This is a beautiful vintage home built by one of the the first settlers of Bellingham. The Roeders were a prominent family and it shows in the beautiful materials and quality of the construction. The City of Bellingham Parks department does an incredible job of keeping it up and provides free tours on most Sundays. I highly recommend taking a tour, especially if you are from the area. There were some surprising ties to the town of Lynden as well.

I am very thankful for these Icons of Place to be preserved as Cornerstones in the Advancement of Learning for many generations of Everyday, Workaday Educators and Students around the Pacific Northwest Region and beyond. Many thanks to my colleagues Mr. Ron Bennett and Mr. Pete Kremen for providing the many strong influences in Business & Government Leadership....as many of us who grew up in Bellingham over the years knowing it was the Last Place in the Lower 48 where, Time Stood Still in The Arena. An arena for which I have served over the last 29 Years with Honor, Courage and Commitment. In these final hours of my 29 year career, I...the, Schroeder of Roeder say thank you all in Whatcom County Washington for inspiring me to write the Story Forward.
