotic times. Through dance, music, singing, and poetry it was a lively mix of love, life, loss, and the importance of humanity. My small children were quiet and in awe of the performances. I truly felt touched in my soul and shed a few tears of overwhelming care, thought and compassion. I will be attending every year moving forward. I would love to be involved more! We must never forget what we (our nation) was built on and endured and continues battling with. Sharing true honest history is knowledge and empowerment. We need to move forward and progress this world for our children as every single being unites for the greater good of humanity.

The theatre itself is a beautiful bit of architecture and the interior is nothing short of beautiful. Unfortunately, I went there to see their Production of the Nutcracker which was less of a ballet, and more of a childrens recital intended for parents of the participants than the audience who paid to watch. Very disappointing.

This is a Grand old theater with the typical ornate ceilings and walls of its Era. Even the handrails and such going up to the balcony are well worth looking at closely. Sound and lighting were very good and not too intrusive to the original design and decor. Comfortable seats with good placement and legroom. Super helpful ushers who went to great lengths to make me able to get around with ease. Highly recommend it.

I love these old theaters. Except for the lack of restrooms. They do have one for men and one for women, but they could use a couple more so people dont have to choose between going to the restroom or seeing the whole production. Other than that, MBT is delightful. Plenty to look at in the architecture. Seats are small so it would be wise to either bring only a jacket or to check it. (Dont actually know if they have a coat check :-0 )

I find this theater very conservative it is a historic Monument of downtown Bellingham. I very rarely go to shows here in the last show that I went was Stephen Marley and it was pretty amazing. The ushers and security had the whole place locked down as far as anyone trying to smoke weed. There is a memorable point of the concert wear a Rasta dude with dreads down to his waste just stood up and I sea of people sitting down and just started shaking his dreads. Good memories there are often very traditional events here and most events are good for all ages

The 90+ year old restored venue is lovely and well maintained. Going there is a step back in time to a more gracious era, filled with intricate woodwork, masonry, and delicate scroll work, memories of a bygone times. The performances run the gamut and change several times a month during the season. Theres anything from touring Broadway shows to Chinese acrobats to contemporary comedians on an ongoing, ever changing schedule. The only obvious drawback is parking. It doesnt have a designated parking garage, although a lot near the theater is reserved for season ticket holders. Most attendees will need to park on the street.

Wonderful, historical theatre with constant calendar of shows and musical events, many for the whole family, especially at this time of year. The staff is well trained, the shows are professionally staged, big name performers come here and you can see them up close at meet and greet sessions before or after many of the shows. The sound system is first-rate, the silent films are a must-see to the accompaniment of a grand organ center stage that intensifies the viewing experience. This theatre was recently restored and refurbished to its Vaudville origins, so do come to this beautiful, awesome, magical space. You wont be disappointed!
