Ohio is #4 in the US for most drive-ins. Very enjoyable experience as a child and as an adult. Great prices, good consession stand, 2 screens, fun for everyone. Recently attended a pre-recorded rock concert during Covid in August. What a great idea and a lot more fun than expected.

Took the kids to see Original Jurassic Park. They had a blast! Had fun with them. You can pay a fee to bring in food or drink. They also have the concession open.Prices are reasonable to get in for two movies. The prices for the food in drink are what you would expect for a movie theater etc.

Magic City Drive In was a great experience overall! They have two large screens and broadcast the movies over the radio or on speaker poles so that you can enjoy your own personal experience. They usually have movies showing that are great for all ages! All you do is pack a car full of friends and family and pay a flat rate per car and enjoy the rest of the night. They also have concessions and restrooms for your convenience.

I really enjoy this drive in. Even on opening Friday of Endgame, it wasnt busy at all. Picture quality is pretty good, food selection is decent, and you really cant beat the price ($20 per car). It was pretty muddy, but not bad enough to detract from the overall experience. Im sure well be back several times this summer.

First off, the place was not Covid friendly, people running in crowds, snotty kids playing golf... yes GOLF! What is one to do if your car gets a dent? Too many people with car lights on for long periods of time during the first feature. The screens were nice, however, the enjoyment wasnt quite there. Although there were social distancing rules at the concession stand, it was packed and there was not any distancing whatsoever so I went back to my car empty-handed. I went to their Facebook page to check out more info at intermission only to find out that they shut me off from comments or likes? Being perplexed at this, My only guess is that since I only ever posted a link there ONE TIME last week to suggest some movie pairings from another distributor, they might not have looked at the link and thought It was spam, that is the only thing I can think of, If not that, I do not know what else it would be... anyways the said distributor had great flicks and I am glad to see that a competing Drive-In actually picked it up on fans (like me) recommendations, oh well, their loss... and because of this, I decided to rate it at 1 star out of 5 instead of the of 2 that I had originally planned. Only the Movies playing that night saved face... This is the only Drive -In disappointment I had this year. Only way I may come back is if they have some super awesome cant miss billing...

The movies were great. However, no upkeep has been performed on the parking lot for several years! It wad a muddy mess with no gravel! That didnt stop them from thinking they needed more revenue, however. They raised the price of carload to $25 for Friday and Saturday nights AND concession ticket to $10! We got a deal since we went on a Sunday night. Only paid $20 and $10 concession ticket. Ha! Concession ticket is what I call the fine they impose on people who bring their own snacks and drinks.Ill drive the few extra miles to the beautiful Twin drive-in in Kent. Bye bye Magic City! After so many years and great memories, youve forced this loyal family away with your unkept facility and greed.

There was some call-offs the night we went, and the manager took it out on both the staff and the patrons. Completely obtuse. Other than him, the rest of the staff was friendly and pleasant. Concessions were fairly priced. Pretzels were stale. $20 admission per carload was a value. Functioning oldstyle hang on window speakers were fun. Strange layout where both screens face the same direction, and if you are at screen two, you can see (and regrettably hear) the movie on screen one.

A bit shabby and rundown but what would you expect from a vintage drive-in theater? Sound comes through a radio station now instead of a speaker hanging on your window which is great. Been going to Magic City and sister theater, Blue Sky, for at least 10 years. Always have a nice time. However, concessions have gotten progressively worse each year. Staff does not seem to care at all.Pizza was awful. Burnt cheese and crust, blackened in spots. Sauce was at least 1/2 inch thick in spots while the center crust was soggy and lukewarm.Funnel Cake was tiny and overcooked.Trying to navigate this mess in the dark at a drive-in movie, impossibleReturned both to concession area cashier; met with blank stares.Too bad. We won’t be purchasing food from the concession stand again.

I couldnt believe how inexpensive the snacks were! Also they have a ton of options!!! Burgers. Dogs. Pizza, popcorn, candies, and lots more. 4 stars because I could hear the other movie behind me at times. Not too distracting, just a point of notice. I was in the front row of truck parking. I imagine it was more noticeable to those who were further back. Bonus points for having a playground!! You can arrive early and the kids can play until movie time!!!! The drive-in was okay. The screens were nice and big and the sound worked great. The only problems I had were the bathrooms and the lot itself. The bathrooms were small and not well maintained. They were rundown and I would not feel okay having to sit down on the toilets. The sink did not stay on by itself and the bathroom was so cramped you felt almost claustrophobic. As for the lot, it was big enough. The bad side was that it was a sopping mud pit when we went. Walking anywhere required you to hop mud puddles and slog through mud. There is hardly any gravel. I would say that this place is okay but I probay wont be returning.

I believe this drive in is run by the same people that run Blue Sky in Wadsworth but theres quite a difference in theatres and well be sticking to Blue Sky from now on. We arrived at Magic City early to see Jurassic World in order to get a good spot. First, we were told the wrong screen number so after setting up all our chairs/ blankets we had to pack up and move to the other screen. We pulled up in the front row (like we always do at Blue Sky) and unloaded and set up everything again, only to be told our vehicle was too big and we needed to move back to the yellow speaker poles with the larger vehicles. Now I totally understand and agree with this policy except that my car is a Toyota Matrix which is a COMPACT HATCHBACK. We also were going to keep the hatch closed during the movie so that it wasnt obstructing anyones view. But, were rule followers so we packed up our things, again, and moved back and ended up way off to the right where you have to view the screen at an angle. Shortly after that, two full size pick up trucks pulled in front of us. They were not asked to move. Aside from that, the picture was pretty poor quality. Others may not have noticed but as a former movie theatre projectionist, it bothers me to see a dim image on the screen and a picture that doesnt even come close to filling the screen. The only plus is that the sound speakers work better than at Blue Sky. I didnt purchase anything from the concession stand so I cant rate that but I did cut through it to get to the bathroom and Im not sure I could have purchase anything, as the employees were very busy hunkered down below the counter with their heads together watching something on their phones. Stick with Blue Sky.

Love going there to watch movies, but I will pay the extra to being my own food. Everytime I have bought food it was gross. We went there tonight I got a burger and my bun was harder then a rock I asked for another one. I usually just let it go but it happens everytime I have bought food. So later I went back up and got a candy bar thinking a candy bar will be good. I bought a snickers. I took a bite and it tasted off. When I got home I was looking at it and it went out of date 3 months ago. Other then the food I like the place. I wont get food there again.

I love this place. I love that it has 2 screens and that the concession has all the typical theater food and some original treats. It offers both the window speakers and a radio station for each screen. There arent many drive ins left, and that makes this one all that more special. There is a slide, feild, and swings for kids while waiting for the movie to start, or to occupy themselves during intermission. There is a $5 or $6 dollar fee for bringing your own food in, but I really think thats fair. $6 to bring in 1-3 coolers for two movies? Yes please! And if you spend $18 in concession your original outside food fee is refunded! Hope to see YOU there this summer!

It was nice for the most part. Great deals for the movie and concession isnt too bad. I had a pizza and it wasnt cut well. I had to rip it apart for everyone and it burned my fingers but it was tasty. The workers are teens so I didnt mind much. Its a little expensive but thats expected. It only costs $5 for a permit to bring all the food you want and if you buy $15 at concession they will refund your $5 permit as well. My boyfriend went to use the bathroom and said it was absolutely disgusting. He said there was standing pee in the floor. Im just glad I didnt have to use the restroom. We only stayed for one movie but the radio transmission was very strong and we enjoyed the movie.

This is a great drive-in! At first I didnt think so. It seem a little worn. But they have made improvements over the years.Did some painting, Fixed up the concession stand. If you want to enjoy the Drive-in experience, you have to take it for what its worth. Not too many are around any more, especially since the mandatory incorporation of digital projectors (which are very expensive), probably put some more drive-ins out of business because they couldnt afford them. The Drive-ins are only open from Spring to Fall. They make most of their money from the concession stand from what I heard. People complain about the $4 surcharge for bringing in their own food. You have to remember: this is a business that is seasonal and they have to do what they have to do to get through the Winter months. This drive-in has outlasted many newer indoor cineplexes out there that have came and went. You can enjoy watching a movie under the stars from inside your car or outside your car with chairs when its nice outside (Sometimes, I think it sounds better outside of the car!). The picture quality is great. If theres a lot of dark scenes in the movie, they might not be visible because of the contrast of the night sky, however, I havent had any problems viewing any movie since they added the digital projectors.Theyre doing a good job here. The kids seem to like it. Id recommend it!
