A lot decent trails to walk or ride. Beach access, splash park, camping across street. Picnic facilities. Visit marsh towers, see beaver and cranes. Board walk on beach with telescopes for seeing boats and shipping. Fish in the lagoon and open marsh areas.

Such a beautiful place for a long and peaceful walk. The lagoon area is beautiful and full of deer. However, watch out for wolves in the northern, wooded area of the loop, they are there.

Beautiful area and trails for walking. Lots of events for kids in the summer time. The play set is huge and great for kids. The beach and water arent always clean and the beach is frequent closed due to going levels of ecoli.Sometimes there isnt a ranger at the front entrance to buy a pass from but theres a box past the ranger stand where you can pay yourself. Make sure you pay or youll get a ticket!

The big loop is 2.66 miles. If you park at the visitors center and take the Anderson trail to the big loop and back its 4.8 miles with part asphalt and dirt trails. Very private with occasional interludes with other walkers and bikers. I come here 5 days a week. You must have a recreational passport to enter.
