Superb place to eat and the staff are amazing. We had our 8 week old baby with us and they were so accommodating. The food is delicious. The atmosphere was brilliant, we had dinner at the first sitting so I dont know what the Jazz night was like. The desserts were delicious. I would highly recommend eating here.

Its great for jazz/blues any time, especially when a live band is playing. It attracts an older, well-heeled, and somewhat snobbish crowd. Drinks are expensive: forget about your pint, go for a premium brand of hard liquor, or a cocktail you havent tried yet. One of a handful of places in town where you must book a table for the evening in advance: no chance to get one on the night if a band is on. Seating is luxurious and it segregates the sitting and the standing people a little too well: great if you dont want to be disturbed, not so great if you are left standing whilst your party are sitting.

Have visited Berts several times and the photos are from a meal whilst listening to a live Kazz band. The good and service was fantastic, the waiters could not do enough to make we enjoyed our meal and the band played a request of ours as it as a birthday meal.Love going here, very highly recommended.

This restaurant was so much fun, make sure y’all stop by at night when the live Jazz starts to play. A couple of delicious, well-crafted drinks makes the night light up. The food was extremely delicious but very limited in options. What really made the pricey bill worth it was the service provided.

Had lunch last weekend and it was very nice, the attention to detail, fresh ingredients, balanced combination of flavours and overall our palets had a good time with different experience than the casual restaurants in Belfast can only dream of. Not forgotten, the service was brilliant! and well deserved a 5 star review. This place is well worth a visit! And not only for a drink and a jazz session at night!Definitely recommended!

Quite literally one of the best bar experiences in Belfast. The atmosphere is electric, with this great hum of life, but you can still hear what youre saying. Theres always live music on which further adds to the atmosphere. Combine this with the greatest drinks list in all of Belfast and you will have a truly phenomenal night.

Five star service, amazing food and terrific music. The chef and their team at Burts go out of their way to make you feel special. We went here to celebrate on our last night in Belfast and absolutely nothing about it disappointed. The menu offers something for everyone, from vegans to venison lovers. Their cocktails are so delicious and they sell cigars which you can smoke with your apres dinner drinks on the heated patio. The cherry on top is that the piano player even broke out some Tom Waits.Bottom line, treat yourself to an evening at Burts Jazz Bar, its the bees knees!

Spent the Evening at Bertz Jazz Bar and it was superb. We enjoyed the set menu of 3 courses and bottle of wine for £70. Looked expensive but when the food came it was out of this world. Serious complements to the chef! To top off a fantastic meal, we enjoyed some fabulous music from a live Jazz band. Their talent was phenomenal and the fact that they welcomed requests made the experience more personal. To finish with, the customer service was outstanding. The staff were so attentive, friendly and on the ball. Definitely recommend this bar and will certainly be returning on my next trip to Belfast !

Went for dinner and some cocktails. Music was great and service was amazing. Food was good - maybe overpriced but it was good none the less. I was a little bit disgruntled about the £5.00 water they sat on my table without telling me and when I checked the bill there was a £20 stage charge which once again - I wasnt told about. I paid it of course, but I think it should definitely be made clear that these things are chargeable. Thankfully I am lucky that money is not a big issue for me but this could have been upsetting for someone who just brought enough for what was on the menu. But it is the Merchant Hotel so it is always going to be a bit pricey. Cocktails were lovely too.

Dined with my mother on the Friday 10th of January with the winter 3 course meal set for £23.The ambience was amazing as soon as we arrived at 6pm with a great atmosphere at the bar. Authentic supper club interior right down to the incredible cocktail menu - so much to look at and take in, truly terrific.Service from the beginning was friendly and extremely professional - we really enjoyed the waiter inserting his own opinions and taking us through the menu. Around 7pm as the restaurant became half full service started to stall a little and become rushed but still was extremely well handled. My starter of mussels was 10/10, a massive portion and such fresh seasoned taste. My mum found her pear soup so-so, it tasted more like a standard leek or vegetable cream soup. Unfortunately my main course was the turkey roulade which was simply awful - tasted like a ready meal, extremely over cooked and under seasoned; I ate the turkey and left the rest as it was basically inedible. On the flip side my mum thought her pork pie was extremely good. For dessert I went for the tarte tatin and my mum for the chai creme brulee. My dessert was delicious right up until I discovered an extremely long fair hair buried within the baked pear which was bizarre (the waiter explained the chefs were all male) and immediately put me off my food for the rest of the night. My mum found her creme brulee neither here nor there - very average. The turkey roulade was kindly taken off the bill unprompted as I didnt eat much and the dessert was discounted. Our final bill was extremely reasonable at £70 for 3 courses each (somewhat!) and a bottle of wine and cocktail (I went for the el dialbo which was delicious) so I still felt it was a good night out but my stomach was not very satisfied. Although I must add that we were unhappy with 700ml of water coming to £4.80 and felt we should have been asked if we wanted tap or bottled.Would recommend to anyone for a drink as the drinks list is outstanding and scenery/ambience ticks all the boxes. Unfortunately I would not recommend the restaurant food from what we experienced this time.

We stumbled upon this beautiful jazz bar one Saturday night as part of The Merchant Hotel. Wish we had of know about it beforehand as you wold definitely book a table for dinner and jazz music. Such a stunning venue, very old-style plush velour décor. We just stood a t the bar and enjoyed from a distance however there were other more laid-back tables as you go further back. Definitely one place to book in advance, get dressed up and have a great night. Jazz players were brilliant as well.
