Super job over the last couple of years. Tim does a super job with what he has to work with. Meaning he needs a 2nd to care as much as he does. Awesome course

AWFUL EXPERIENCE!! ground keeper watched us park our cart and walk over to the hole.Proceeded to turn the sprinkler system on and soak our cart and belongings all the club house attendant had to say was “I don’t know what to tell you”They Had a chance to smooth over a bad experience and blew it!!Will never be back!

Waiting for my golf buddy to arrive gave me the opportunity to watch the owners sanitize each golf cart that was returned over a 45 minute period at noon this Sunday. There were dozens. I would have felt comfortable eating off the gas pedal when they were through.Course itself is in pristine condition. Over the past 3 seasons it’s gone from good to great. The owner and his wife have done a phenomenal job. Prices have remained below average and the course conditions well above it. I d recommend anyone who hasn’t played in the past 4 or 5 years to give it another shot. Less of course you still prefer to pay more and run the risk of catching a deadly virus.

Member for 5 years, supposed to have prefered Tee times, but do not!!5 hour round of golf is not enjoyable!!Slowest round due to non members playing and looking for balls the whole round. On the 10th hole there were 4 foursomes waiting to tee off. 2 member players who walk, left after 9 holes due to slow play. Not happy!!On a good note, the course is in reallly good shape, especially with the severe drought we had.

They were rude, inattentive and disingenuous. They cursed out me and my friends, they are suspicious of anyone under the age of 50 and they lack common courtesy. Awful upkeep, awful manners and terrible service. They want it to be an over 50 community and they will find any reason to be spiteful. I’m a member there and they treated me awful. And the course is in utter disarray. Makes me wonder where my membership money is going.

Couldn’t agree more with others. The course is nice, the owner is horrible. I went with a group of 4 and bought a groupon a few hours ago. Even though my brother golfs here all the time as a member (and was with us) Tim showed us no respect. The Groupon was still pending when we arrived and we asked if we could pay Tim after the 18 holes, to give time for the Groupon to process. He said absolutely not and said that we were “already ripping him off.” After our 18 holes we tried to talk some sense into him and he continued saying he wouldn’t take the Groupon after showing him the order, order number, and payment method. He kept telling us that he can’t operate with people like us getting discounts. However, HE IS THE ONE OFFERING THE DISCOUNTS through sites like Groupon. He ultimately cut me off and then I told him that I will never return to that course. He said “Good.” Mill Valley isn’t struggling financially because of its course, it is struggling because it has a rude and inconsiderate owner.

Notoriously incompetent owner Tim continues to amaze with his ineptitude. Was part of a 4some that was told to leave today because Tim had a banned player confused with someone from our group. The issue was, this was innacurate and he was simply confused. Upon coming to grips with the fact he was wrong, he backtracked and said there were no tee times (There were 10 cars in the parking lot). The reason this course is, and will always be garbage: It has an owner telling paying customers to leave. Spend your money anywhere else. If you have no where else to play, you’re still better off.

Don’t know what happens to this course. 10 years ago it sucked. Last year a friend convinced me to go back because they had turned things around. He was right. It was awesome. Great views. Tuff course. But the fairways, tee boxes and greens were top notch. Went back today. First, they’re charging $40 to play 18. Total rip-off for the course conditions and amenities. Course conditions. Awful. Things burnt up, terrible mowing, tee box and collar mowers operating while were trying to tee off and putt. Long story short. Place sucks. I’ll never go back. Go to cold spring, ledges, Chicopee or Hickory. Similar prices. Superior conditions.

First off fake news America, certain people who leave reviews, guides or not, shouldn’t be trusted. PERIOD.Millvalley doesn’t charge $30 let alone $40 to play 18 holes cart included. Food and beer is the most affordable around and where else could you get a 3 year membership for $150?The owner was nice enough to let my sister use their facilities for a baby shower for nearly 60 people and it cost less than $200.Facts are facts folks. And $40 a round isn’t one of them. But sweet greens, challenging fairways and an owner who care are. It’s about time google starts taking away credentials and instituting “local guide” policy that makes sense. The 400lb guy on his computer in bed whose never been somewhere shouldn’t be allowed to comment on it.Help make Millvalley great again by spreading the truth not bs. Have a great day folks and hit em straight!

Since my last review Ive golfed here two more times. Both times everything went perfect. Greens were in AMAZING shape. The course looked phenomenal. Quite a few other local courses look beat and burned this time of year. Millvalleys stellar irrigation system and grounds crew solves that issue for them. The only minor issue I have at MillValley is how people dress here. They are trying hard to raise the bar. That would be an easy problem to solve. Wouldnt cost a penny. Anyway. Overall another pleasant experience. Never felt rushed nor thought that I had made the wrong decision by choosing MillValley. My father and I are looking forward to becoming members. Its by far the BEST deal in MA. $445 for the rest of 2017 and all of 2018!! Do the math, thats cheaper then a gym membership at the YMCA. $448/14 = $31.79 or to make it simple about $1.00 a day!!

I wish I could give this rating less than 1 star...A few weeks ago, my father and I played a round of 18 holes - course was in good shape and we loved the challenging layout. Unfortunately the service ruined our experience. After playing 9 holes, we went into the clubhouse to grab a couple quick beers, but there was nobody there (oh well, well grab some after 18). We finished up our rounds and went in to get a few beverages and some food, sat down at a table and waited... and waited... and waited. After about 10-15 minutes we finally got up and left disappointed. My father sent an email to the owner telling him about our unfortunate experience. The owner invited us back to play another round. Well.... you guessed it invited back obviously means pay full price. So we went back yesterday on the 4th of July to play 18 (as we were invited back to play personally from the owner). We paid for our cart $30 for the both of us and thought the greens fees were waived. While on the 5th hole, the owner races across the fairway over to us and proceeds to barrage us with derogatory comments about how we stole those rounds and how we tried to rip him off. He then kicked us off the golf course, refused to reimburse the cart fee (which we paid for 18 holes, and only golfed 4), and told us to never come back.So needless to say... this golf course is a complete embarrassment to the game of golf and the owner is without question one of the most pompous and rude people we have ever dealt with. Dont worry Mill Valley Golf Links - you will never see another dime from us again.

Last Friday I golfed here for the first time. I golf 6 or 7 days a week at almost every course within a 100 mile radius of Sturbridge. This course instantly became one of my favorites. Just so you can gauge what I consider an exceptional golf course another one for me would be Cyprian Keyes. While Im not saying this is Cyprian Keyes I am saying that this course offers enough of something that other courses cant to separate it self from the rest of the pack. If you like VALUE, CHALLENGE, and a RELAXED atmosphere (unless of course the owner is chasing you out) then I truly recommend you try this place or give it another shot. EVERY one of the 18 holes is unique in some sort of way. This is not your vanilla course. I had interactions with the owner Tim, one of his bartenders and grounds crewman. My initial conversation with Tim was a minor disagreement over some online booking thing but he quickly resolved the issue in a mutually satisfactory way. I am actually golfing there again tomorrow and will follow up with a second opinion afterwards. Im planning on taking advantage of the 7 day a week membership for $445 which I was told will also cover not only all of 2018 but the rest of 2017 as well, as long as things go well tomorrow that is...

If i could give a lower rating I would. I had an expired Groupon by 4 days. I called and spoke with an employee the day before I wanted to golf and was told that I would be no problem to use. The day of my golf trip I called to verify I could use it and I was told no. I was able to speak to the owner who was a total *expletive *. When I explained to him his employee said I could use the Groupon, his response was how do I know it was my employee? My response was he answered the phone Thank you for calling Mill Valley Golf Course. He then proceeds to say So!. Short of it is, he said I am hanging up on you and your not welcome at my course and that he has 140 golfers not trying to use an expired coupon. I Asked if he could honor it and he explained that he wouldnt or let me on the course if I tried to use it for face value as explained in the Groupon policies. I have spoken with several fellow golfers and I have been told that its a terrible course and not well maintained. I understand now how its a struggling course. As a business owner of a public course he has zero customer service skills and I would recommend that any golfer stay away from Mill Valley and enjoy anyone of the many beautiful course around. A change in management might do Mill Valley good. A formal complaint has been filed with Groupon to have the services suspended.

Today, for the first time in a few years I decided to go golfing here at mill valley again. After some past experiences led me away initially, I put them beside and chose to put my faith back into my local golf club. But let me tell you was I disappointed when my group pulled up to the first hole. We were startled to find two workers pull up angrily who asked us to leave. Just like everyone else, I work hard for my money so for two morons to question my integrity, that generally doesnt sit well with me. I chose to leave ultimately and vowed to never return. The owner is also a complete douchebag. Just another grumpy Irish drunk.
