Great place to see a show - small venue with no bad seats, parking, spacious seating, good sound.

I got almost every year to the burlesque show. Always a great time.

Quaint smallish opera house, well refurbished. Comfy seats, good acoustics for theatre, not so good for live amplified music. Sweet spot in the front few rows of the balcony.

Beautiful old Opera house. Holds around 650 people - floor and one mezzanine. Affordable ticket prices, good parking (free after 5, weekends, holidays), with quality performances, both local and international.

Beautiful theater to perform in and to be a member of the audience! The Barre-Tones 48th annual show was very entertaining!

I went to a concert of Arrival from Sweden. It was fantastic. Dancing in the orchestra was allowed. Great move!Not so good was the highly intoxicated woman ( clearly visible) on the dancefloor interacting with a little girl.I was surprised not to see the ushers escort her out!The theater is great, pretty near impossible to get a bad seat.

Seen many shows here. Love the intimate feel of this smaller venue with reasonable ticket prices. Best bag for your buck for music! Great acoustics, not a bad seat in the house

Barre Opera House is an absolute gem located in Barre, VT. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. The historic architecture is breath-taking and they really have a wide variety of show types from classical music, to toe tapping funk, to classic rock and much more. Their costs for shows are so incredibly affordable for the level of experience that you get. If you never been, make a date night of it and experience a true wonder of Barre.

Very nice place for not being overly pricey

I purchased tickets to a show while visiting Vermont from out of town. When I put it on my calendar immediately afterward, I realized I had mistakenly selected the wrong date and we wouldnt be in town then. I called and emailed the opera house right away and was told I could not get a refund. I followed up and explained that I made a mistake and wouldnt even be in town. The box office said they would check with the director and Ive never heard back after repeated phone and emails. Disappointed that a small opera house wouldnt be considerate enough to do a refund when its possible for them to do so.
