Jesy is an amazing soul! I’ve never sewn anything in my life and she helped me become comfortable and confident on my Aunt’s sewing machine. During our one on one session, she was patient, kind, and caring. I learned all the basics of a sewing machine and practiced sewing some lines. She is an expert in her field and I plan on taking another class with her! Thank you Jesy, you are truly gifted in the art of sewing!
Went for a basic sewing machine class and it was a great class!! We had so much fun and learned so much!
We love Jesy!! My daughter has been taking sewing lessons with her for years. Jesy has become like family! If you want to take some fun sewing classes, this is the place.
Needle, Ink and Thread is my favorite sewing studio! I have taken classes there and also attended open studio time. Jesy is so easy to learn from and deeply cares about her students and making sure they have a great experience. She is also very community-minded and goes out of her way to connect with other businesses and customers in the area. Spend your sewing dollars here, you wont regret it!
Although I have not gotten any work done by Jesy- I had to leave a review! I called looking for emergency alterations, but she had zero availability. She was so sweet and professional. She provided me with referrals for other places of business; and even went so far as to tell me to give her a call back if I cant find anyone- as she would do some research of her own. I feel as if a persons character is just as important and the work they perform.
I love this shop and Jesy is great! She has helped me overcome a vary of sewing roadblocks. She is patient and so informed, a fabulous teacher!
Jesy is an amazing seamstress and an even better teacher. She is kind and generous. I love this place.
Jesy is talented and spectacular and well versed in her craft. I would highly recommend
Jessie was absolutely wonderful and made sure our dresses were perfect for us.
Jesy has helped me sew costumes for performances several times and it always comes out just right. I cant say enough about how great this place is.
I come here for alterations on a lot of my clothing. Jesy does a wonderful job at a very affordable price. I highly recommend Needle, Ink and Thread.
Ive been taking private sewing lessons by Jesy for a few weeks and its been truly amazing! Jesy is so warm and kind and doesnt rush me when Im learning something new. As a twenty-something adult I was kind of embarrassed to be taking classes, but Jesy makes me feel so comfortable. She is a wealth of knowledge and I am so proud to call her my teacher! Ive learned how to alter my own clothes, read patterns, Ive learned more about my sewing machine than I would ever want to know, and I am currently in the process of making my own dress from scratch! I can also attest to the fact that Jesy cares deeply about every alteration that goes out of her shop. She cares about people and Dayton so much, Im glad to give her my business.
Needle, Ink and Thread is a great place to take sewing and needlework classes. Jesse is well prepared with materials and skills. She is an excellent seamstress. She is great with kids projects/parties and adult classes. Wonderful place to just spend time! Beavercreek is very fortunate to have such a treasure.
Jesy is such a pro - incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and engaging. I would recommend her to everyone (and intend to do just that) for private lessons. She is teaching me how to use my moms vintage sewing machine and Im beyond grateful. Cant wait to work with her again!
Easy to book online tailor appointment, showed up early and I was welcomed in, Jesy was able to make the modifications to my dress at the appointment, and I walked home with my dress. Will definitely bring items back here for tailoring!
I have taken several classes at Needle, Ink and Thread and have utilized their open studio. Jesy is always encouraging and so helpful! She is an excellent teacher - I always leave feeling energized and with new skills Im to put to use making my next garment!
Jesey has altered a couple dance dresses for my girls. Each time she has offered advice on them and given a reasonable quote. She has completed each job in a timely manner and promptly notified me when done. She has honored her quote and done great work. She always greets with a smile and is grateful for the business. Beavercreek is lucky to have Jesey and her business offering alterations and many types of classes .
I took an embroidery class from Jesy. She was very thorough in explaining directions and walked you through every step. She is very creative and a pleasure to be around. Enjoyed it would take another class!
I have taken a class and have also had private instruction from Jesy. I have already signed up for another class this coming week because I found my previous instruction from her so valuable. She is knowledgeable, friendly, and most importantly, PATIENT. I highly recommend her.
I have taken two classes with Jesy at Needle, Ink and Thread and I highly recommend her to anyone interested in sewing/needle art. I took her adulting 101 class and hand embroidery class and I left both classes confident in my newly honed skills. Jesy is a great teacher and a real asset to our Beavercreek community. Do yourself a favor and contact her for classes AND alterations- shes fantastic!
Jesy is an amazing seamstress and an even better teacher! Before I started taking lessons, I could barely sew a button. In less than a year of taking lessons from Jesy, I have made 2 beautiful shirts, 3 pairs of pj pants, a mixer cover, and 2 jackets! I’ve have also learned how to do embroidery on my sewing machine! She is incredibly patient and inspires confidence in her students! Whether you are looking to enroll your son or daughter or you have always wanted to sew but never got around to learning (like me), I highly recommend giving her a call!
A great place to learn how to sew for kids or adults, or have your clothes altered by a true expert.
Extremely impressed and sincerely greatful! When my father passed away in 2013 I promissed myself to return his ashes to Scotland. This past June I was finally able to fulfil the pledge. I organized a traditional Scottish memorial service on the shores of Loch Lomand and planned to wear a complete Kilt wordrobe. I had a custom kilt made in for me Ayrshire Scotland. It was beautiful, expensive and almost perfect. The kilt shop would normally take all the measurements then do a fitting and tailor it to fit, but that was impossible to do since I was in the states. There was not enough time in my travel plans to have it done either. Everything fit well except that it was a bit long. After i returned to the states I brought it to Needle, Ink & Thread to see about tailoring it to fit properly. Not only is Jesy passionate about the work she does, She expressed genuine confidence in her skills that made it easy for me to entrust her with this garment that means tge world to me. Jesy took the time to listen and understand exactly what i needed done. She was very thourough explaining to me what all she would do, the proper way to do it and what all she would do it.The process took longer than she originally expected, which was fine with me because I wanted it done well, not fast. She was also very good at communicating with me, keeping me informed and most of all making sure i wasnt worrying. To unstitch 9 yards of fabric, with 30 pleats, by hand, without screwing it up... that has to take some time. When I picked it up today I was absolutely thrilled. I dont know much about sewing, but I have a very critical eye and this work she did was PERFECT. I inspected the seems she sewed very closely, they are flawless.Thank you so very much Jesy for doing such an awesome job and perserving my kilt, It means the world to me.
