Great museum - lots of nostalgia moments!

I visited the Tek museum a few months back, and had a great time being shown around by the folks who volunteer there: Its amazing to talk to people who worked first-hand in laying the foundations of modern computing and test equipment. Its certainly worthwhile to visit and take a tour of all the cool stuff Tek made, and talk to the volunteers there about their experiences in engineering.Since this visit, Ive started acquiring my own older Tek scopes, including a 547, and, most recently, a 7934. This in addition to my MSO2024 modern workhorse that I use daily. Theres something very satisfying about using the 547 in 2018, and it does just as fine a job now as it did when new.

Very interesting. Im not an electrical engineer but still have some knowledge of electronics and that helped making it an enjoyable visit. Excellent tour by dosent Bob. Very happy I went.

Hey, I play here. I invite you to also play here. We or you can show kids technology of the past and present and get some great smiles and understanding in technologys. We have had kids come in and have fun learning by the truck load, OK, bus load. STEM is an important part of our goals. I think we can also teach some old farts, like some of us, some of the great technologys Tektronix developed over the years. Much of that extended out and made the Silicon Forest in the Portland area what it is today.

For those interested in technology, history, or just cool gadgets, this is an interesting place to visit for an hour or two. Hours are limited to Thursday and Saturday, but you can make an appointment for a private tour. All things related to Tektronix.
