My experience goes back to the late 1950s and early 1960s. We were a movie going family and it was wonderful to have TWO choices: the Melba and the Landers! I hope to visit your restored version soon. I was born in Batesville and lived on what was then known as Main Street. Kudos for keeping the Melba alive and flourishing! Arts give a town its soul.

I got to go see Little Woman with my mama, my daughter, and one of my best friends. It was an awesome experience. The feel of the theater was phenomenal. It was beautiful and I cant wait to go back.

Just a good old theater thats still alive. Its good to see big old neon marques lit up with the outside ticket booth. Service was friendly and good. Movie experience was good, and had a clean theater.

I love going to the Melba. Its a big, one room theatre that shows movies that (usually) the entire family can enjoy together. I love the free Christmas movies they do, too!

A wonderfully restored historic theater. They typically dont have New Releases until about 6-8 weeks after national release. They also often show classic movies and the free movies during the holidays are treat. The low ticket and concessions prices make The Melba a great couple or family movie outing. My wife and I can get tickets, popcorn, and drinks for about $20. Wed spend that on just concessions at most theaters. Go early to see the old cartoons before the movie previews

This is a great family friendly theater. Its light on the wallet both ticket and concession wise. They show newish movies and even occasionally a vintage movie. Places like this are a dying breed. Enjoy this place, cherish it. Seats are comfortable and the sound is great. Clean bathrooms to boot.

I love this place. Friendly staff. Great sound and picture quality. Fresh snacks. Enjoy entertainment that is reasonably priced in a setting with lots of History! $4 movies every time. They also offer free movies through the year and around Christmas time!

I took my nephew to see Lion King. The theater and bathrooms were clean. Great job on the renovation. Plenty of parking which was surprising for a busy main street venue. The tickets were only $4. We will be going back...frequently.

Not a fan of assigned seats! With what I paid to get in here I should be able to sit where I want. Seats are not comfortable ,better off saving money and wait fow dvd. Place smells funny .

I am never disappointed visiting the Melba. The employees are always kind, and the movies are always great! The Christmas movies (free, by the way!) the Melba shows during the season are a testament of how much they truly love and care for this community. I Iove everything on our iconic Main Street, but the Melba has to be my favorite.

I absolutely love the Melba! I saw my first movie there, The Wizard of Oz. It is newly renovated now, and still incredibly affordable. The owners are very involved in the community, and downtown would not be complete without them!

The most adorable theater ever! Very nice seating, great sound, overall awesome theater. Very affordable too. During the summer there are kids movies for a deal and free Christmas movies in December. It’s a great place.

I remember going to the Melba as a kid. Today its much better. You dont stick to the floor. You dont get drips of water falling on you if it rains. The sound system is great if a tad loud for me.How can you beat $ 4.00 to see a show on the BIG SCREEN ? You cant. It is great. Go see for your self.

It was a magical night at Melba Theater tonight. I had no idea, that small Batesville has so many such talented musicians and singers. I have enjoyed pure happiness and joy of listening to old good songs created years ago by the Beatles. I highly recommend Melba Theater. It has been beautifully renovated. Just saw justice league. The sound at the theater was amazing everything was great. First time since they did the renovation and I was not disappointed one bit. Only 4.00 per ticket cannot beat the price would highly recommend to everyone. Good job guys.

This is a great place to go if you want a cheap, but clean movie experience. The tickets are 4 dollars and the concessions are really affordable. It only shows movies that are PG-13 and below, so it is very kid friendly.

Its cute, its historic, and its an interesting stop. Bad thing is the parking and theres only the one screen so you have to want to see the movie to go in. But its gorgeous and it fits perfectly in the Batesville main street neighborhood.
