Great hiking, not super challenging. Beautiful waterfalls and limestone caves. Nice signage identifying plant species, old structures and even a 1930s car used for erosion prevention! Im looking forward to a return in the spring.

We had a blast at Tanyard Creek Nature Trail with my family. Kids loved the nature, the exercise, swimming in the creek, everything we did! It’s not a difficult hike which is suitable for younger kids. The trails are extremely clean. We will definitely be back to hike more!

Amazing! This is only an hour from Joplin and less than two hours from Springfield. Make sure to take clothes you can esse our swim in as the water is irresistible. Not advised for those that have triumphs walking. Their are some trails that could be used by wheelchairs but they dont go to the waterfall. This is a must visit place. Many trails to walk beautiful and lots of shade.

We had our first hike on Tanyard Creek today and it was well worth the drive. The area is gorgeous, and there was so much to explore. There are paved trails, but we had way more fun exploring the non paved ones. We ended up going about 2.5 miles and we could have stayed all day and may not have seen all of it. The waterfall was our favorite part. A lot of the trails are deep in the woods so bug repellent is a must. And bring wading shoes or swim suit for a dip in the creek. We will definitely be coming back!!

This is a great trail for the whole family and pets too. There are signs about the various trees and benches to rest on along the route. Most of the trail is actually paved which is great. Theres a waterfall and bridges and lots of wildlife! Our teenagers loved it and it took about 2 hours.

I would give this zero stars if I could. These trails were swamped with people who had no regard for nature. We mustve seen 60 people in the 20 min we were there. They were tromping through the woods, off the trails to get to photo spots. They were all there to have photos taken. Some were wedding parties, some were high school kids. They were all climbing around barriers and one couple were even scribing their names onto some rocks. These were grown adults and teens, people who should know better. One mother even encouraged her daughter to climb over the barrier to get to the waterfall for her senior photos. What we thought would be a quiet nature hike was just awful.I live in Eureka Springs and Ive never seen tourists with such blatant disregard.

Waterfalls and the trails are well maintained. Long trails and if you go any day other than weekend usually not as many people as you would expect. Great swiming holes in summer and plenty of different wildlife. Public restroom, doggie waste bags, and trail markers. When you go dont forget to donate a dollar or more to keep it clean and maintained.

Took the kids for a nature hike this morning. Trails are well maintained and there is enough variation in routes that you can tailor your hike based on how much time you have to spend. Located close enough to Joplin that this will become a regular venue go us.

I absolutely adore Tanyard Creek. Not only for exploring with my kids but also from a photographers perspective. This is one of my most requested locations for photoshoots and my clients in Bella Vista are absolutely right for wanting to get their photos done here. Endless beauty! As for the trails, they are great for all ages and arent too awful long. Definitely love this location.

Awesome park! See rock formations and amazing, beautiful water drops and a waterfall dropping water over a beautiful area full of rocks. The water spreads out then is again funneled down a more narrow channel where the powerful water dashes downstream where rock formations create stairs where the water dashes down and around rocks.... Easy walk for the benefit!

Reading the 1 stars reviews make me laugh. 1 person said too many mothers and children. let me help this person. its a nature trail meant for learning. again people complain that there was too many people. well maybe i can help again. its a nature trail in the middle of town. if you want a trail with little or no people go into the mountains. come on people use that lump that is 3 feet above your butt. i normally dont do nature trails butt i love waterfalls and this nature trail has much more to offer than just a waterfall. awesome rock formations, great little stream, great little bridges, signs explaining the plant life and a outstanding waterfall with beautiful rock formations. the towns people should feel blessed that they have just a wonderful place in their back yard.

Havent been to the trail in years, but it was wonderfully kept up, and even had some extra safety rails added in at certain spots. There is a surprising number of benches for those who need a break, or want to sit and absorb the scenery. The only downside to the couple hours we spent walking, is that there are no trail indicators for distance, water crossings, or dead ends. We made it through a few different loops before we gave up on finding the waterfall, but still had a great time. Its definitely worth checking out, but wear good shoes!

Tanyard Creek Nature Trail was very beautiful. And to us it was great because it was only half an hour away. Its also free to come here and Hike the nature trail. The waterfall was simply amazing. We also enjoyed the few Bridges they had. There were also several different varieties of trees . What was very educational was that there were many placards explaining different details about some of the features that were here . But just one thing as a word of caution, there is just a few poison ivy plants along the edges of the trail that you just want to watch out for if youre allergic. But most of the trails are plenty wide enough and maintained so its not really an issue of getting poison ivy.
