Bought one of my first rifles there. Was way over priced after I looked into it but I thought maybe the service would be worth it. Mike is very knowledgeable but I would probably never return for two reasons. 1) Prices are high2) The Wife. After my last interaction with her, given it was years ago, I’d never return. Seems snobby and rude to me. Went in and asked to pawn a firearm and she said they were not pawning. Kind of defeats the name on the sign. Save some time and money and get great customer service at shooters roost. Only place I’ll shop for the rest of my life. Less than a mile away.

I never really had the money to buy a top of line bow from anywhere until this year. that being said last year i price shopped for a bow and wound up at park buying a bow it was a Hoyt mid range bow 1. they sold me arrows out of spine 2. i bought a womens bow for my wife also got sold arrows out of spine. 3. they never even pulled the weight to make sure it was in poundage which i didnt even know till i took it to mike. 4. i had to drive all the way back out there to have them fix it they wouldnt buy the arrows back that were wrong. Now this is not a bash to park they are what they are, but my experience with buying a bow from mike has been the complete opposite, he make sure every detail is how you want it and gives suggestions. also travel time also comes into play when it comes to servicing a bow if it needs it. I have been to all the bow shops in the area and mike is the only one that knows what he is talking about. plain and simple.

I bought my first Mathews bow from them back in 2005. I have been back many times for arrows, accessories, and maintenance and they have ALWAYS treated me well and been very informative and helpful in making decisions on accessorizing my bow. I recently bought a used Mathews for my daughter from somewhere else and took it to them to have it re-strung and tuned up. I didnt buy it from them, but they are working on it right now - No Hassles, or grief what-so-ever. If you want your bow, set up and tuned up right, by a professional that knows what he is doing, go see Mike at Cardinal!

On my initial visit they were nice thats why they get the one star, but as I got further into looking at the price of the bow I wanted and started calling around I seen it was a little high priced. when I called to see if the would match park center sporting goods in Rainelle on price the lady told me no they stick to their price because customer service is better there. well the first thing to good customer service is giving the best deal you can in my opinion and when someone is buying a bow and all the accessories which is right at $900 ya think they would budge a little. but they didnt but upon arriving at park center I seen the difference in the two shops. Rainelle has about a quarter of the population as Beckley yet park center had a packed parking lot and every time i went to Cardinal it was dead. so that was my second red flag. I went in and as soon as I walked in someone asked if I needed help and I told them what all I wanted and they were quick to help and even played with my little boy as I got the right adjustments on the bow. not only was my customer service great they also saved me $175 in total and gave me all kinds of stuff for making the trip down there. so my conclusion was yeah its a 45 min drive to Rainelle but the service was great the prices are great and their products are great and I felt as if my business was wanted. I really wanted to buy local but cardinal missed this sale do to bad salesmanship, and unwillingness to price match. I work in sales I know that as a dealer everyone gets them at the same cost so in the end they just chose not to sale it at the same price when in reality they could have matched it and made a sale.
