This club is a thieves club !!!!!!!!!! they never have boats, when you find a boat the lift is broken so you cant put it in the water and they cancel your reservation ... they invent repairs that dont exist and take your money on your credit card. person I answer on the phone, the staff is horrible and cheeky ... I am canceling my membership but nobody answers me ......

I was a member of another boat club in Florida and before you give these guys a bad review join any one of the other clubs around here. The boats at this club rate at least an 8. Considering constant daily use that is tremendous. At my other club the boats were at best a 2. The dock staff at Carefree Boat Club of South Florida are courteous, friendly and the boats are always clean. They help you on and off with your gear and have ice on the boat upon request. I own 2 boats in New York and believe me the boat club is far more worry free. In the club there is No maintenance, no repairs to worry about and I dont have to clean the boat when I get done for the day. Boat clubs may not be for everyone however if you want to boat often with no hassles and an overall lower cost than owning I would recommend these guys.

The best boat that I have tried

I am a member in another care free location and ours is great. It is the Charleston location. I used a boat when I was in Miami and there was a problem. It was resolved. Next time I use it I will report back with another review. They have a lot of potential so I am hopping for a great experience next time.

Rip-off would be the most fitting descriptive for this outfit. They took my money, along with monthly dues; however, getting use of a clean and sea-worthy boat was quite a hassle to say the least. Boats were frequently unavailable, regardless of whether reserved or not. When a boat was available, it was often problematic (expired registration, no or insufficient required safety equipment, on-board electronics not working, dead battery, broken prop, dirty boat, etc. Worst was when I caught them playing with my credit card, including charging me for my gas as well as someone elses gas. I had to replace my credit card because of them. If you make the mistake of buying their story, stay safe and dont give them your credit card! After trying to resolve matters with them, I finally gave up even though it meant losing my initiation fee. Bad experience sums it up. Filling in government forms is more pleasure than a membership with carefree boat club, at least as far as my experience with them goes.

I have been a Care Free member for about 7 months now and have no complaints. When comparing the cost per month of owning a boat and what it costs to be a member, there is no comparison, Care Free is the way to go. Each time I get to the dock, a staff member knows who I am and has my boat ready in minutes. They help me load the boat, get ice for the coolers, and the boat is already fueled. There hasnt been any issues with the boats when using them, we have taken the boats both intercoastal and open water and always have a great day.Haulover Sandbar is very close to the marina and Nixon Sandbar in Key Biscayne is only about 25 minutes away in the intercoastal.Brian (The Owner) and his team are great and I would recommend this program to anyone I meet. Having had my own boats in the past, this is definitely the way to go for the recreational boater.
