Great organization. Ive played on teams in this league since 1996. The only issue Ive ever had is the dearth of proper referees (3 per game). Otherwise, the field maintenance, scheduling, and consistency make AMSA a top 3 league in Texas

Very bureaucratic, with some extremely bad refereeing (and a pathological inability to recognize or correct the problems). Good range of skill levels, with promotion and relegation (although sometimes completely insensible). Some reasonably skilled teams, although not close to what you find in some other areas of the country. They do have (almost monopolistic) access to City of Austin/Travis County fields. NEMP fields are still kind of cow pastures. This organization has clearly been and continues to be a barrier to better soccer in the Austin area - thats clearly not in their charter (or their incompetent at implementing it).

Austin United Rocks! (Over 40A)Fields at Onion Creek are awesome. NEMP and EMP not so much so.....I love the Association and have played for several teams over the last 10 years in both open divisions and now over 40. The level of competition has usually be just right within each division. I would like to see a bylaw requiring at least 10 games a season!

The Austin Mens Soccer Association is the premier mens soccer association in Central Texas and perhaps all of Texas. AMSA plays primarily at the Onion Creek Soccer Complex which is a great facility with wonderful fields. I have been playing in AMSA for over 8 years and have nothing but terrific experiences. I have served on the Executive Committee for 7 of those years and now serve as Vice President. The Executive Committee is made up of the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Senior Commissioner and the commissioner of each division.
