I can faintly hear whats left of the fish population yelling, MERCY!!? with how much angling activity that place sustains. Wonderful little get away for the family with the travel paths and the creeks with the small beaches.

A short walk down and to the right lead us to a wonderful spot with powder sand, a slowly moving river and many rocks to check out. Bring a trash bag or a bucket, and remember to pack out what you packed in times two!Warning! Watch your step, broken glass!

Blackwater is a fun, adventurous place. Kayaking, fishing, nature trails, and swimming in the Comite River are parts of the fun all can have. There are snakes and alligators here. Its a wildlife conservation! This is a beautiful area. The first pond has been cleaned. It is no longer over full of lillies. The island is where the alligators usually stay. Yet they will swim.

I took the kids and caught a bunch of little break plus the swimming is awesome in the comite river when the water is down.

Very nice place, but cant fish in the big lake! Its full of lilies! So limited to where you can fish!!

Well maintained trails and plenty of spots around the lakes to fish.

Dont try to kayak or fish in the main pond unless you go to the Hooper Rd side. We fished for two hours in the smaller pond to not even one bite. As you can see, someone tried to clear out a spot by the deck to fish. But the trails for walking seem nice.

Pretty cool place , its not very crowded people are friendly. Lots of trails where you can bring a bike or even walk a dog. Make sure to bring a fishing rod as they have ponds you cant resist

We were at the river in the back with a 7 year old and we spotted an alligator on the bank across the water.so if your bringing little kids please keep then safe!!!

The trails are great. Lots of options for length of him. The trails are easily accessible by our small children, but interesting enough for our older kids. We love that large sections are shaded, and you have a mix of docks on the water and trails through the trees. A great, free outing!

Good fishing totally have nice bass white perch, bream,and catfish look out for snakes

Nice place with two fishing ponds

Be careful when visiting. My wifes wallet was stolen from our bag while we were fishing and our belongings were out of eyesight. By the time we got back to our car and realized, charges were already made to her credit card. This is a pretty nice place but beware of some of the clientele visiting.

This is a great spot to go for a walk, fish, swim(on the DL). The trails are usually well manicured and long enough to feel like youve walked a bit. Its a very tranquil place.

Lovely place to relax. Far enough away from big cities so it is not over crowded. Parking a bit too far from the river, especially for elderly or families with small children.

Great place to take a walk with the kids! They also enjoyed that this was a Pokemon stop. Concrete and nature walkways. They also have ducks to feed and a nice deck on the lake.

Such a beautiful place! The walk to the river was very peaceful and filled with wildlife and vegetation with a clear walking path. The only complaint I had was at the river area people just left thier trash everywhere. Maybe adding a trashcan on the sandy beach area would help! All in all it was a beautiful nature walk and fun in the river! The spot we were at was not deep at all and perfect for my 7 and 5 year old to play safely! This is an area where your definately want river shoes though as the bottom has areas of clay and hard rocks.

Pretty little quiet place to walk your pet. Theres a dock for you to fish on. There are plenty places for you to get to the lake off the trails on. You can go there to walk jog or enjoy the scenes. Ive seen people with boats on the lake there.

Amazing place to go. Great little beach and trail in the back to walk or bike ride. Also great huge pond in the front for fishing. Great to get amazing photos of sunsets, also really any pictures.

Really improved from the past, nicely mowed and trees are thinned back for safety, I absolutely love walking here, visit at least weekly. Love to see the occasional patrol car there to keep it safe from thieves and freaks
