Beautiful park, full of life and clean. I love to come here and look for interesting mushrooms but very much appreciate the insects as well.

It one of the better small spots in woodbridge,i have been visiting this place for like 7 years and it has progressed and transformed since i first saw it.It is generally quiet and empty other them birdwatchers and fishermen.there are a few odd surprises if you explore enough. I often enjoy a walk tho to see nature or occasionally bring my kayak out here to explore. great spot to take nature photos.

Extremely deserted location. Great experience besides the fact that if God forbid theres an emergency.. good luck.. oh, strange statues in the middle of nowhere was a tad bit creepy.. it was such a neutral experience. Beautiful experience with nature but dont go alone..

If youre a birder, you will like this place. Trails will take you along the edge of the marsh or into a small wooded area. Plenty of good bird habitat.

We are from Utah and we were looking for a nice place to stop and relax to kill some time. I wanted to see some whitetail deer or a turtle. We did see an osprey which was cool. But not deer or turtle

Its great that this tract of land was preserved as a nature reserve. A lot to the surrounding area has been already developed, so its good to have this saved for everyone to enjoy. The best time to come is from mid-spring to early autumn. There are a lot of animals in the area, especially in the swampy pond that can be found in the interior.

Nice until you realize they dont warn you about snakes. Went a couple times and have seen more than a handful once you go over that bridge. Big snakes too. I even brought my kids and our dog there. Never going back.

Doesnt look like it did in the 70s. I grew up right up the road at the trailer park and I have to say that based on the pictures someone did a fantastic job reclaiming this area.

The paths through the park could use some work as the heavy equipment ruts are still visible and can be confused with the overgrown trails. Still, this has been an incredible conservation/reclamation project and all of the groups involved should be proud of the progress thats been made.

A small beautiful restoration and habitat preservation park/project here in Avenel, NJ because of Ernest L. Oros and the many organizations that care to restore some part of the wild life that used to thrive here. This isnt a big place, that is true, but thats okay, if you live close, and like nature, check it out; the secluded area also makes this a nice spot for quiet walks. It is a little gem in the middle of an otherwise poorly kept part of Avenel. It is also an on going project, so more flowers have been planted since the pictures above. A nice place to visit on a sunny day in Summer or Spring to observe all kinds of animals and flowers. Please throw your trash out there are recycling bins in the front. (I seen people litter here)
