Very disappointed. My frames wont hold the lenses. The owner told me I bought cheap glasses (that he sold to me) and has refused to repair or replace them.I have used and loved Smarter Eyewear (particularly Patrick Lopez, manager at the Perkins locations) for years. When the lenses in my clear framed glasses began to bubble, I went into the Perkins location for help. After making me feel silly for asking, the owner reluctantly agreed to let me pay the $10 to mail them to the manufacturer for repair. They came back with fresh new lenses and I thought they were great- until one of the lenses continued to pop out at the worst times (while driving down the interstate, for example). Returned to Perkins location where the owner told me basically that I bought cheap glasses (what? you sold me these glasses; so now theyre cheap and defective and its my fault?) I made several trips back to the store for help.On one trip to the Highland location: the girl working there put them in the machine they use to manipulate the frames (they had done this on multiple occasions) but called the Perkins location for help when she could not fix them, sent me to drive blindly home in the dark, and advised me to bring them again to the Perkins location for help the next day.The owner has the worst, most condescending attitude. He effectively told me my glasses were cheap, it was my fault for utilizing the warranty for the lenses, and I could just buy more glasses from him because he was not going to do anything to help.I was previously a walking billboard for this store because I loved their service, expertise, and selection. Now I will be sure to tell everyone this story.

Fantastic customer service! Extremely helpful. For the first time in the 12 years Ive been wearing glasses I have finally found a pair I am happy to wear and feel confident in. Great variety and selection too. Theyll even turn a pair of sunglasses into prescription glasses if you really like a certain shape and style. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for eye wear of any kind!

Fixed one pair of sunglasses better than new and replaced broken lenses in another. Great selection and better service. Absolutely going back when it’s time for new ones.

Huge shoutout to Patrick Lopez at the Acadian Village location. He goes significantly above and beyond to ensure anyone who walks into his store receives the best service - even if theyre not a customer. I was new to the area and purchased a pair of glasses from Lenscrafters (big mistake) because I was in a hurry. I bought a relatively expensive pair and had one of the temples break cleanly off within a few weeks. I tried to file a claim online and was denied. I read a review on here that Patrick had done an outstanding job repairing someone elses frames that werent bought at this store, and decided to give it a shot as well. Patrick was able to repair the frames to where you couldnt even tell they ever broke, without the slightest bit of hesitation, you could tell he just genuinely wanted to help. Did a phenomenal job. On top of that he helped inform be and encourage me to push for them to replace them or refund me that it was indeed their fault and not mine, which I was able to take that information and get a partial refund. When its time to buy my next pair I will inevitably buy them here.

I am SOLD on Smarter Eyewear. I love my glasses, and I am enormously impressed with the fit and finish of the final product. Simply AMAZING!Heres why:As a full-time eyeglass wearer since age three (3) I am intimately familiar with the successes and failures of eyeglasses. Ive had what I thought were good pairs and really bad ones.NOT at Smarter Eyewear. These folks know their way around a face; for fit, for frame choice and with positioning of lenses in the frame for comfort and finish. Ive never been so satisfied with my glasses straight out of the tray. Even so, they still tweaked and refined my fit until it was perfect.My glasses look good. They feel good. I get great compliments on them. But most of all I can see really clearly out of them. No junk lenses here. Even though I had purchased my glasses elsewhere (VisionWorks), I went to Smarter Eyewear hoping they could help me with a small repair (crack on temple tips) and maybe fix the frame adjustment for me after the place where Id initially purchased my glasses failed to adjust them properly after repeated visits.The staff was extremely courteous and helpful, even though I hadnt bought my glasses there. I told them upfront that I had purchased them elsewhere, and it did not negatively impact the level of service I received. While the temple tips were unfortunately unable to be repaired due to the frame construction, they were able to confirm the extent of the problem for me and deemed them still wearable, which was a relief.They also adjusted the fit of my frames for me on the spot, and the adjustment was much better than I had previously received at VisionWorks. I felt like my glasses belonged on my face immediately after the first adjustment, and I did not have to try to explain what felt wrong for them to be able to adjust them correctly. The staff member simply had me try them on, shake my head around a bit while looking down, and adjusted the fit based on where the glasses fell after the movement. Super simple, and so much less stressful than trying and ultimately failing to convey the exact issue with the fit!I wish I had known about them before buying my glasses in the first place, but I will definitely be recommending them to others based on the excellent service I received!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience shopping here at Smarter Eyewear. The staff is awesome and very helpful. We really dont like shopping for eyeglasses but the experience here at Smarter Eyewear makes it effortless. They recommend styles that will compliment the shape of your face and you basically tell them what color or your preference and they walk around picking out frames for you to try on. You will not be disappointed!!! We love this place. Oh forgot to mention Paul filled out our paperwork for our insurance!!! How awesome is that! This is the best place to buy glasses in Baton Rouge. A small, local business that sells local brands. The two guys that run it are awesome, funny, cute, and give great advice on which frames fit your face/personality. They made all their shelves and tables by recycling packaging material. They have great coffee and citrus/cucumber-infused water. Its a really convenient, great location. I bought a pair of 141 frames when they first opened, and about 6 months later, they were stretched out and falling off my face -- I brought them back in and they reshaped and refitted them really fast at no cost (they also gave me a new microfiber cleaning rag + cleaning solution). I love them & you will too!

Employees are super helpful and very friendly! They helped me pick out my frames and made suggestions based on styles I liked. They have a wide range of frames and brands all at a decent price. I will definitely be visiting again!

My glasses broke on a Sunday on the day before I left town for a week. Patrick was not only open on Sunday, but he got me in and out the door in 30 minutes with a brand new pair. They have a great selection of frames and super customer service!

I visited this store because I was in the area and Ive been needing new glasses. When you walk in theres coffee and cucumber water. Its very open and has lots of natural sunlight which helps when youre trying to pick out the best glasses for you. Patrick and Autumn were there on my first visit. They were very helpful and greeted me with many glasses that would suit me best. Theyre very knowledgable and patient, as this can be a long process. The prices range was from pretty decent to high end expensive eyewear. But the variety of brands offer a few similar looks which helps out those who dont want to spend too much money. I have a hard time finding glasses that fit my face because my face is rather small. So it was exciting to see SO MANY options..especially ones that are more my style. I was stuck between at least 10 pair, which is unheard of for me. I left that day without any glasses, but I knew I was going to return because the price was okay, glasses are never usually cheap..and because I actually loved most of the glasses there. I came back 4 days later. I spent another hour figuring out which I wanted most with the help of Autumn and Teana. Was told it would take 30 minutes. I got them in 20 and I love my glasses. They offer glasses cloths and spray. If Im not mistaken I think she said you can come in and get cloths and spray for free after having bought a pair. I purchased my glasses through Teana and she was awesome! All in all, its nice to see a small local business do good work and offer trendy glasses. I will stick with them from here on out.
