Cozy and warm! Staff helpful, but not intrusive!

We had my granddaughters birthday party there!

Access was simple and not far from 895. There is plenty of parking especially if you have an event. The people that work there are extremely friendly and the pricing is reasonable. They provide a variety of space for whatever event you are having and packaged deals

Great place for a birthday celebration!!

My family had my moms Memorial here and the set up and space was perfect. The staff was very accommodating and helped bring our vision to life. For a gathering of 50 or less this is the place to book.

Ive used this studio 3-5xs now. I have enjoyed the experience so much each and every time. The owner, is a very nice and pleasant guy. The facility is nice and clean and have always had the equipment that I needed.

Horrible customer service! Book the venue for a baby shower two weeks after pay in full Eric the owner tells be he double booked for the same room he had to give priority for someone else who wanted to have a 80 year old Birthday Party because they were older! Ended getting the room I booked after two weeks of calling with no response finally they agreed! This was so stressful and rude. Waited two months for my security deposit! Only received it after going down there and was $20 short! But he can have it so we don’t have to deal with them again! Nice venue but not worth it! So unprofessional!

Horrible customer service and horrible event set up experience! I WOULD NOT recommend.Beautiful venue, but very unprofessional owner. This place double books events and seems to only be concerned about profit. This place put a 12 p.m. set up in my contact because they didnt want to disturb an art show that was occurring on the night of my event. I ultimately ended up setting up at 6 p.m. and was still rushing to set up when my guests arrived to my event.Heres why:The staff of this venue went out of their way to put a 12 p.m. event set up condition in my contract per the direction of Eric, and then I was not allowed to set up at this time on the day of the event (talk about a breach of contract AND no heads up).There was a total disregard for me, my patronage, those helping me set up the event, and my guests. Not only that, the owner Eric lacks poor communication skills and was very disrespectful, insensitive, and unaccommodating after double booking a MEMORIAL during the time I was designated to set up for my event.He turned away my event designer when she arrived and this is the only reason I knew. When I called to ask him why he didnt communicate this change, instead of immediately apologizing and offering a solution, he stated: What do you want me to do? Theres a memorial going on. Tell them to pack up and stop crying? and Okay, youve already said this. What more can I say, I said sorry already.Then when I asked what alternative time should I come, he said it didnt matter in a very unconcerned and annoyed disposition. This interaction speaks volumes because he, along with other staff, were friendly and smiled in my face the day I came to tour the venue and to put down a security deposit.This was truly an inconvenience for me and this customer service interaction was a slap in the face and super disappointing, considering how expensive this venue is. Luckily everyone on my event set up team could come back at a later time. I dont know what I would have done if they couldnt have.When I arrived to set up for the event at 6 p.m., the memorial slideshow (showing when the individual was born and when they had passed) was still playing outside the Loft my event was being held in. Reminder: the memorial happened at noon.I had to go out of my way to ask that they change it to the appropriate surprise birthday celebration slideshow. WOW.I also had to lug beverages and other heavy items through crowds of people and loud music (Reminder: the art show that they initially did not want to disturb was occurring on the lower level).Overall, its a nice venue, but NOT worth it. If you have any desire to feel respected, considered, and that your time and hard-earned money is appreciated, please choose another venue.Its very possible that you can have last minute stress and mishaps due to this venues poor communication and double booking.If you are still considering this venue, I advise you to micro-manage and stay on top of your event details (which is something you should NOT have to do. Planning an event is already stressful enough.)

Very nice place to rent and host events

Very likeable staff. Tables set up, covered, and chairs arranged by them exactly as we wanted. They were accessible, but not intrusive. Well use them again.

It was a cute quaint spot. Separate meeting rooms with private bathrooms. It was upstairs and those steps.. I gave it four stars because construction was going on during our gathering and we had to practically dodge the ladder that was right at the door to enter the place that the men were working on. There is no private parking so get there early so that your guaranteed a spot.

The people this establishment. They were very helpful. They also assisted with getting thing that we needed to pull off my niece reception. Their atmosphere is astonishing.

I had the opportunity to be part of a group art show in January 2018- Art From the Heart. It was a curated event put on by Ania Milo Swann and covered by news journalist Jamie Costello. The owner Eric Fondersmith was so easy to work with and was a fair mediator between the artists and the curator. His staff too conducted themselves with great professionalism. Eric made himself available through the entire experience from hanging the show, during the event happening, all the way through to the closing. The Gallery and event spaces are large with many additional rooms for artist studios and smaller, more intimate group activities and meetings. A great place to hold your next event or company meeting.

Love the space and professionalism of the staff. My company and I enjoy this clean and versatile space for our staff and models as we conduct our photo shoots here. We have used this venue several times and plan on maintaining a membership to continue using this venue. The staff is very helpful and the process of all events always run very smooth , very highly recommended place.

I had a great experience with Eric from SkyLofts. I have not lived in Maryland for almost a decade but we still have a lot of friends and family there. So when my husbands 40th came along I knew I had to do something in MD, but the task was daunting because I would be doing this long distance (Im 11 hours drive away) and would be pretty much planning it all on my own. I checked out a couple of places but the prices I saw were ridiculous and it was difficult getting concrete pricing for everything. What I loved about SkyLofts is that they have everything priced out for you, down to the tablecloths, and they had great recommendations of things to add to the ambiance. Also, Eric was great at giving me an idea of just how many tables and chairs would fit the space considering the amount of people I was expecting. So I was able to go through and create a detailed and itemized list so I was fully aware of what my budget would be. The only issue I had was the reconciling of the amount I paid vs what they were updating in the system, but a quick phone call to Eric squared it all away. Eric was not pushy and very patient with me and was very flexible when it came down to making my payments before the due date. The day of the event he and his staff was very helpful and the place was just perfect. All I needed were a few decorations for the tables and balloons and that was pretty much it. Parking was a bit difficult since it was street parking and the area is not very well lit but I couldnt have asked for anything more. Thank you Eric and staff for making it a huge success! If you have any questions just send me a pm on fb (I would have loved to pick someones brain before deciding).

I went recently to put a deposit down on one of the rooms. Its for my granddaughters Sweet 16! We were looking for something a little different than renting a hall. Inside is beautiful and they have a lot of nice extras to rent should you choose to. Eric was kind and explained everything to us. I went to my girlfriends party at SkyLofts, and I must say I was extremely impressed and pleased with the atmosphere and the setup. The building is like nothing Ive seen before and the staff was very helpful and professional. I most definitely will be hosting any future events I have here and highly recommend others do as well!!

My grandsons 1st birthday party was held here last weekend. Awesome place, nicely decorated and spacious. The owner and employees were super accommodating. Id highly recommend.

Cute place to have smaller gatherings. Parking is an issue. Theres no elevator so you must make multiple trips up and down stairs to bring in your items. Also, I was bothered that they were trying to clean the room and set up tables while we were setting up food and decorating. No one wants you sweeping around food items and being in the way.

Amazing location, quaint and intimate. Perfect for a small party/ engagement party etc.

My niece had her birthday party here and it was beautiful. We were in the lower ballroom space which was big and open. There was alot of natural light and the space felt very inviting. There was both a private bathroom and kitchen availiable to use.

I got t-shirts made for our family reunion. They were very good quality, reasonably priced and ready in a short amount of time. Would definitely recommend Skyloft!

Cool place. Nice environment and I had a good time.

The building rooms are really nice and clean but its in a really sketchy neighborhood. Plus you have to park on the street there is no parking lot.Also it is not well heated. I was wearing my winter jacket through the whole class I took there even though it was late April.

Skylofts was the perfect place. They had everything my daughter wanted for her Sweet 16. The set up they offered, lighting and the staff were perfect.They were very flexible with me adding to and removing items from our list.When it comes time for another party this will be the place. Thanks again.

The venue is very stylish but small, by it being a residential community there is no decent or ample parking, the area is dark and dim lighting at night. I cancelled my event five months ahead and they charge “ administration fees” to fill out paper work. It’s been three weeks and I still don’t have my refund back... oh make sure you are the only one touring the venue because they included that in time and fees to deduct from my deposit!!! THUMBS DOWN!!!!!

The place looks nice on the inside. While the event I attended was going on someone was showing potential costumers the venue....needless to say that is not professional. Also some white drunk guy came in and tried to have an acoustic solo performance(I think he was one of the owners friends). Beside those two occurrences the place was cool.

I attended a wedding reception here last week and had an amazing time. Skylofts is a stylish venue with a very helpful staff. I will absolutely use skylofts for any event my wife an i have.

Great venue and gallery space!

Skylofts Gallery & Studios is a Commission Free Art Gallery. The Artists pay to hang their artwork, but Skylofts receives no commissions from artwork sales. Hosting your Event here is a pleasant experience. Their prices are reasonable and the spaces are Beautiful. No worries about amenities like tables and chairs or other goodies, theyve got you covered there as well.

This venue is absolutely amazing. Its a unique and flexible space with a lot of history. Ive rented studio spaces for my filming projects a half dozen times. Theres so much you can do there. The owner is honest and ready to help with anything.

Beautiful venue!! Very spacious, lots of upcoming artist exhibits are displayed. They rent out for private parties too.I go there when ever I can on Sundays at 4pm for praise and worship with The Living Room church come try it out, lots of love and healing is in the air... pot luck after the service.

Gave a birthday party here nice venue but they need to freshen the place up: fresh paint job and refinish the floors for the price it should be showcase finished when yu walk in. Have to down grade my review for the simple fact that per agreement deposits would be returned the Wednesday following your event....2 weeks went by and I had to call to inquire about my deposit. Then my deposit was shorted by $16 because I was charged for 2 table that I didnt rent from the property one of which my DJ bought because he didnt want to put his equipment on tables not knowing the condition and the second a small one that was bought in for a candy station. I had someone else pick up my check for me when I called to ask why my deposit was short no one has yet to call back. So just make sure yu ask all the questions yu need to cover all ur bases. Its held off 3 referrals that attended my event....

Went there for a birthday celebration. It was a great space to have anniversary or party. Loved the art work on the walls.

We had an engagement party here, our guests really loved the size and industrial look of the loft space which we rented. We went to set up for our party and were assured that two ugly couches would have been moved, but they were still in the space, the owners told us that the space would be ready for us to set up and it wasnt, which caused us to spend more time trying to set up for our party (which they do charge if you take longer than an hour to set up).They had an open house after our setup so the space looked wonderful to potential renters. We had a table with candy set up and I noticed that some candy was missing when I came back for my party. We had a great party but the owners and employees were walking in and out of our party. There were random people (not our guests) walking into our party to use the restroom even though there was a restroom outside of the loft space that we rented.In the middle of our party, one of the owners brought in and put up a ladder to try and fix the fog machine which (we purchased with the lights/entertainment package). The fog machine did not work properly, in fact it pushed out a little fog once then that was it.I had some of my guests ask me why the workers and owners kept coming into our party. That was very tacky to me because I too wondered why they were constantly coming in and out of our space. We had no problems or issues with our guests being out of hand or any such thing. If they were hosting a party and random people kept walking into and through their party, would they have been happy with that? I dont think they wouldve been.We are nice and professional people so we even offered food and drinks to the owners and their staff for their work with us. But they were constantly in our party space which concerned me.While I loved the space I do think that the owners could use someone that could better manage, organize and set up a more professional system to help launch their business more. I tried to contact them after our party to speak with and thank them but no one returned my call. I strongly question if we would rent their space for a party again.

Skylofts helped us host an event for my mothers Premier Design jewelry on Thursday and the venue was perfect. The art in the gallery is a fun way to entertain guest as they have quite a variety! The space is large and accommodating, we will definitely be back!

My family and I hosted an event and everyone we worked with was very helpful. Answering questions, making changes to the set up on the fly, just their overall level of attentiveness was awesome.
