Lake Padden offers the best combination of great course conditions, user friendly pricing and friendly staff in all of Whatcom County hands down. Played last week, parking lot was packed so I was worried pace might be slow but we started right on time and finished in 4 hours. Greens were smooth and consistent and fairways were lush. We will be back soon, keep up the good work.

Make sure you NEVER forget your clubs when going to the driving range. I asked for clubs and got a dented driver with a hole in it as well as a females fair-driveway.

This a great little course. Pretty reasonable prices and fairly well maintained. The greens are challenging but their not too fast so that helps. Ive been playing here since the early 80s and its gone through a lot of improvements, especially when it comes to drainage. Watch out for slow play on the weekends.. sometimes it can take over 4 hours...

Love Lake Padden GC June-Oct. Lots of drainage improvements last few years. Plays very well when it dries out in the spring. Greens seem nicer this year probably due to Covid and less play, no Canadians Phil and Premier staff doing a good job, very friendly. Exceptional city golf course, a Bellingham gem.

It took almost 6 hours to play 18 holes because it was so overbooked, they skipped over our group and sent 3 other groups to the tee before us that were scheduled after us on accident, we payed for carts, but they didnt have enough so we had to walk, and every low spot was muddy in the beginning of September. Never playing there again.

The course was in excellent condition and difficult as usual. The only negative I can say is, we booked a week in advance, me coming from Phoenix and my brother from Oregon, for our parents 65th wedding anniversary the deal was $40 , for fees, cart, and breakfast with coffee, book before 730. My brother got the tee time, was only able to get 8 oclock tee time, booking agent said no problem, were pushing up all the tee times,so deal still would apply. Got there and no deal, ended 8/30, so $40 + $15 cart fee, and no breakfast. I did get to demo a nice driver,@ n/c, due to the miscommunication, however

The greens here seem to stay very consistent and fast and the fairways are narrow, much like a country club. Staff seem to always be in a great mood and better yet... they sometimes throw in a free hot dog and drink with your round of golf! I highly reccomend this course if you are near the Bellingham area!

Beautiful course, fairways in excellent condition, greens putt fast and true. Staff was extremely friendly. As a visiting single who had never played the course, I asked to be paired with others familiar with the course and the shop attendant was more than glad to accommodate. Many thanks for the consideration. Encountered a bit of rain during the round, but that just added to my Northwest golf experience. Fun day!

Since the new ownership group took over Lake Padded G.C Oct 2017.the course has gone from one I loved to play to one Im sure I will never play again :( . The course back in August 2017 was well maintained and very enjoyable to play. Sunday May 6, 2018 the course is in tamable shape. Fairways looked like they were cut by a push mower that hadnt been sharped in years, Youd find better greens on a pitch and putt than at Lake Padded. Rough was definitely ROUGH. The parking lot used to be full on a nice sunny day in May but when I got there today the parking lot was very empty. Looks like a lot of golfers are staying away from Lake Padded now. After playing 3 holes I derided that I couldnt do 18 holes with the course conditions. Finished playing 9 holes I went into the Pro shop hoping that the would give me a rain check for 9 holes because of the condition of the course. They unfortunately would not give me a 9 hole credit as they dont give rain checks for bad course conditions. THE NOT SO FUNNY THING IS THEY ARE CHARGING SUMMER RATE.

I couldnt let the review by Bryan S go unchecked. First the City of Bellingham owns Lake Padden Golf Course. The management of the course changed from Mel Fish to Premier Golf Center. Second, to compare the conditions of any course in the Northwest in August to the conditions in early May is unfair. The conditions in August are ideal because the weather then and during the summer months are ideal. In early May, the course is drying out after a very wet winter. The greens have recently been punched and top dressed so as to improve their quality (something every golf course does). I have played Lake Padden Golf Course for the past 11 years and every year the course, and other courses in the area, goes through a recovery process in April and May. The new grounds superintendent is experienced and knowledgeable, taking measures to put the course in the best shape possible. The course manager, initially hired by Mel Fish, is doing an excellent job. Its a pleasure to interact with the employees, play golf and enjoy the restaurant afterwards.

Beautiful Golf Course! Staff was very friendly and accomidating. I was in Bellingham on a Saturday afternoon and wasnt sure when I would be able to play because of my schedule and I was a single. They got me right on and was able to play a nice peaceful round by myself. I would definitely go back and play this course again. Very pretty layout, greens and fairways in great shape. The only thing I can say negative is that a big storm came through the day before and left the course a little wet in some areas and it was cart paths only. This would be the case for most courses after a storm though.

The club house is fairly new. A fair amount of money was spent to improve the club house and the 19th hole. The only item on the menu is a hotdog. The warm summer has made the course fairways brown and the ground is rock hard. The ball rolls forever. After the third ball rolling into oblivion it was time to call it good at the 14th green.
