You have to visit this wonderful place, perfect for a date night or a group event! They have several spaces that visually blow your mind. Every room is artistically crafted to expand your horizons. I really loved the Bloom & the Submergence rooms, I would definitely visit again and again! Greatly priced and socially distance safe.

Very exciting, stimulating and interactive. The space is very large which accommodates the art installations. Every piece has its place and every person can personally engage with the art as well as the guests around them. One of my favorite installations was a projection screen that was highly interactive; when a guest approached the piece and their silhouette was caught in the protection of colors, the piece would splash with each movement. The juxtaposition of immense light and bright colors upon the dense solid black of the silhouette was very textual- and fun!!! Guests were swirling and dancing against the light cause swishes and splashes with each movement. The other pretty interesting piece was a VR (virtual reality) dinner. Ill just leave that one for you to experience!! All in all this was a very good gallery to visit with a very interesting curative that will leave you satisfied.

This place is really cool and interactive! Theres several installations and a very cool VR experience! Its amazing how lights can be so alluring and mystical. The mirror exhibit was really neat. I went to wonder Spaces for my birthday and despite having to wear a mask all the time, understandably so, I had a great time. Everything was amazing from check into all of the exhibits. I even thought the quirkiness of it being in a business park to be part of the fun. I highly recommend it for anybody who wants a interactive thought-provoking family fun time.I especially enjoyed the VR experience...Very bone chilling when you read the credits at the end. No “spoiler alert” needed.

My wife and I took our 7 year old son here today. The exhibits were interactive and really cool. The staff was friendly and helpful, willing to answer any questions or provide information about the pieces. There are tablets to fill out the short waver at the entrance or you can scan a qr code and do it on your phone. Very fun way to spend an hour or two.

Sooo cool!! So much fun! Honestly one of the best interactive modern art galleries Ive ever been to. The pieces were interesting and fun and unexpected. Great place for a date or to go with friends or family. Lots of Instagramers taking pics though. 1 to 1.5 hrs total. Must have a reservation.

It’s really not worth the money. Took me 30mins to get through all the exhibits and that was me taking my time(granted I attended solo). I wish it included more art. The artist that did create the pieces in the exhibit are 5Star worthy. I just wish it had more content!

The concepts range from simple displays with huge statements. Others incorporate elements with surprises or technology and a bit of science. As I understand it the exhibits may change. In the last few days of October, they were enjoyably interactive. Theres a way to have fun that stimulates the mind during these days of feeling supressed. Find it here!Environmentally conscious - paperless and contactless. Note that safety practices are strongly enforced and you have to sign a waiver before entering the exhibition. Tickets are purchasable online with allotted time slots for reservations.

Underwhelming experience given the admission price, takes less than 30 minutes to get through and lots of space is underutilized. My expectations were probably on the higher side given that Ive been to the teamLab Borderless exhibit in Japan (please look this up if you havent heard about it, absolutely amazing experience) which was the inspiration for the Wonderspaces Austin. I think it could be a cool spot to hang out at after they get their bar license approved and could also be a pretty cool place for events. They have potential if they continue building out more exhibits and make the experience a bit more interconnected, but I would not recommend visiting in their current state.

I wanted to visit. Have been wanting to for a year. But they require a face mask or shield for those with medical exemptions, for the flu. Some medical exemptions include severe PTSD and a face shield does not aide in that trauma/recovery. Also, 3 year olds are required to wear one. So theyll be touching that bacteria and then touching the exihibits. Enjoy the show!

Not enough art for the price. Not enough hand washing stations to be covid friendly. Everyone was taking their masks off for photos so why even make us wear them lol. Told if we wanted more info on the art and artists to use our phones, which bothers me in art shows or exhibits because Im there to disconnect from my phone. We walked through in less than 30 minutes. The VR story is cool but with how many people are in a tiny room talking you cant hear anything. I will say, if youre an instagram model....this is the place for you.

I came across Wonderspaces several months ago on Instagram and decided to make a pit stop on our way out of Austin. It did not disappoint. I would definitely recommend making a trip to see the VR installation. Every piece in this building was amazing and they are must see experiences while in Austin. Not really sure how many people are allowed in the building at the same time during COVID, we visited during the 12PM time slot on a Wednesday and it was not very busy.

Id have to concur with the previous review. We had one lady stalk us in the restroom and follow us throughout the museum. A second lady did the same as we tried to enjoy the sights. These people are way too concerned with policing the customers, even after taking their temperatures, rather than allowing us to enjoy the art. They then proceeded to tell us that we would have to re-book because our mask kept falling past our noses. Dont waste your time or money on these people. What a waste of a good day.

I had a great time going to this art space. I had no expectations, so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the art pieces there. To people in wheelchairs: There’s art pieces on the first floor, and there’s some on the second floor, but I didn’t notice an elevator. I would call and inquire just to be sure.

A lot of the art pieces are fun and interactive. However, I expected the studio to be a bit more polished for the price. The vibe I got was tiny studio from struggling artist type. Also, some of the art pieces were broken like levitate, and the note wall, half the white rolls were already written in so people didnt read directions. Overall, worth it to drop by.

Honestly... it wasn’t worth the price. they advertise this place to be something way more amazing than it really is. i personally don’t feel like there was enough art pieces in the building, but i also think they let too many people in at a time. it’s hard to get photos and stuff without people walking in the way or making you feel rushed because someone is waiting.

OMG! Such a waste of money and time. I cant even describe how disappointing this was. At best, it was more like a childrens science exhibit. But there was such a lack of imagination, that I wouldnt even suggest it for children. In particular, I found the Last Word exhibit extremely poor and totally and utterly lacking any creativity on the part of the artist. And I found the Dinner Table exhibit to be unsettling and even somewhat disturbing. Save your money for miniature golf! You will have much more fun!

Me and my girlfriend were kicked out for taking off our masks to take a photo. There is already social distancing involved and limited capacity to keep people safe. I don’t understand why we can’t take off our masks for a photo and then put it back on. We are allowed to take off masks to eat at restaurants or take off masks to eat at parks while stationary and not in motion. It’s ludicrous for us to not be able to remain stationary and take our mask off to take a photo while social distancing from others. I understand the need to keep people safe, but please take science into the equation before you kick people out. Even a warning would have been fine, but we didn’t even get that. Will not be visiting again.UPDATE: They gave me a refund

I gave this place 3 stars because it’s definitely overpriced for what you see, but there is some really cool art. I also had an incredibly awkward experience with an employee there. I was taking a photo with someone in my household and nobody was within about 50 ft of us. I took my mask down for the photo and she shot me a look from across the room and I immediately pulled it up but she insisted on walking over and rudely telling me “we will throw you out for that” and then continued glaring at me long after we walked away. It was incredibly unprofessional and immature, especially when you’re paying $25 a head. Definitely took away from the “classy” experience this place is trying to create.

The media on their website and all over social media, as amazing as it all is, doesnt capture the in-person experience of the artworks. Its immersive. For me it was emotional. You really have to come see it, walk in it, and touch it (if youre allowed!). Its effing amazing and I genuinely cant wait until they cycle in another round of installations...and maybe have that bar opened up?!Aug 2020: I, as someone who understands the severity of pandemics, wholly appreciate their stern adherence to face covering requirements and ongoing sanitizing practices. Thanks!

A very small space and no social distancing. Staff was very inconsiderate and unprofessional but this seems to be the norm with California companies that move here. The photos are clearly staged, as the in-person experience was subpar at best. The lack of effort towards the set up of displays was very disappointing and made it feel more like a childrens museum. A refund would have been the only thing that made this experience worth it.

Dont bother! It seems as though the staffs main priority is to follow you around the building watching how youre wearing your mask. Apparently its acceptable to have stringed lights hanging down for everyone to touch, piano keys everyone puts their fingers on, no social distancing, etc., but God forbid you expose your nose for a second to breathe and youll be asked to leave. It’s not really a social distancing/COVID19 integration. We were bummed going because we had heard it was a really large warehouse space, with lots of room for social distancing, plenty of hand sanitizers, and a lot of “rules”/refs for it. The only real thing done was a request at the front desk to wear your mask appropriately. I think the installations were cool, very trendy if you’re looking for a new IG boomerang or pic - but not well spaced out, touch and play is encouraged with many of the displays, and there is an option and main attraction of a 10 minute fully VR dinner party (where they do their best at keeping it sanitary with a couple of hand sanitizer stations and wiping down the VR headsets) that had people (at least in the time slot we went to) very close, touching all the things together, generally disregarding the need for personal space and disrespecting some of the installations that had no touch requests.

I was eager to visit this space but found it overhyped in the marketing, and overcrowded with a complete lack of crowd flow management in the exhibits when I went. You may not want to buy into the Instagram hype of carefully curated photos, the space and exhibits themselves are basic, and even less immersive when you are there in person. If any member of staff is reading this, the exhibit with the balls that move when they sense a human presence had malfunctioning pieces that wouldn’t react anymore. In regards to COVID, no one was maning the space to control the social distance recommendations of six feet. It felt like a “squeeze” of humans gathered in one space, becoming chaotic at times. To interact with the exhibit where people wrote and reading private thoughts was out of the question. Granted, I arrived around 5pm on Friday but that is even more of a reason to bring on additional hands to prevent a COVID hotspot from transpiring. The building itself is nothing to shout home about, it’s an office space in the middle of nowhere, and the exhibits weren’t well installed. You could see light coming from behind the curtain that wasn’t pulled completely shut in the first light exhibit. This had potential but fell short with lights not lighting up at times, and their length too short with their distance between one another too far apart imho. If you want a truly digital immersive experience, I will save you the disappointment and tell you this isn’t it. If you want to see art in a mixed media format, somewhat interact with it on a rudimentary scale, that’s what it is.At times during my visit, there was too much of the supporting structure (background noise) that showed up due to the materials used, and other times, not enough (e.g negative space) to block out the light. This is partly an issue with the design setup, and also the materials chosen were just more apparent visually, instead of blending into the surroundings when they could provided a more refined experience. There’s a lot of potential to be better the next round. And as a last point, the ticket prices are very high for the quality of the experience. They’re charging $24 plus tax with too little attention to detail while Teamlab, the world’s most visited single artist museum in Japan, with amazing digital art charges $10 in Asia.
