Paid for 2-Step Entertainment to perform at my wedding. They cancelled less than 2 days before. They didnt refund my money and stopped communicating with me. I had to take them to court, which they didnt show.See attached Judgement Entry.This is not a company I would recommend to anyone. Think really hard before you pay a company IN FULL for services to be rendered later.
My wife and I booked 2-Step Entertainment for our wedding in July and we truly couldnt be happier with how great they were! The photo booth was an amazing addition and kept our guests interacting all evening. The music was incredible from beginning to end and we have received so many compliments about how much fun everyone had and how great it all was! We would recommend one hundred times over. Didnt show up til half way through my moms wedding and wasnt answering his texts or phone calls when we tried to get a hold of him. My mom had to fight to get refund from him if she even did yet. Take my advice and DO NOT use this company
We hired 2 Step for our wedding on 10/12/2019 and Adam was nothing but absolutely amazing and perfect! He kept everyone out on the floor all night. People are still talking about how great he was! Cancelled the night before for my nieces wedding, and never returned a single dime of her money (they paid in full) even after a court order to pay them back! They are crooks!
We had 2-Step Entertainment for our barn wedding and they were amazing! Our guests havent stopped talking about how great the evening was. From the ceremony to the reception they handled everything gracefully, and when it was time to party, they made us party!! It seemed like every song was the perfect choice for the moment and we danced the night away. We even kept going for another hour because we didnt want to stop and no one wanted to leave! I highly recommend this company. So incredibly happy!
One of my good friends (well call him BB) hired this company owned by Adam Michael Shearer to DJ his wedding. BB paid for this service in full when he booked it. In the days before the wedding, 2-step Entertainment cancelled on BB and his wife. I guess somebody quit, and someone was sick. I get that. Things happen. BB, although upset, understood this also, as he is a small business owner too. BB asked for a refund, but was ghosted by 2-step and Adam Michael Shearer. After many attempts to get his money back, BB was forced to sue in court. Adam Michael Shearer was a no-show for the court appearance. The judge found the case to be in BBs favor, and awarded him his money back, plus costs. BB still hasnt been refunded. Adam Michael Shearer took BBs money, provided no services, and no refund.I am trying to make sure no one else has to go through this. You will be much better off finding someone who will honor their commitments, and give you the service you paid for. There are photos of the court documents, and the conversations between BB and Adam Michael Shearer attached to this review. If they are removed, please let me know so I can share them with you.I would not recommend hiring this man, or his company.
No way would I recommend this service to ANYONE! I was skeptical at first but after meeting with him I decided to give this DJ benefit of the doubt. Paid him upfront with the full amount. Months later we found out he has cancelled on many brides and even coming down to the last minute. I personally did not want to have to deal with this for my wedding. So after seeing on our contract that we could cancel if more than 30 days before the event, we could receive our money back. We’ve contacted this DJ and he stated he’d refund us. Afterwards he ignored all our calls and request for our money back. Many people are suing this company. AVOID!!!!
Wow. Still in shock. Adam promised over and over the last couple of weeks that HE would be the one to DJ our daughters wedding after they talked with him about their grave concerns with all of his recent bad reviews. We hired him many months back when all the reviews were good. He even wrote up a new contract that said that he would be the one who was going to be there. When I got to the reception there was another DJ there who said he was hired by ADAM 2 DAYS before the wedding!!! He did not even know how to pronounce the couples last name. Again. Shock.
We canceled with him because of all the bad reviews lately. He said it was no problem and he understands why. He even tried telling us he fixed everything with all the other bad reviews but we told him we still didnt feel comfortable going with him. He said no problem I will refund everything. That was four months ago and now he doesnt pick up our phone calls. Do not use!!!!!!!
We hired 2 step entertainment for our wedding on 8/31/19. We met with Adam 8 months in advance and hired him for our wedding. He told us that he would personally be the dj for our wedding and we paid him upfront in full. We met with him again 2 weeks before the wedding to go over the itinerary and to ease our minds as we had been reading many recent negative reviews. He was very nice and answered all of our questions, then 2 days before the wedding he emailed us in the evening cancelling on us. We then realized we were amongst multiple brides that he had booked and cancelled that day. Recently, his company’s Facebook page posted photos of a wedding they did on the same day he cancelled our wedding. I asked for a refund and was told he would process it ASAP and to give him 7-10 business days. It has been almost 2 weeks and we have not received any money. I would not recommend hiring them for your wedding as it was a total nightmare for us.
Adam was a no show at our wedding , what a disappointment of a man .....he has not sent our refund back either. And no apology, how do you have a clear conscious and have a business of stealing peoples money on the most important day of their lives....what a low life,i hope every person in his family realizes what a low life he is to do this !Yea Im sure his parents are real Proud of him!
I couldn’t have been happier with the job 2-Step did at our wedding! Excellent service, and unbelievably easy to plan using their website. May I also add that the response time to questions is truly impeccable! Highly recommend. Would give 10 stars if I could. Thank you so much! Ross and Wendy.
Adam was a great DJ for my wedding. Music selection was great, he kept everyone on the dance floor, and he was great with all our special requests.
I would NOT recommend this DJ to anyone! He ruined my daughters special day. We met with him the week before the wedding and he did confirm HE would be at my daughters wedding Ceremony and Reception along with a 2nd person that he was training and they did not show up? We had contracted and paid Adam in full months before the wedding because he offers this $100 discount. Now I know why he does. He took our money and ran! He sent another DJ in his place (Again our Contract was with Adam from 2 Step Entertainment) that we never met or heard of before and he arrived 15 minutes before the Ceremony was to start and was supposed to be bringing a wireless mic for the Officiant to use. We ended up only having a couple of minutes of music and it was not even the music we requested! Music was to start at 1:30 and he didnt even arrive until 1:45 and still had to set up. He was late because Adam from 2 Step never gave him the location of our Ceremony. He sent him to the Reception hall which was at another location. And to top it off Adam never gave him our Play List and Agenda for the day. We spent much time going through step by step instructions with Adam and he assured us everything would be taken care of. And then he didnt pass that along to the replacement DJ? Needless to say the rest of the night was a disaster as the replacement DJ did not keep the audience moving or speak up and take control as Adam promised he would do for us. I am so upset and furious at this point that I will leave it at that. I understand emergencies come up but the replacement DJ said he was notified two days before....so why werent we notified??? Awaiting a return phone call now to hear his excuses.
All around FANTASTIC service, we had a small wedding in last October and we had Adam as our DJ. He was great, kept the party going and the mix of music was for everyone!
Cancelled 2 days before wedding while we were at the rehearsal dinner, not just on one person but 6 other brides as well. Not sure how he booked 7 weddings on the same date. Hasn’t refunded money to the bride.

Warning! DO NOT BOOK THIS DJ. This is a total scam. We booked 2-step Entertainement one year before our wedding date of August 31, 2019 -paid in full. At first, Adam the owner seemed very professional, he was very responsive and had great reviews etc. closer to our date I reached out to follow up and asked for a second meeting to go over the details. He was not responsive and I would have to message him on Facebook to answer my emails. I started getting really nervous - I should have listened to my gut. I finally was able to schedule a meeting with him on Monday August 26th. I emailed him to confirm our meeting time that day, and he cancelled on me! I then asked for a phone call- I spoke with Adam on August 28th and I felt reassured because he was very detailed and confirmed all my details with me. Then, August 29th at 8pm - less then 48hrs before my wedding Adam emailed me saying he had to cancel because he was in the hospital and that they would be refunding my money. I did not see the email until after 10pm, because I was at my rehearsal dinner!!! I was in tears from The stress and that instantly put a damper on my night. I hoped on Facebook for some guidance, and at least 4 other brides had the same story as I did! Come to find out, Adam was not in the hospital and just overbooked himself. I have not heard from him since. He won’t answer my calls, texts or emails. I have not received my refund. I have spoke with a few other brides that booked him and have the same story as mine. Truthfully this guy needs to be behind bars! I would hate for anyone to go through what I went through, and what I will have to deal with to get my money back! Thankfully I found another Dj who did an amazing job, but I had less then 24 hours to get him up to speed on top of everything else I had to get done! Please do not book him and if you did I would highly recommend finding someone else, otherwise you will probably be scrambling at the last minute to find someone and you will be out the money you paid him!!!
I would make this 0 stars if I could recently canceled with him and he has refused to give me my money back. He has also refused to answer or return any of my phone calls/texts/emails. So now I will be taking him to small claims court. If you have any sense do not book with him.
The day of my sisters wedding she could not reach the DJ. Still after ceremony no communication. Had to to scramble and find another. Has not refunded money paid yet!! Shady unreliable and dishonest
We paid in full at time of booking.If I wouldnt have initiated a meeting before my wedding, Im not sure he wouldve A. remembered our wedding date and B. contacted us to have a meeting. He kept putting it off and we finally drove an hour away the DAY BEFORE OUR WEDDING to go over everything we wanted. Adam acted very weird when we were there, like he knew he forgot about out date or something. Confirmed everything we wanted, and I left feeling super excited. The very next day was my wedding day, Adam sent a Facebook message canceling when I was on my way to my ceremony. at 3:00 PM. Said there was going to be someone else filling in. I was immediately met at my reception with a bunch of questions I had JUST went over with Adam the day before. Our parents were not announced, our bridal party wasnt announced correctly, the song we had a surprise family dance to that we practiced for months with our kids was completely wrong. So it didnt end up happening. We had to do toasts without drinks because the DJ we had just did everything backwards. It was so awkward for the first 2 hours of our reception. Come to find out this DJ knew for months she was going to be djing our wedding, never once were we put into contact with her. Found out she had only DJd one wedding before that, that she is usually a club DJ. Now I understand why Adam acted so shady the day before. He knew this all along, I wish he was just upfront with us and gave us our actual DJs info instead of saying he was for sure going to be there. We called him to complain, never once was offered any kind of discount back or even a call back when he said he would. I would not recommend this company at all. I dont want to say it ruined my wedding because I would never let that have power over one of the most important days of my life, but it came close.
Adam (the main dj and owner) will tell you he will be at your wedding.....book everything and then last minute find a replacement that he doesnt even know the night before your wedding! Check all other reviews he does this quite often!

100% scam Had to take Adam the owner to court..He did a no show at my wedding we paid for the dj service plus photo booth.He contacted me the same day 2 hrs before wedding to say someone stole the photo booth and used it at another wedding people from that same wedding testified in court for me..This guys is a pig and a scam artist DO NOT USE..
We booked 2-Step Entertainment for my son and daughter-in-law’s wedding. From the word go we couldn’t have been any more happy and pleased with the level of expertise, attention to detail, and service that was provided. We had an incredible evening and our friends and family have been complementing the DJ repeatedly ever since. Thank you 2-Step Entertainment for making our son’s big day a huge hit!
