A nice patch of nature along the Lake Shore Trail. The place had been restored to native vegetation. It is now visited by many birds and butterflies. There is a beautiful walking trail of about a quarter mile long, flanked by flowers on both sides. When you are on the trail, it feels like you are far away from the bustle of the city.

I love the improvements they have done over the years. Absolutely love the walking trails. My son loves the animals and the playground. Very nice place to have a picnic and watch him play. Love watching the boaters. I want to fish every time I get there lol would love to see more docks around the circle so ppl could walk out and feed the fish or geese out on the water. The long walking dock where the trains used to be were, was not open to the public. Definitely sad about that. The view of the river at the end of the dock was beautiful. The alligators were feeding their. The water had come inside the area where the goats were one day and as we were walking back toward the entrance of the trail, we saw one huge gator grab a baby goat so quick the baby goat and us never saw it coming until it was to late. Thats when it was so time to go and we got moving very quickly. We love and respect nature lol

Always a great place to spend quality time with the kids. Fish werent biting for us or anyone else in the boat launch lake or river. But, it is a safe and fun place to hang out for a few hours.

Again, a great place to get outdoors and enjoy nature and I love the walking paths too. A great way to get your exercise in and can see a lot of nature close up as well. Boaters and fishermen have a lot of launching ramps to take advantage of too, which is a very big plus in south Georgia. A lot of shaded areas here as well, which again allows you to try to escape south Georgias heat and humidity this time of year.

Great place to take a walk and enjoy nature! A real gem in this small town! They have great trails for biking, running, and walking. Everyone, both kids and adults, loved the petting zoo, which is home to emus, a donkey, and many more creatures. We were there in the evening, and the view over the water on the boardwalk was really lovely.

Ok it lost a star because the beach they have there is unclean and needs alot of maintenance. Other then that it is a pretty place, i just wish the beach was not so trashy.
