I like this Michaels. It has a wide variety of brands, tools, items, to suit every hobby enthusiast. Its a large store, (not huge), so you can walk around and see things you might not have thought about getting, when you went in. Staff doesnt bother you, but they can also be hard to find, if you have a question. The check out lines can get pretty long. Maybe hiring, or putting more staff on schedule, would help alleviate things. All in all a decent store.

It has decent stock for any artist or crafter. The prices are good. And you can find stuff you like on clearance sale. The small blank canvases are very affordable, but the larger ones (2, 3 ft.) are too price-y. Sometimes a lone checkout person could use help with the socially distanced line.

The best place in bayonne for craft

I just want to thank the picture framing department for helping me find a boarder, frame color, frame my military pictures with 2 Navy emblems for my moms birthday present. It came out awesome that I came back and got my Navy wood coasters put in a shadow box. Thanks for the great, outstanding advice, knowledge, and awesome job by this department that I decided to frame the rest of my military pictures and my Navy uniform.

It has everything you need to make/create whatever artwork/project you have in mind.

Ghetto workers who do not tend to customer needs. I saw Malika turn a senior away from framing because she did not want to work. Poor senior said Ill come Back another day you guys seem busy talking to her crusty co worker who smells like curry.

I was helped by a very stressed out employee who still took the time to help me with a smile. Michaels should be treating their employees like gold because they all work very hard there.

Michaels is my go-to arts and crafts store. They have just about anything you can think of if you want to start a crafting project or create some artwork. The prices can be high for some of the products here, but they always have some sort of 40% coupon online that you can use in the store.

The store clerks were very helpful.

This is really the only big box craft spot around. It had a large selection, but lacks on the material side and fake plants. I never seem to find what I need here for some reason and its very expensive. Friendly staff though... And remarkable tidy.

As far as craft stores go its ok. I look for model kits and they are very poor in their selection and are overpriced in that area. Other areas they are decent but again prices could be more competitive. Staff is so-so. Some are good others couldnt be bothered. Its best if you know what you are looking for if you go to save time and not have to rely on employees for help. Would try Hobby Lobby before going here.

What can I say? I love this store. Its generally well-stocked and neat. The staff is helpful. It can get busy at times when checking out, but they usually try to open more registers and employees seem well trained.

Friendly staff, clean and organized store09/19/2020I have to change my rating from 4 stars to 2 stars because of an employee by the name of Linda in your framing department. I went into your store looking for a frame when I noticed you have custom framing on sale. So I decided to get a quote. Linda was the employee who helped me. If that is what you call helping me. I felt she was condescending when speaking to me about how I wished my item to be framed, but I decided to go ahead and get the framing started. I also got a second quote for another item that I wanted to bring back later in the week before the sale ended.The next day I decided to take the second item to get framed as well when I walked into the department I seen that Linda was working and I was disappointed to see her. I was hoping that another employee would be there to help me, but as she walked by me I said hello and she said hello and continue to walk on by. She walked to the employee area so I asked another employee if they could help me, and they told me they would get the person who works in this department. The employee came back and said the person is on lunch and I would have to wait until she is finished. This was 10:45am in the morning so I decided to give up on the second frame and just wait for my first item to be completed.I got a call this morning that my frame was ready for pickup. So I came in to get my frame. The first thing I noticed there was a outward bow on both sides of the frame. Linda insisted that it was an illusion and that it must me the way my eyes are picking it up because it wasnt on a wall. So I asked if she had a tape measure. She went to get one, and refused to let me measure the frame myself, but she said there was an 1/16 of an inch off from the middle to the top and bottom of the frame. I believe it was more than a 1/16 of a inch for me to pick it up when I first seen it.So I stated I wanted it to be completed correctly. She insisted that if I didnt take it that I would have to wait 2 weeks to get it back. I didnt care I wanted it done correctly but I was annoyed that she was trying to push this shoddy work on me. So I refused to take it and spoke with a manager about Lindas attitude towards me, and my disappointment with the frame I had completed.I have no idea what I did to Linda, but it is clear on three occasions she made me feel unwelcomed as though she was too good to service me as a customer of Michaels. I will continue to shop there but as long as she is in the framing department I will refused to every have another frame done at this location again.I am sorry for writing this but I felt after see the work done on my frame and Linda insisting that I take it. That I had to write about my experience.

Went there to buy a 10 x 10 frame for a painting that I have do not carry that size. Have to get a custom made frame for it. When I asked the person there about it they didnt have an answer. You sell 10 x 10 canvas but dont carry 10 x 10 frames. Doesnt make sense to me.

Great place to get crafts. We bought everything we needed to create all our christmas decorations here. Picture below shows the bows we made that we put on the tree. We also made our own ugly sweeter from what we purchased here.

Maryanne is the best employee that I have ever come across......any employee that can help me save money is a great employee in my book. I was able to shop my life away as a beaded bracelet maker and Maryanne directed me to coupons that I used to save even further. I was there on Memorial day(there was a sale on beads) . Im so disappointed in the manager raquel My daughter got Her Phone stolen and we spoke to her about it She had an attitude we call the cops because thats what she told us to do in order for the video to be reviewed when the cops get there they ask her what is her name and she show her name tag and then he asked for her last name and she says I dont give that out then she made us look like a liar stating that she did not say for us to call the cops to get the video reviewed .. You would think that a manager would look out for customers get treated correctly because you dont want a badd rep at the store I have been going to Michaels for so many years and its so sad that this happens and you get treated like youre a nobody.. Its not gonna make me stop going to the store but I just wanted to state what type of manager youre dealing with when you go there
