Took our daughter there today (never boarded before) for a long board. The guy helping us was awesome! Explained things well and even taught her how to start to ride (correct footing etc) . I would recommend this place any day. Will take our son back on his birthday for a new skateboard.

Go here for all your skate needs in Bellingham! Went in not knowing what I needed and I was so impressed with Craig. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He got me hooked up with what I needed and put my setup together in a flash. He told us where to go skate in the area and made the experience so personal. Girls can skate too. Ill be back and wish service like this wasnt so hard to come by, give that guy a raise! :)

This place was open. Friendly staff, inviting but not hovering. Tons of choices w good variety of boards, trucks, wheels etc. There are also lots of clothing to choose from so you can look good too. I believe they had COALPAD t-shirts and now I regret not purchasing one. Clean shop as well as street outside. Items professionally displayed. Location seems safe, good parking w lots of other stuff nearby. Definitely returning here.

Awesome shop that knows the unknown secrets to skateboarding

I brought my son there to buy his first skateboard today. Awesome experience, super knowledgeable. Great customer service. I ended up buying myself a board also. I would highly recommend this shop!

This shop is great! Im brand new to skateboarding and I stopped in because I was having issues with the bushings on my newly purchased longboard. Craig fixed everything up with a new set of washers and didnt even charge me anything! This will definitely be my shop of choice for anything skate related moving forward!

They provided excellent customer service and were able to help my five year pick out perfect board for her. Highly recommend this shop.

Called mid week to confirm if open on Sunday, employee said yes 12-5pm. Website said the same. My daughter and I drove up from Anacortes this last Sunday to a closed store. Left a voicemail and I’ve yet received a call back. This was going to be my daughters first skate board. Thankfully a competitor was open and took great care of us. They also shed some light on how Unknown operates...or doesn’t.

Classic skate shop experience. Zac, Craig and the rest know skateboarding better than most. They support the local scene and local artists. Good selection and service.

Im pretty new to skating and the fellow at Unknown Boardshop was very nice and helpful for me getting a new board. Even let me use his little practice board while he was putting it together!

Not from the local area, and needed new skate shoes with ankle support. The employee working was the owner, who made sure I left with the right shoe. Good conversation to be had if youre ever around. Good dudes, clean shop.

These guys were super nice teaching me about how boards work. They taught me how to ride in the store before I even bought anything. I got a really nice custom made board from them. Ill have you know, someone drove an SUV over that thing today and it didnt even bend. not a single scratch or crack in it whatsoever. The SUV drove over the board just like a rock. Superb boards for a superb shop. Definitely recommend stopping by.

Great community here. shop is dog friendly if you ask. Expert knowledge will get you squared away with what you need, lots of helemts, pads, skate clothes, and skateboard accesories. What you need not in stock? Be Ready to order exactly what you want if something is out of size or or OCD like me and need 3 of the same obscure shaped deck. A shop with employees that maintain a local presence at Bellingham skatepark, which seams to hold some debate in the skate community. Find them on instagram staying relevant with fresh local clips. Vibe is mellow, you could kill an hour here to get out of the rain and watch a skate video or come for the epic art installations on Art walk nights. waiting for a group to hit the parking garages or film an edit maybe a common scene. Pretty much Cheers where everybody knows your name, or at least your dogs

Graham is a real nice dude! Live about 30-45 minutes away, but still go there if I need to get some new gear. Super great shop, and the owner is a fantastic guy! His knowledge is top shelf!

This place is soooo great! Zach is the best! Just bought a board today and he let me try out a bunch of different boards and taught me a bunch of useful stuff cause Im a beginner. Only place to buy a good board with fantastic service!!!!

Cant say enough about this shop and these guys! The service, support and knowledge is top notch. They have the gear you want available with awesome local options as well as popular whats HOT brands and if they dont have it...theyll get it for you. Supporting a local board shop is easy to do even if its a 90 minute drive. Shouldnt be an Unknown shop...but it is a sick name! :)

Zack has his heart and soul in skateboarding. Full of advice, encouragement, and knowledge of the history of skateboarding, he is the one to talk to if you skate

The owner is so cool. He helps you find the right size. You can pick the ones that are already put together or you can pick a deck then pick the trucks the bearings etc. But overall it is definitely a five star shop.

Expect a fantastic experience here. The ower has been skating since the early 80s and is still an avid skater who sponsors a local team. The prices are more than fair and the staff couldnt be friendlier. Very welcoming environment with room to try out boards.

I was impressed. The guys are easy to talk to and were willing to switch and swap just about anything I wanted on a complete board that definitely cost less than I expected. It was a present for my son and he loves it!

I am new to skateboarding and Zac is the absolute best! He kept throwing random boards at me and let me try practically everything until I was satisfied with a board. I was taught the basic stance, weight-balance, and small maneuvers for an hour before deciding on a board. They can also build a complete based off parts of your choice, and practically everything can be customisable based off your preference (color/grip-tape style, etc.). Dont see anything you like? They will order it for you!Unfortunately for me, I happened upon the shop on a weekend familys visit to the states (Im Canadian), and lacked research prior to stepping in, hence leaving empty handed. Had this not been the case, Id had definitely made a purchase here, both to my satisfaction and to support this local skate shop. GOOD ON YOU ZAC!
