After leaving the Woolaroc Museum, we wanted to see the home of Frank Phillips. Of course, it was closed on Sundays. I am sure it looks great inside. We could only drive by to see it. I thought it would be bigger than it was. It is in the middle of town. I guess when it was originally built, it was probably one of a few homes in downtown Bartlesville. We could see a greenhouse on the property. I am not sure if it was originally there or added at a later time.

Did I know very much about Frank Phillips before touring his home? No. But this tour provided a great deal of insight into the Phillips family and the beginning of Phillips 66. Quite informative.

Intact original home of oil tycoon FrankPhillipa is well worth seeing. Guided tours are inexpensive and was about an hour long. The home is a step back in time as even family clothing and toys are displayed. There is an elevator if you cant walk up stairs to the 3rd floor. The carriage house gift shop is modest and the exhibits there interesting for a brief visit. The video you could skip if you are limited on time. Call ahead to check in tour times.

This mansion is definitely worth the visit. Lovely home, I thoroughly enjoyed it. One of the guides takes you on the tour, answers questions. Theres an elevator indoors to get to 2nd and third floors. One room, library, is sunken but I think a wheelchair or scooter bound person could still easily view the room. I just dont recall if theres a wheelchair ramp but Ill bet there is. Free parking. Nice little gift shop where I picked up some local cookbooks, or you can get a lively coffee table book of the area, nick knacks, postcards, etc. Next time I will take the Directors tour and watch the film.

A beautifully maintained historic home with fantastic tour guides. Understandably access is limited to hallways as rooms are decorated with the actual items that were in the home during its early years. Parking is a bit tight but this is a living neighborhood with families so if you go be respectful.

The house is not particularly elegant from the outside, but the interior is full of wonder and interesting things to see,. A $3000000 Rembrandt had been removed for restoration. The Phillips had a butler named Henry who lived on the top floor and he eventually became a millionaire also. The elevator still works, very helpful to people who have trouble with stairs. The doge begins the first tour at 10 a.m.

This Historic Mansion has the most awesome bathroom. In truth, the entire estate is impeccably maintained but my favorite room is the gleaming floor-to-ceiling gilt bathroom. Nothing quite says we have too much money like a 24k plated bathtub.Take the tour and bathe in the view of how the 1% lived back in 1940s.
