Apple picking at Eckerts has always been a fun family outing, but now even more so with people cooped up because of COVID looking for a safe outdoor family activity.We were pleased when we read on their website that we could take the dog, and we werent alone, there were two other families with dogs on our tractor ride to the orchard.Along with all the different kinds of apples, we picked up two pumpkins as well. One word of warning: its really easy to go home with too many apples. You might want to call your grandma for her apple pie recipe, or apple cobbler, applesauce, apple crisp, apple tart, caramel apples, apple brown Betty, etc.I just yesterday finally used the last of our Eckerts apples; I sliced up what we had left and dehydrated them to make dried apple slices.

Americana at its best. Love visiting for each harvest to pick your own apples, peaches, pumpkins. Kids play area and petting zoo was a hit. Country store had a lot of local and international must favorites. Ice cream parlor was also a hit (Hint: find the kids menu). Fresh apple and pumpkin pies were awesome. Craft beer selection also is good with some hard to find beers. We’ve been to two locations and will go back.

This place is a community staple, especially around any holiday time. We just visited in October to pick pumpkins and enjoy the fall festivities, and we were not disappointed! Eckerts have everything you need to not only decorate your front porch, but fill your kitchen with delicious fall foods. Fresh apples, homemade cakes and cookies, salsas and dips, even a huge selection of wine. If youve never been here, youre missing out. Bring your family, your kids, your friends, your dogs; you wont be disappointed!

My food was cold I ordered the 4 piece chicken and mashed potatoes and green beans.. Green beans were warm and cold mixture potatoes room temp, chicken was not flavorful nor juicy it was dry my chicken leg was so dry and the bone was dark in color, the wing looked a week old. This is one of my go to meals from them and by far the worst I have ever had..On a great note my coffee was fresh, hot, and flavorful.. Usually Eckerts is a great place to eat for home style cooking..As you see in the photos the presentation is awesome... They dropped the ball on my visit in a bad way.. Still crazy about the apple butter thumbs up

This is a great place to have a apple picking experience! The ride out to the fields in a wagon pulled by a tractor is great fun for us non-farmers! Getting to eat an apple you actually picked off the tree in the field is very enjoyable. They had pumpkins as well if you want one!The store is very clean and has wonderful relishes, baked items and other things you can not find any where else other than at great grandmas. Really good food you can take home and continue to enjoy.We have been there for other fruit picking and we always have fun. If you can go on a weekday in the morning there are less crowds.I am glad this is available for us to go pick our own fruit!

Tree chopping with the family. Covid accessible: masks, space respected on the neat trailer ride to the trees. However, when it is a rainy day, you may want to take a dry towel for the trailer to avoid a wet rusty.

Because of CoVid19, they werent doing the wagon rides or fruit picking.maybe next visit we can try the restaurant/custard/and tour the orchards. We were there a little over a week ago.

My mother in law lives in Mascoutah and we have been coming here with our family for years, it is such a warm, friendly and wonderful place... it feels like home even though I live far away in Florida, coming to eat at Eckerts is a staple of our life when we visit our family. We love this place and it feels like home. I always miss it so much when we are away. We have many good memories eating at Eckerts and look forward to our next visit.

I had a great time! The place is very family-friendly. They have all kinds of stuff to do, so be prepared to spend a long part of the day there.Their Nursery is gorgeous and the prices are fair. They also have a cute souvenir store and marketing with a bakery inside and an area for cooking classes. They sell everything, like deli, wine, beer, coffee, soap, snacks, jelly, bread, baked meals, and of course produce. They have samples available around the store.They also have a restaurant and an ice cream store. We tried the vanilla ice cream cone, it was delicious.We collected peaches and blueberries, they were very good and sweet. The sunflower maze is fantastic, very beautiful! I took so many cool pictures!Make sure to bring sunscreen, they have plenty of ice-cold water available pretty much everywhere. Only seen one bathroom, the only reason I gave four stars instead of five.

Cute place, but maybe a little pricey. Sixty dollars for a tree you cut yourself, but I suppose youre paying for the experience more than anything. Not sure what the price is for a precut tree.

Going here with my sister, brother and boyfriend was a blast. Each one of us enjoy our time picking apples and pumpkins. We also enjoy our delicious meal at the restaurant which we barely had to wait to be seated and had fun going shopping at the large store. Cant wait to go back again.

Ekerts is making the best of the current situation. They are doing a good job of keeping wagons not overcrowded. Out in the orchards there i plenty of room for people to spread out. The country store was good as well, all there were wearing masks and there is generally enough room to keep distance. The baked goods were great as usual.

Ordered the 10 piece fried chicken family meal. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. Ended up with enough food for another nights meal. Will definitely order it again.

I havent been to Eckerts Farm since I was a kid over 30 years ago and it was so refreshing to take my boys age 8 and 5 for the first time in the midst of COVID19. We wore masks, picked apples and our Family pumpkin. We cant wait to decorate. They had so much fun. The selfie station at the end was the icing on the cake. Best pumpkin patch to go to. the staff is always friendly, theres always something to do even if your not picking anything. we have went every year for the past 4 years. the restaurant is really good, although theres usually a long wait. I definitely recommend.

Great place with way more shopping than I was expecting, but seriously guys you need to sell individual cider and donuts for shoppers. You are really missing out!

We decided to check out this place short notice on a Saturday with my wife and daughters, and are so incredibly happy we did! The peaches and apples were delicious, there are tons of great photo opportunities, and we even grab some apple cider to bring home and try to make some adult drinks with! ;)Very reasonable prices, And absolutely kid friendly. We recommend this to anyone!

Always a fun place to go with fall being the best time. Ride the wagon and harvest apples or pumpkins, let the kids play on the farm type play equipment, breathe in the fresh air, have lunch at the restaurant. Great place for adults and kids alike.

One amazing store. Havent been here in Decades. What an incredible place. Prices are relatively reasonable and service is exceptional. Well worth the trip particularly if you have small children.

I went to get just one jar of apple butter to send to my daughter!! REALLY!! Walked out the door shaking my head I spent $65!!I have no self discipline when it comes to my kids and grandkids. LOL!!! Lots and lots of great food and awesome gift ideas for everyone!! Fresh apples!!Beautiful mums galore!! Homemade fudge, cookies and treats. Peach butter and pumpkin butter too!! A great place to visit and grab a bite to eat at the restaurant!! Fun for the whole family!!

Had an excellent time at Eckerts over the weekend! In order to go into the fields for picking, you have to have a reservation! Make sure you do this ahead of time...they sell out quickly! Cost is $5.Very COVID friendly...all staff and patrons required to wear a mask even when in the fields picking!Make sure you stop by the store and grab a 6 pack of apple cider donuts :) !

I love their country store!!! Me and my husband always get a good treat from here. Rather it is a wine, jam, or just some fruit. We have a good time with the pumpkin patch also!

Food Was mediocre, not hot or fresh. Except the fresh biscuits/donuts & apple butter...The scenery outside is really nice. The frozen custard is the best it was waaay better than the food. I had the chicken & dumplings with the sugar scone which didnt pair well at all, my children has the kids meals with the green beans & fries which wasnt hot at all, & my mom had the BBQ pork steak & Mac & cheese & the 8 chicken wings which we didnt even take our leftovers overs which was basically our entire meals... THE FOOD WAS NOT FRESH AT ALL. However I do recommend The market which is lovely & the Frozen custard which was delicious!

We came here for a family apple picking trip. My wife did do online registration for the tractor ride, it was crowded and you really needed reservations or you had at least a 30 minute wait to get on the tractor to take you to the fields. They are picking Jonathon, Red & Golden Delicious Apples right now. You can also go to their pumpkin patch, to pick out your own pumpkin. The tractor ride is $5 per person and apples are $1.99 a pound. We did not venture into the store, we was outside the whole time. It is very dusty riding the tractor to & from the orchard/pumpkin patch, so you might want to avoid wearing white.

As always, a great experience. Expect it to be a little more expensive, but you are paying fir an experience. I wish they had more outdoor shaded seating for non restaurant patrons who wish to sit outside and eat. But we were able to find a shaded tree and picnic there, no problem.

Had very exciting day with my children today. Its was a surprising hot day for it to be October. Not too happy about the reservation fees now. I understand that with the pandemic there is limitation but why charge just for a reservation and then we are still charged for whatever is picked too? The childrens tractor maze needs some updating. Kids cant even pedal the wheels. Either their too old or a different ground needs to be made for them to move. Custard ice cream stand needs a little more help with speed. Waited in line for 30mins before I even made it to the order window. Very slow. I will always love Eckerts been going to this farm since a child and now my children go. But theres nothing wrong with updating a few things sometimes.

My family was told we werent welcome because I didnt have a mask on while waiting in line for the restroom. Never asked if I was able to wear one. At this point my son started crying because he was unable to use the restroom. Employees did not care about the situation, just that we COMPLY. Used to enjoy bringing the family here, but have been made aware that we arent welcome, because of medical restrictions.

Amazing we went for peach picking and blackberries. The fruit is unreal! Everything was amazing! The prices, the flavor of their fruit! We also went into the market after and got 4 gigantic ears of corn for $2. Everyone is so nice and helpful!

Picking fruit with the family is a treat. The kids love seeing where these foods come from and getting to sneak a snack while picking.The restaurant has some good food and the little general store has lots of things to go with your pickings.

This was done in a very good format. We ate lunch the walk and fed the animals then pick apples and pumpkins. We then went in store and shop the went home enjoy it and the kids love it you have a great place for the family to enjoy together

Such a fun place! Country store has a bakery, full of Autumn goodies, even doggie cookies (of course I had to get one for my dog)! Wonderful produce section, seasonal gifts. Well be back to eat at the restaurant one day soon.

Good places to go and enjoy with family before the fall comes. There was no much rush and kid enjoyed like every year!

Super windy while we were there. Dirt was flying in our eyes while looking for pumpkins and picking apples so they definitely need to water down the field! Then the power went out so we waited in line for about 30 or longer just to pay for our apples and pumpkin.

This was our first visit to Eckerts with our two toddlers and we will definitely be back! They enjoyed the apple and pumpkin picking. It was worth the drive from Missouri and we will definitely be back.

Social distance is not an issue at Eckert‘s!! The beauty of the area, coupled with Great Autumn weather and an enjoyable time with family equals the perfect getaway!! We will definitely be back!

This is one my favorite places to visit when in the area. The food is never disappointing. Great comfort food. The store next door has a great deli, fresh baked goodies, clothing and all sorts of plants and flowers. Well worth the drive.

The food was ok. It was expensive for the sizes that they gave you. The only issue that I had is that the server had part of his hand in my salad when he was bringing it out. Needless to say, with everything going on right this made me uncomfortable. I spoke to a manger and all she had to say was she tells the servers to put the salads on a tray. The rest of my parties food was cold. We had looked forward to this all day. I was a little disappointed and so were they.

Eckert’s is an amazing place. Their local produce is outstanding! You get a tractor ride on a wagon to pick fruit! Very awesome for kids!! Everything is good! The restaurant is delicious! But the best part is picking your own fruit and vegetables! You kids will love it! While your picking, you can eat as much as you want! Picking the fruit is fun and a pretty good deal. Plus you supporting local farmers. And it’s delicious. Don’t forget a fresh strawberry concrete during strawberry season! You never tasted custard this good, well except maybe Ted Drew’s, but the strawberries are fresher here! Stop for lunch and picks one fruit! In the summer they have rides for kids, a mini fair type thing with bouncy castles, and food truck festivals! They often have bands in the evening during the summer.

This place is worth the while for people who like picking veggies fruits from the trees. They take good care of people by providing water in every farm you enter and help stay hydrated. Price is very reasonable. I would definitely recommend people to visit this place and have a good time.

We go to Eckerts every year for apple picking. This time was not so great. They couldnt find my reservation, I was told no charge on Mondays, they charged my party $2 each for a total of $12.Apples were not sweet.

Such a fun experience! We picked apples and pumpkins, ate at the concession stands, and got to feed the animals! I would recommend to anyone of any age!

This place was amazing, this was my first time there and I was on sensory over load. The produce was amazing, fresh baked goods delicious, made in site sausages to die for, and just the local selections were over the top. The fresh strawberries OMG reminded me of my grandmother, when she would pick her fresh strawberries from a small patch that was over 50yrs old, they were small and packed with super sweet delicious farm fresh taste. Only regret not buying more, but I guess that just means I will for sure be back.

This was our first time to Eckerts and it was wonderful! We enjoyed lunch at their restaurant, visited their general store, picked peaches & veggies, and completed the sunflower maze. The huge sunflowers were $1 each and pick-your-own boxes were only $10-$20! I definitely reccomend visiting here if you havent. Completely worth our 2 hour drive; well be back!

The BEST peach pie we’ve EVER had! So much so we will be making another stop on our way home (Texas) to take a couple of pies with us. Their restaurant was also amazing.

Was here on Saturday was greatly disappointed didnt know there was 5 dollar fee per person. We agree that a minimum fee should be paid maybe 2 dollars per person. At 5 per person for a family of four thats 20 dollars and you havent even paid for the apples that you pick. We would have picked at least 25 to 50 pounds which would have more than made up for the minimum cost of 2 dollars each. Was greatly disappointed and walked away.

The food is still good but the service at the restaurant is really going down. Took over an hour to get us chicken dumplings and country fried steak, had to ask for bread because our server forgot, and they turned the lights off on us 30 mins before they closed.

We had an amazing time this morning. We had an issue with ticketing and the staff was extremely helpful. Justin helped us through the entire process and was great!

We LOVE Eckerts! Its so nice to have so much to do at one place. The kids can play, we can dine, grocery shop, etc. My son calls it the green store. He likes to have his own little grocery cart to shop. We get our pumpkins from Eckerts when its Halloween time and we get our Christmas trees there for Christmas. We go apple picking and more. Awesome place to take the kids!

The admitted that it was more like weekend crowds vs week day.They did their best to help everyone in timely fashion

There were some really great deals on in season produce and so much variety to choose from. I sampled Eckerts peach wine at the restaurant and it was so delicious; I had to buy a bottle.

We always have a good time. We didnt pic this time and the peaches that are tree ripened were ok but not nearly as good as when we pick. The restaurant was awesone. Great food, great service and the peach tea was so delicious! Thanks! we also bought things in the store and the plants are growing like crazy and blooming beautifully. We have been going there for 30 plus years. Our kids always loved it. We will be back for apples and all the fall fun and goodies!

There isnt much to do at this one like the Milldstat location which I went to today which was totally awesome. But this location doesnt have nearly the attractions as the Milldstat. This Belleville has a nice store and a restaurant and apple picking and a few things but that is about it.

Loved the free summer concerts! Custard stand is cool too. I got a free kids cone since I had an A on my report card :-) I know thats intended for kids but custard always tastes better when its free! I also went another time and got a peach smoothie- very good! I love pick your own as well. Ive been coming since I was a kid & have many fond memories there.
