Very Rich in African-American Culture, Great Historical Site. Charles Lester is an intelligent business man, strongly rooted to culture, very interesting ancestors Ive never seen in the Black History Books. Very Organized and Multifaceted Facility. Very Glad I Went, I Learned A Lot. Lester Family Also Rich In Culture of Bartow History.

To the children in our church there last week. It was very thorough and gave alot of information. The kids enjoyed themselves very much. I loved they fact the have a entire wall and a room about African American history in polk county. Were not often taught about our towns history in class. Its mostly focused on national history.

The volunteer women in there is very kind and gracious and will show you around and helps by answering questions regarding artifacts and the readings. They have original pieces from slavery, cotton and pieces from Africa.
