Definitely a place to go, but the tons of people make it feel a lot less natural

The museum is a Victorian era home with a great collection of items that show the rich history of Belleville. The museum is free with donations accepted. Pick up a great book like the one we did as another good way to contribute. The museum has volunteers and a curator on location to answer questions.

Totally enjoyed the Haunted Tour of Belleville. It was nice to get exercise on a beautiful evening, learning the creepy history of the buildings in town. However, I did not understand what these random stories actually had to do with Belleville or how it tied to anything related in town.

We went on the haunted Belleville walk provided by the St. Clair County Historical Society. It was very interesting. I never knew Belleville had so much history and so many firsts.
