Its a Japanese arcade which offers a different experience that is not for everyone. Its a great place to spend some time and some money. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful, the games are quite enjoyable. The reason I didnt give it a 4 or 5 star rating is in my opinion how pricey the arcade is, but other than that not a bad place to go to.

This is a new facility in the mall and it is quite popular on the weekends and evenings. It provides a wide variety of entertainment options including bowling, pool, air hockey, basketball toss, and video games. I enjoy watching the people using the video dancing machine...the good dancers are fun to watch and the poor dancers are just plain funny. The atmosphere is similar to a fair midway...lots of bright lights and fun noises. It is worth a visit if only to watch others having a good time.

My daughter and I spent $50 in 11mins.It was cheaper to walk around the mall if you can believe that. With that being said I got the chance to play some really cool games you cant play anywhere else. The claw machines are expensive to play but are awesome. I love the idea but we(myself and daughter) ended up at $150 for a couple hours a Sunday evening. Just seems pricey to me. Gift shop was fun, had nice stuff.

Offers some original experiences to other arcades, a lot of imported games and claw machines that are more fair and less gamble-y is nice. Won a fair few prized from these machines withing the first few tries and the merchandise doesnt seem to be of cheap quality either. This location only has the arcade, bowling and billiards so its not as big as others but it has all the things that round 1 is known for. The staff is helpful a majority of the time but it seems like if a game is broken or probably needs a quick reboot to be fixed you can count on it not happening.

It would have been better had a manager not personally harass me and only me for being dressed the way I was and her reason was for my mask falling below my nose as she walked by a few times cause my mask is slightly stretched out. And didnt say anything to anyone else about it only me. Then proceeded to stalk me and my friends through the arcade waiting to go off on me again. Ive been there 10+ times and this has never happened before. Beware of discrimination by a heavy set manager with short brown hair. Honestly not sure if I want to go back again for fear of discrimination.

Round one is an entertainment center with a large arcade, bowling alley, and pool table area. They also have multiple party rooms for events or parties. There is a bar area and a food station that runs all day but is particularly useful for the late hours of operation when the mall closes. The arcade is quite extensive and will cater to most casual arcade goers. The music game area machines that were in decent working order for the most part. Some of the Mai Mai machines had issues (one button not functioning or minor screen issues) but there are 8 of them. The most heavily used games DDR, Pump it Up, and Sound Voltex had no issues.

Great place to hang out. We went on a Tuesday evening so it wasnt very busy which in my opinion was a perk. At some point during playing games and grabbing a snack we lost our card with 3000 points and $30 plus in game play. We went to management to see if someone had returned our card by chance. Of course no one did. So management began working on returning our lost card. Thankfully we kept our receipts and this made it that much easier for management. In the meantime a few teens walked up to cash in their points.....it turns out they had taken our card. Management confiscated the card and gave us back all of our lost points and play credits. The manager was so kind. I absolutely recommend this arcade. It was very clean and nice had very nice arcade games!!

The game selection is great! The management and store staff have been courteous when we encountered issues. Was better when it first opened though. Its an absolute mess on the weekends. UFO games are never restocked or positioned correctly. Employees cant even manage to mimic the pictures they put up in the corner. Never actually see employees around there machines either, so getting help when you win one of the ball or flip cranes or when something needs fixed is next to impossible. Some of the arrow buttons are shorted out too and theres no one to tell when you lose 9 credits because the button didnt register your push.Card machines never have receipt paper and theyve failed to reload for us twice out of three visits. Entrance at night ALWAYS smells like weed. Hire some people if youre understaffed. Get some hand sanitizer stations. Pay attention to the UFO claw machines.

Apparently this place has the ability to convince Google to delete reviews...because I left one on the day that they opened and its gone. These prices are crazy, $2 for one 30 second game. Take to kids the the prize counter thinking we had thousands of tickets (because the games said we had thousands of tickets) and found out we had around 200? Not sure what the point to ticket ratio is, but something is off. Cant speak to the food. Three stars simply because the games are very nice and staff was kind.

Kiosks to reload cards are ALWAYS broken every time my family goes. Claw machines are rigged and over priced. Way over crowded. Games are broken and still accepting money to play. No trash cans in gaming area. Beer and liquor prices are absurd, not even in a nite club would a single shot cost $7. Does have good arcade and gaming selection. Friendly staff when you do see them around. Honestly buying time until scene 75 opens back up. $100 goes a long way there whereas this place will eat that up in no time.

Good place to drink beer and raise your scores. Staff and management is nice. To get the best value, purchase as many credits as you can at once since the more you buy the more bonus credits you get, making the price per credit lower. Try not to buy just $5 or $10 in credits , if you can go for at least the $30. If youre having trouble with the UFO/crane machines chances are the plush is too jammed in to move easily, and at that point you can ask a staff member and they will be more than happy to readjust the position which makes it way easier to win! Also the pizza is so fxcking good

Review №33

For everyone who has misunderstood what this place is, let me be the first to inform you: this is an arcade. It is NOT and Dave & Busters or Scene 75. Its not a restaurant. Its not really a bar. It has some food options, it has some drink options, but these things are not the focus of R1 as a company. The xenophobic, transphobic, and RUDE comments in some of the reviews of this establishment are appalling, and frankly, I am ashamed to see them. Its like these people would rather not have this place be here at all. Round 1 has set the bar very high for premium arcade standards, and a lot of people are experiencing sticker shock, so I understand the surprise at the pricing. Unfortunately, thats just how it is. Many, many, many, arcades over the years have tried and failed because the truth is, its a very expensive business venture. These machines are expensive, challenging to maintain, and come at a cost. Round 1 is one of the few companies that employs technicians that walk around to greet guests and are available to fix problems that arise with these complex machines, and are some of the most friendly and helpful people who will jump to the occasion to address any issues with an arcade cabinet you may need help with. The average consumer will love this venue for a date night, to kill some time, etc. Theres karaoke in the party rooms, the pool tables are fresh and clean, the bowling alley is high quality and is official Brunswick (with a bowling ball in basically every single weight, how often do you see that at your average bowling alley?), and the prices are actually about the same as D&B and Scene 75. The charge for the card you load credits on is about the same at all of these venues, and I recommend getting their Club card to maximize your purchase! For those of you looking for the latest, greatest, and well maintained arcade games, (were talking stuff that is either cutting edge or right up against it straight from Japan), Round 1 is THE place to go.

Awesome place to spend an hour when your looking to have a little fun. No matter your age, this place is entertaining and honestly a total blast. They have tons of Japanese crane machines that are easy to understand once you get the hang of it. They arent rigged like American ones, you really can win if you have the talent. We spent $50 and won two plushies (retailed at $20 each online) and a bunch of tickets (about 1000)

Although the games were good they were a bit pricey. You would think though that for a an entertainment place that is attached to a mall that they would have designed the bar and food area a little better. Nowhere near enough seating for sitting down and eating. We stood in line for a little over 30 minutes to get food and they were out of pizza but they didnt warn anybody so had that been the only thing that I wanted I would have wasted my time however I just got something else. Even the bar line was super slow. After an hour of waiting for food we went up to the counter and asked the lady serving food if our order was ready and she said that we didnt make an order we gave her the receipt and she proceeded to yell our order to the other workers to make it. I told her to cancel the order and I would like a refund and she proceeded to catch an attitude. Now I hadnt been rude about the situation I completely understand that they are new and need time to learn how to run efficiently. The manager was nice and professional and refunded my money. I really hope they redesign thisplace because it would be cool to have a good place to go on this side of town for this type of entertainment.

I really like arcades and claw machines but this place is a pretty big rip off. Stepped in for a couple minutes and bought the $5 option for 20 credits. Total came to $7.15 ? I’m assuming a “card fee”. That’s fine and all, but all the claw machines/ most of the games are 9 credits for one play. So I paid $7 for two tries at a game and then I’m stuck with 1 credit left on my card. There are no games in the arcade under 4 credits per play so now I have to spend more money to use the credit I already paid for in the first place. Not worth the money.

I tried for 4 weeks to book my sons party. Each time I was told to come in the following week. Finally I spoke to Alex, who said he was the manager. Alex went over the childs party package with me, he told me about the different areas and all the details. But they didnt have the proper paperwork to be able to officially book the party until the 20th. I explained that that made me nervous because I had to order the invitations and the party would be for Feb 1. Alex assured me all would be fine....... Well I went in today and spoke to a horrible man named Michael whom is the general manager. He said that not only did I have to pay $280for the 10 kids but I had to pay an additional $30 per parent that brings their child to my sons party. I was shocked! He said mainly because of the food., I said fine Ill have the party without the food in effort to avoid the extra cost for the parents. He refused yelling that there will be no exceptions. This man is the rudest person I have ever spoke with. The games CANNOT be converted to english, if youre interested in learning the japanese games, please google them and read up on them. each machines name is on the game IN ENGLISH. the games are imported straight from japan and if you really enjoy them and their music, you either know how to play or can figure it out. if youre just looking for a music game for a young kid, try piano keys. its really close to the music games and is really easy to play. DDR, PumpItUp, and DancerushStardom are also ALL in english. games like maimai, wacca, project diva, etc have no “english mode”. they will never be pulled from the floor because each game has a large following. this arcade is a company based in japan. it has games and toys you cant find anywhere else and i reccomend it to anyone who enjoys japanese culture, anime, vocaloid, rilakkuma, etc but otherwise it just might not be for you.genuinely though, google the games if you wanna learn or ask someone whos playing them that looks pretty good or even some of the workers know about the games. dont just complain on google reviews about them being in japanese, its how its supposed to be. you dont go to asian restaurants and complain about the menu saying boba instead of bubble or something, you google it. please do so or ask someone for the games to and give them the same respect.-sincerely, a dedicated rhythm gamer who doesnt want to see this place crumble because some people cant google something or ask a worker about something as simple as why a games in japanese instead of english

Very high prices, many games were broken or would not work properly. Employees on the floor are not able to give refunds for games that take your points, but dont work. So each time a game does not work you have to walk back to the very far corner of the building and wait in line just to get your card points reimbursed for the defective game. Unlike other local arcades who are very apologetic and sometimes give you back a little more for the inconvenience, here they refund to the exact point what was taken. We went through this fun process twice in a 30 min period. Games give very little tickets compared to other local arcades. In the end for $25 it cost to play we ended up with a very small bag of candy we could have bought for about $1 at the dollar tree. Save your $ and your time. Really not worth it and my son who is quite good at games and usually wins great prizes at other local arcades was very disappointed and told me he never wants to come back.
