Very safe, clean, and enjoyable. I think it is time to go back to the movies. Food good, service good, and comfortable recliner seats. All wiped down and marked accordingly. Order on line for less traffic and less personal contact. Coldest beer in the HEB area!!!!

Great food and got to watch star wars. What can beat that?

First time back since the pandemic. Very quiet b/c few ppl are attending movies. Youre encouraged to purchase tickets online but can still buy tickets at the theater. Signage everywhere for social distancing, on seats indicating disinfection and plenty of sanitizing stations. Patrons required to wear masks when not eating/drinking but not sure how well that is adhered to. If purchasing food/drink you do that at the bar before you go into the theater or online when purchasing tickets and indicate p/u or delivery to your seat. Food delivered in disposable container with plastic utensils vs plates/silverware. Had a burger/ fries: both were good and filling. Seems like overall cost slightly higher to cover new requirements. Good experience given the circumstance.

Good theater, but their practice of charging a service fee simply for ordering tickets online +through their own website+ is pretty ridiculous.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Popcorn was great, and the drinks are large! Excellent place for my wife and I to celebrate our 11 year anniversary! We will be back!And the reclining chairs added a at home feeling! Love it!

I fully appreciate all of the precautions they are taking to prevent the spread of COVID. However, I almost missed part of the movie due to incorrect directions from staff regarding how to retrieve my food order.

Not happy with food must have been very old buns were like cracker. Meat was cold hotdogs were very old.

Good experience....made better by Bad boys for life, movie. Comfy seats....good range of meals and drinks to choose from the menu, clean restrooms.

Very clean but food is just okay and a little overpriced for the quality you get. The staff is not rude or polite either. Just there if that makes sense. Loungers are comfortable and clean but wish a pillow and small blanket were offered like other similar theaters. Price is good and comparable to there dine in theaters

I love going to Movie Tavern! Every time my family comes to visit we go and see two or three movies within the week. We love going to movies where you can get good food and great service at a reasonable price! The reclining seats are really comfortable, almost too comfortable. If you go to a movie that isn’t very interesting you can at least get a couple hours sleep.

Great neighborhood theater. I love they have a hydration station before you get to you auditorium. Free iced water. I appreciate a company that is not trying to milk every dime out of me. This fact alone will earn my business. Great seats. Great service. Great sound system.

My husband and I saw a double feature here for Christmas. The first movie we had excellent service, the second was so, so. The seats are very comfortable and bathrooms are well maintained. They provide water in the hallways, and the food is great! All other staff was very friendly. We loved both theaters that we were in. Definitely recommend!

Visited for a 10:15pm Star Wars movie on a Monday night and we were the only ones in the theater. The button did not illuminate properly so there was a delay in the server getting to us and we ended up going to the bar for drinks. The bar closes at 11:20pm which was kind of a bummer but we made it work. The Chicken sandwich was delicious and the cheese pizza was a bit salty. The theater was clean and there was a very inviting atmosphere. Would definitely visit again.

Still the same great Movie Tavern. Then new owners have kinda made it loose its cozy feel. And the rewards program stinks. But the food is a bit better. Still my favorite place to watch movies.

My wife and I always have a great date night at Movie Tavern, but We had a wonderful experience today as we came to see Star Wars, The Last Jedi. My wife does not drink Pepsi products and the manager was kind enough to allow her to bring in a Diet Coke. She certainly went above and beyond the normal excellent service we always experience. We will continue to come to Movie Tavern over any other movie theatres because of the excellent service and the great dates we always have here!Thank you, for yet another delightful date night!

Me and two other ladies went to the movies and had lunch all in one place. The seats were comfy and recline with heaters. The food was really good I was shocked. And they had free water. And that’s all I drink so that was good. Service wasn’t superior but I think they only had one Waitress. And here lately no one’s service has been all that great. I would highly recommend this place to go and see your movie. Chicken nachos! And of course the burger

I truly miss this movie theater since moving to another state. This was one of my favorites. You can order from a plethora of menu items straight from the comfortability of your own seat (at the push of a button). Their Blue Thing Margarita is truly one of a kind. I typically order the burger and fries which has always been fresh and hot. I cant wait to visit this place when coming back to Texas.

I dropped my wallet while watching a movie and had a large amount of cash inside. One of the amazing servers found it and turned it in. A Manager took the time to look me up on social media and message me. She kept my wallet safe until I returned. Not 1$ was missing from my wallet. That is the definition of integrity, what an amazing team of people. I am so thankful to the staff.

Overpriced. Before they remodeled and moved around the corner from their previous location in the same building their prices were much more reasonable about half of what they are now. when they going to sell you overprice food they should be giving you a discount on your seat.

Good movies with good deals on Tuesdays. The only issue I have run into time and time again is the service. The waiters and waitresses are friendly, but do not come around too often and are hard to flag down even with your button pushed. Other than getting your meal ordered before the movie, this theater is a good spot for a casual date night.

Really enjoy the spacious seats. And you can choose your own if book ahead . Plus food and drink if you wish. Service very helpful for food too.

Despite the theatre food being expensive, it always taste rather good. So far Ive had a nice, comfortable experience here! Employees are helpful and bathrooms arent too bad. All in all, one of my favorite theatres to frequent.

Theatre and seats are nice but I guess under new owners. Food have severely gone downhill. Use to get the chicken nachos and they were so good. Ordered them last time I came and the chicken was all shedded and looked like canned cat food.. not the fajita chicken they use to have. On top of that there was literally no cheese on the nachos. I only asked for chicken, cheese and beans and it was pretty much all chips with a little bit of cheese maybe 2 tablespoons and chicken that looked and smelled like cat food and over $15. I asked for more cheese and she said there would be a separate charge of like $6 because they weigh it. I said how are you suppose to pay so much for nachos and no cheese. Asked the waitress why their nachos weren’t what they use to be and she just said no and walked off.. waste of money! Tickets are overpriced as it is. Don’t bother with their new food the way it is prepared. Go eat someone else before you come here.

First time here, brought my kids to see Jumanji. The staff explained patiently how to order from the menu and even offered to refill my kids drinks. The theater has a very nice comfy feel and its very clean. The space between rows is huge and the seats are so comfortable you could fall asleep, I didnt though lol. The staff are all very polite and helpful. We will definitely be coming back!

I dont go to any other theaters well that is if Im paying for it I know a lot of the staff they are great people they really upped their game when it comes to menu items for food and beverages. The adult beverage is all those slightly priced above moderate still get the job done.

I love this movie theater. Service is good, food is great and every Tuesday is $5 admission and free popcorn. My granddaughter and I go about twice each week. We love it!!!!!

This place is a joke. I used to go all the time before it was remodeled and i always went for the cheese fries. Now the place is nice but the movie tickets cost more than other theaters, but also the food prices went up and the quality went down. Its not even worth it. Never going there again.

They dont come to your seat and take your order anymore because they cant afford to hire servers. Def disappointed.

My wife’s purse was too big. New purse/bag policy just started 10/1. She had to go back out to the car near sprint just as the movie was about to start. Drinks went from 2-2.50 to 5 bucks with a $7 small pop corn and $1.00 for butter. Under new management I guess. Won’t be back to help them with their new business.

My wife and I love this place. Im giving it a 3 star just because there was nothing extraordinary. They have all the standards of a Movie Tavern establishment. The service was good and the facilities were clean. Our seats were perfect and quite comfortable. Ill be back here for sure.

Theater was nice. Ordered the cheese fries and they were not very good. I could taste the freezer burn.

After getting my ticket and going in the theater, a waitress walked in annoyed. She tells all of us ordering food that it is going to take forever for us to get our order and food. She proceeds to tell us she is the only one taking orders and serving food in 10 theaters!!! I nicely got my things and got a refund. What a poorly run theater. The waitress just expressed her frustration from a mismanaged operation. But I wasnt going to let some serve me my food at the end of the movie, nor let a person pretty angry and agitated serve me my food.

Everything was awesome! Except the Teriyaki Steak.It was kind of nasty, I think it was the Teriyaki sauce.

Worst experience at a movie theater! If I could give it no stars i would.First of all they have a purse rule that was established 5 days ago and just posted. They expect people not to bring a purse larger than 12x12 and if you do they expect you to leave it in your car (to potentially get stolen). When we asked if there was a way to check it behind the counter for safety we were told no and ultimately harrassed by their security guard.Next the office box lady has zero personality or customer service. I paid for 4 tickets but we had someone not show up and when we asked for a refund we were told no.Then when we ordered food they nickle and dime your bill, charging a $1 for butter for popcorn. When I spoke to the server about the charge, the manager walked up with no introduction and no apology just a simple thats the way it is.I will not be coming back and would tell people choose a different theater to spend their money.

Havent been here since the rebuild and it was great!! Took the kids to breakfast and a flick, coffee was soso but the food was really good, love the new seats and clean theater...

We were in the 7pm Friendsgiving movie tonight and ordered food right around 645. By 751, no food and the waitress never came to check on us to even know we didnt have food. I went ahead and rang the call button and the waitress came by and wasnt sure if she rang in our food. She left and came back and said something was wrong with the system, but the food would arrive soon and she would take two entrees off. Food was finally dropped around 815. The pizza my mother ordered was supposed to be vegetarian, but it had sausage and pepperoni on it. The movie was about to end, so we could not send it back. The waitress then said we could order dessert on the house or come back and order dessert another time. Yet she never came back to take our dessert order OR give us any dessert coupons or whatever she was talking about. Disappointing experience to say the least.

This is usually my go-to move theater as they have super comfy seats, and great attentive servers. Their theaters vary widely in size, so it’s nice to get the intimate feel in the smaller theaters, and also the large exciting feel in the larger ones.

Did not go in for the movie cause the movie that I wanted to see had already started and the next one was 4 hours later. However, the staff was great. Bathrooms were the best !!!

Good movie theater. Lounge seat with automatic controls. Very comfortable. They serve food while you are watching the movie. The trays are pretty small so it is hard to have a lot of food at once. The food is reasonably priced. The seats are reserved so buy your tickets early.

Please be aware of the hidden charges.i went there for the college night special, typically $6. ended up paying $9 because they put popular movies in theater rooms and slap on additional up charge.and the cashier didnt even explain that there would be additional charges

Me and the family love to come to this theater for our normal movie going experience. The theaters are clean and the quality of movie picture and sound have never had any issues. Typically though, even on big releases I find the screens seem to be smaller than the typical theater. Outside from that, the food is usually pretty good and overall the experience is better than their competitors. However, in recent months the prices seem to be going up and it is getting very high like a normal theater. It is $5 for a soda now!

One my favorite theaters in this category; it is probably on of the newer Movie Taverns in the metroplex. Good food, fully reclining seats; kids love their matinees (and my wife their free popcorn days, she’s an educator!)

What day & time will Queen & Slim be playing? The movie was released Wednesday November 27th . I’m just curious as to why the movie is not playing today on the 28th? It is a huge inconvenience for me to have to drive to another location when this is my home theatre .. I am checking the website now to buy my ticket yet it’s not available. I would like to be emailed personally when the movie is released so that I can buy my ticket at the earliest convenience. Also, am I able to use my dollar coupon for this movie whenever it will be playing at your location?

I go here on the rare occasion I actually go to a movie. This time no movie, just nachos & margarita. I understand when patrons attending several movies are also ordering the kitchen can get overwhelmed; however, there is no way it should take almost 10 min for someone to show up behind the bar to take an order. I was told by another customer the lady had gone to get someone elses popcorn order. Another barista shows up behind the counter, obviously in training since he was consulting a recipe for drinks. And he was serving someone that came in after me. After finally having my order taken & getting my nachos I had probably been there 25-30 min. I was in no real rush (good thing) & this is the only place I know of where I can get nachos something like what Bennigans or TJ Gators used to serve. Im pretty understanding but when there are fewer than 10 people in the bar & it takes 15 min to even be acknowledged & have a relatively easy order taken that, in my opinion, is not good. At least the margarita & nachos were good when finally received.

Dirty and damaged seats and tables, aswell as the unskilled servers bring incorrect food that was ordered....... service is horrible at best.Although the actual viewing experience is good, just not the rest on this visit.

I purchased 5 tickets on line threw there website and when ever I received the confirmation it gave me a different movie I didnt even wanted to see so I called right away and a lady over the phone very rudely said I needed to go all the way down to the movie theater to change the movie that they cancelled the show for but did take my money and ones I drove down there the lady that took care of me was just plain rude and said what I wanted and that they where not going to refund all my money back for a mistake that they maid at that point I just said its okay I understand and gave her my card witch I maid my purshase from and she just gave me a receipt and said nothing else I just said is that it and she said yes with a very bad attitude at that moment I told my self never again will I be coming hear again , please consider having more friendly and politely staff specially if there are going to be the face of the movie theater ones you come in there the first person you interact with if you have any questions or need help!

The theater was really small and clean. The seats were really comfy and drinks were decently priced. Only issue I had was the food, It was terrible. I wish I had taken pictures, we ordered nachos and fries with cheese and bacon. The little bit of cheese that the food had, was rubbery. It was cold and tasted terrible that we didn’t finish it. We also had to ask for napkins, which I thought we should just receive with our food, without having to ask. Do they expect everyone to eat and not need a single napkin?

Service was good, buying tickets was easy, and so was finding our seats.The theater was also clean.The reason I gave it 3 stars is because the food was less than mediocre.I got the nachos and the “cheese sauce” was just nacho cheese you get a sports games, my sons pizza was thin, full of sauce, and the crust was limp and chewy (not in a good way, more like cardboard), my drink also tasted super watered down.I’ll still come for the movies but not the food. Way over priced for the quality you get.

Nice theater. The theaters is clean and a good size. The food is pretty good too. I love this theater and some of the screens have a small amount to seating but its very personal without losing the big screen and great sound. I highly recommend this place

Omg those leather recliners are wonderful...customer service is always good food is good nothing special ticket prices are a bit too high however its good for an outing that you will truly enjoy ....oh and they serve alcohol as long as you meet age requirements. Be prepared to drop some cash if you do the whole gambit of movie dinner and drinks.

This is our Friday night date night so to. Their new menu is pretty good. But their staff is lacking a little lately. Slow to respond to lights.Had one night where we ordered our food and drinks before the movie started and didnt get our drinks till about 20 minutes in to the movie and our food about half way through the movie. We then asked for refills which took another 20 minutes.No apologies no discount just a smiley face on our bill with the tip section circle. Um Im sorry do you think you deserve a 20 or 25% tip after that service.

We came here late morning on a Thursday and our theater was practically empty, which was nice. The seats were comfortable enough for my 600, 350 lb frame. I got the Vietnamese bowl with steak. The meal was a good portion, was well prepared and the steak was cooked properly. For just my meal and a glass of iced tea the total came to $26. Thats a little high for one person in my estimation but I got to eat while enjoying a movie, so I cant complain too loudly.

So, this place is nice... It looks new: nice seats, full bar, clean. However, if you dont go on a Tuesday, they charge you an arm and a leg for tickets, food, and drinks. Also, the drinks are way over-priced and weak. Dropped a good 90$ on two people. Left unsatisfied.

My family and I have been coming here for the longest time, its always been our favorite movie theater. Its really, really disappointing to see the menu change so drastically... The lemon pepper wings used to be my favorite, and theyre gone. My favorite appetizer, the spinach and artichoke dip, now tastes more like a cream cheese spread... Its not bad in taste, but not at all as nice as the old, cheesy, stretchy dip. So sad to see it change :(

Very nice and clean, intimate theaters, great prices, food is excellent and all around good experience. The bar seems to be well stocked with lots of vanity drink choices. Only issue is parking. With so many other restaurants and retail stores in the same shopping center, parking places are difficult to find during peak times. We really enjoy the experience.

Ask for popcorn extra butter. I got an up charge for the butter but there was only butter on the top. The middle to bottom was dry and hard kennels
