Fantastic set of trails over 5 miles in total! You can do as little or as much as you want in a day. Wide flat trails along with narrower, steeper, inclines for a decent workout. Very kid and family friendly- even a jogging stroller would make it up the Overlook path. Dogs allowed on leash with dog poop baggies and disposal bins at the trailhead. Easy parking/access.

This is a beautiful place for a WALK. I was there for the first time because it is listed on line as a bike trail. There is one short bit, but not what I was looking for. I am glad theres a nice local (to Bath) place for people to enjoy.

The trails were well marked and clean. The views were gorgeous. It is dog friendly. My 3yo and 4yo did all but the last 2/10 of a mile- so it is not extremely difficult.

This trail never disappoints. I’ve grown up walking these woods and I find a new appreciation for the trails each time I go.

Trails were well marked. There were lots of choices in trails so you could vary the length of your hike. The river was beautiful, but there is a strong current, not for swimming. We saw a frog. It smelled like sanitation facility near the parking lot.

Nice trail with views of the river, markings are clear. The main loop takes about an hour with kids. The parking lot is a good size. The only bad thing is the transfer station near the parking lot is smelly.

Great dirt trail that is relatively nice and smooth, accompanied by multiple other trails that branch off the main trail. As you walk along the main trail there are many signs describing the various foliage, trees, and other trails. There are numerous things to catch your attention as it is such a beautiful place to walk. The path is well maintained and clean. The main trail is dog and stroller friendly, as for the other trails they have many bumps in the path such as tree roots and large rocks. Otherwise it is a great place to take a walk and get enjoy the scenery. Highly recommend!

Not a bad little spot to take a quick hike. Make sure that you bring plenty of bug repellent to ward off the ticks!Trails are beginner level but the views coming off the water make it a worthwhile trip. All the trails are marked on the trees and labeled at trail intersections so it is easy to find your way. Parking is limited.

Thorne Head is a jewel tucked out of the way in North Bath. There are clearly marked trails that zig zag and loop all over the preserve. If you are up for it you can even follow the Whiskeag trail that goes all the way to the Bath Area Family YMCA. That I believe is about five miles all said and done. The forrest scenery is beautiful and everyone seems to pick up after themselves. I definitely want to make this a regular hiking spot.

Thornes Head is quite literally the crowning jewel of green spaces within Bath, Maine. Located at the north end of town, this space includes many walking and biking trails, beautiful views, and many informational plaques scattered throughout the grounds. The trails vary from fairly short walks to longer ones interconnected with the Whiskeag Trail. Well groomed, and safe for the family. Check this place out if you havent been!

Great area to walk, run or be quiet. There is an handicapped accessible named trail called Overlook Trail. It has tree and plant life identification placards. What isnt well marked are the side trails off the main trail yet they are well marked on the trails.Parking lot is small so car pool. No bathroom facilities at present.

Great place for a walk in the woods, even better in the winter when you can strap on snow shoes and blaze your way down the many trails. Nice views of the water through the trees and different elevations make for changing difficulty levels. The city landfill is adjacent to the property, so there can be some unpleasant smells drifting over the hills on occasion.
