Okay so Beacon Woods Golf Club is in pretty good condition. Is it perfect...no but nor any of the clubs in the area in perfect condition unless youre spending a tremendous amount of money. Beacon Woods in the afternoon is a dollar a hole so $18 for 18 holes! You really cant go wrong there. The layout on this course is really unique, theres a lot of holes that are really well-designed and driving accuracy is at a premium as well as getting the right distance to the pin. Theres a lot of uphill shots so you have to add yardage having a rangefinder will definitely come in handy here. The course is in great condition greens are pretty good theres a few rough spots here and there but overall very very good and they have decent speed on them, especially above the hole... be careful there. Tees, Fairways, Approaches all in good condition they havent over seeded as of last weekend but that should be happening very soon with this cold weather so you may want to call the club before you go just to make sure that they just didnt overseed. Itll take a couple weeks for that to grow in. Overall for $18 you really cant beat it! The course is busy but we didnt play slowly, everybody kept up at a good pace. We probably played 18 holes in a little over four hours thats pretty good for a foursome.The good weather is upon us get out there and have some fun definitely one of the better mid-level tracks in the area!

Placed here 2 days ago and was very impressed. I played after 3pm and only paid $20. The condition of the course truly exceeded my expectations. Love how the course is pretty wide open. Definitely will be playing here again

Closing for upgrades to course at end of month.. 4 months then for the second time in Beacon Woods history the course will reopen with a renewed & old team together to give all players & guests a terrific golf experience..!!Resident & past golf club member since 1973..

J r worthington here. These reviews must have been written in the nineties. The course is a disgrace an insult to game of golf. It’s a goat ranch. Upgrades ? Where. Course was shortened bu 1000 yards. Key trees were removed destroying character of the holes and new greens were installed that have been browns for two years. Don’t waste your money. A disgrace.

Friendly staff. The course has a good variety of holes. Greens are large. My hope is the course can focus its maintenance budget on the greens rather than paying to overseed in the winter. Its a tough environment for golf courses to survive in Florida. Great greens will bring in and keep the players coming back. The restaurant staff is very friendly and fun. The food is really good.

Great hidden gem of New Port Richey. Course is fairly easy and fun to play. Would highly recommend for players at any level.

Greens are already starting to die. Not sure last time bunkers were raked. Grounds crew never picks up broken branches, many clearly visible. Could be such a nice course if they werent so lazy.

The course has gone down hill hire someone who knows what he is doing over watered causeing matted down grass the greens show he doesnt know how to run course properly pumps done is an excuse he could of used spray vehicle to keep greens from dying hire someone who knows how to run course properly I was in the field for 25 years I would of been let go with the condition of course I hope you see the light and do something before it gets worse

We play there every Sunday and they really treat us well.

The clubhouse guy was as nice as can be,got me a ride to range,got me a discount range all card. Didnt play but plan to. Again great clubhouse guy

Nice pool to cool off in and to get some exercise. Radio station is easy listening. No food or drink allowed so not for anyone looking to have a good time. Strict rules. Really for the over 65 crowd or to take grandchildren as they first have a playground.

The course has been around since I was a kid, which is over 30 years. They do a nice job of keeping it in a good condition, with limited resources. I only say limited resources, because their pricing is so low compared to almost any course in this County. The course layout is very good compared to most of the higher end courses in our area. The people are friendly and the prices cant be beat.

Watch your things!! They will steal your stuff if you put it down.I dropped my lucky hat , went on to the next hole and discovered it had dropped off the cart. When I went back to the previous hole it was gone. (there was this older woman on a cart stalking us while we were there,. It was later in the day and they probably wanted to leave).. At this point I figured it was gone.. After finishing our game, I went to return my cart. There was no one around which I found strange, so I looked in the garage and found the cart guy kind of hiding in the back. ...Guess whos hat he was wearing???? I was speechless. I honestly didnt even know what to say. I certainly did not want it back after it was On His Head!! I just turned around and walked away shaking my head. My daughter seen the look on my face and turned to look at the man, and asked me if THAT GUY STOLE MY HAT.. On the ride home I called the manager to let him know what had happened. He had told me that he would Take Care Of It and to give him a couple days to talk to the Owner and would get back to me. To make this long post shorter, He Gave me the Runaround for a Month until I Just Gave Up.. When I called him I never expected anything, just thought he would like to know what was going on at his Club...Obviously this is Accepted Behavior at Beacon Woods.. Good thing it wasnt a $400 Driver.. Never Going Back!!!

This is a great course and players of all levels will find it challenging. Theres a good deal of water on the course, which will challenge your club selection and course management skills. You really want to keep it down the middle... stray shots are going to get you in trouble with the residents. The staff is very friendly. Beautiful, well managed course and facility. A true gem.

Beacon woods golf course is in magnificent condition. The course is PGA worthy. Mr. Mat Lowman (owner) and his superintendent really deserve a lot of laudatory comments on the total remake of tee boxes, fairway, cleanliness, and most importantly the greens. Thumbs up everywhere.

Greens fairways and tees are super. Staff has done a superb job. Course layout is championship from the tips, with tee boxes available for all levels of enjoyment. Time management is maintained via Starters and Rangers, to increase playing pleasure.

It was awesome years ago when it had decent greens and maintenance but the layout is still great and the attendants are very cordial, very affordable golf.

Course is in terrible shape. Hitting out of hard dirt is common. Have to wear a collared shirt for this crap? No way. I guess the people inside were nice. You get exactly what you pay for. Cheap golf.

Slow play is the understatement of the year Donald Trump may have Mexico paying for the wall before I finish this round. Sitting on the 6th tee a group on the green and 2 other groups in front of us. Called the pro shop and asked for a 9 hole rate and was told to bad its this way until May. They didnt offer anything and the pro argued that it will be a 4.5 hour round. What poor management
