Beautiful facility! Can see why it is such an attraction in Saginaw. Location can feel a bit iffy being in the downtown Saginaw area. Not the thriving shopping district I remember as a child. However, there is a parking ramp across the street and is near the Dow Event Center. Ive attended by only a few events here, but the interior is absolutely stunning. A rare find in the MidMichigan area.

One word: Stunning! Immaculately restored to the glory days and ornate beauty of theatres of yesteryear, the State Theater is an absolute gem, located in the heart of Downtown Bay City. It is a must see on on your list of places to visit. The State Theater offers entertainment from seasonal movies, nationally recognized comedians and musical acts, renowned local artists, and local high school talent. They also offer a snack bar in the lobby with everything you would expect from a theater. The State Theater also offers gift certificates for anyone on your shopping list. Photos do not do justice to seeing this historical building in person. The State Theater is definitely a must see!

This was a nice cozy theatre. There was a linen-up outside until staff started directing patrons on where to go and split into two lines. There were staff available to help show patrons to seats. I enjoyed the show. The small audience size, I thought, allowed for better interactions and stage engagement. Overall a great place to see a show. I enjoyed myself and would go again.

Most cities can only dream of having an entertainment facility like we have in the State Theatre. Something for everyone year round. Reasonably priced, quality entertainment. Clean, well kept historical building. Streetside parking in a safe environment.

I love coming here. We are usually here only a couple of times a year for the Hells Half Mile film and music fest and its always a pleasure to be here. All the updates and restoration make the movie that much better. Go when you have the chance!!

I had a wonderful time with my sister tonight at a comedy improv show there staring Colin Mochrie. It was comfortable, the ambiance is nice, and the show was great. Good job State Theatre!

I had ordered tickets ahead of time for a concert and the will call ticket pick up was very quick and easy. The staff was great and from what I could tell, the whole place was quite nice and clean.

Great entertainment. Their comedy shows are great.

This theatre is excellent. There is often good entertainment available here for reasonable prices. I am happy this theatre is available to the community.

Seen two comedians here at different times, had a Great time. Seating could be a little more comfortable (is my only complaint) especially if your sitting for awhile.would recommend to check it out. The decor is a Cool Aztec Design

It decorated wonderfully. And the seats are pretty nice for being rather old. They have a concession stand that has a few things but not to much. The bathrooms are very old and could use a good deep cleaning. The staff is very nice. The Acoustics are awesome. And every Halloween they show The Rocky Horror Picture Show and you can bring in all the props so that makes it absolutely amazing.

Even though it is a small theater, we loved it! The seats were very comfortable and the ticket prices were very reasonably priced. Cant wait to go back again!

This was a FABULOUS venue right on Lake Huron! The staff was amazing and the food is delicious! A must if you are ever in town! You will not be disappointed!

My sons graduation ceremony was held here. I was fascinated by the Mayan-inspired decor. I thought about coming back to see some movies, but I couldnt find any prices posted anywhere. Ill have to look it up later or call during their business hours, but I thought it was an odd thing to be missing. The limited restroom availability made things difficult, but the building is old and that kind of renovation may not be possible.

Saw Jeff Daniels and the Ben Daniels Band. Great show and great place to see a show. The place is very clean, the seats are comfortable and the concessions are reasonably priced. And the band was just fantastic. Great experience all the way around. Highly recommended.

Ive been going to the State Theatre since I was a kid. The theatre has gone through a lot of restoration and looks beautiful, inside and out. The State puts on a great variety of entertainment, everything ranging from live performances to classic films. The Sundays in the City Christmas film series is something I look forward to ever year.

Nice venue, small and not a bad seat. Love that they have reusable beer glasses and wine glasses and that you can bring it in to refill. The staff is super friendly and actually seems to enjoy the or job and the crowds too!

What a cool venue! The decor inside is fantastic. Its a small auditorium, but that means that every seat is a good one.

Hey....Bay City and local folk.....get out and see anything at this place....this is a gem and we are lucky to have it. The current boss (for lack of better term), Mike Batchigalupo and the gang have brought some great talent and shows here....go see it.

Great experience watching Hells Half Mile festival there!

Very neat and clean facility. We were extremely impressed with Paul, the man running the theater. My niece had her wedding on the stage there, and afterwards my wife and I were cleaning up the decorations. We were the last to leave before Paul locked up. While walking to our car, my wife realized she had forgotten her cell phone inside. Paul had already left and she was content with going back the next day to get it.The reception was held in Saginaw, some 18 -20 miles away. That evening Paul showed up to give my wife her phone! Truly amazing to see someone go out of there way like that. Very thankful for his kindness.
