If you or your kid is really into hockey, this is the best place in Austin to get on the ice. They have two rinks, and all they do is hockey.No figure skating or disco nights. No Hokey-Pokey. They do Hockey.The place is run by passionate people, and they offer classes, drop-in games, league games and youth hockey.We were able to enroll our son in the Future Stars program, and they offered all of the gear and four weeks of 30 min lessons on the ice just to see if he liked it. Hes hooked now.Great place. Go check it out!

Enjoy coming here to watch my SOs hockey games. They have temperature controlled lounges with comfy chairs to hang out in while watching the games. The lounges are closed due to COVID but theyre still allowing spectators to hang out along the glass. My SO has been playing hockey here for years and really enjoys it. Theyre also dog friendly!

This is a well kept hockey rink and is in a great location.

Adaptive hockey available! They provide sled hockey! It was such a great experience for my son who is on a wheelchair and my oldest son who also got involved.

Love playing in adult league here. Great rinks, easy access, and Austin Beer Works is right next door.

Awesome Hockey spot, great Ice and awesome staff

Beer League is absolute trash. Players are toxic and dont seem to understand its about having fun. They will play dirty and hurt other players when they cant match them in skill. I would never recommend this place to anybody.

Really enjoy playing in a league here. Always clean and friendly staff.Only downsides are that the rink could be colder and the ice is really soft. Sometimes during public stick and puck sessions people who are giving private lessons feel that they are entitled to a solid section of the ice.

Great place for hockey!!

Its always clean, staff is nice. Leagues have towels for showers. Ice is well maintained and good quality.This is a hockey only venue. Must have a stick, helmet, gloves, and skates to be permitted on the ice.Lots of league times, stick and puck practice times, drop in games. Players are friendly.This is a more relaxed and friendly vibe than other rinks in town.

This is a great place to skate, and the Texas State Bobcats hockey club home ice! Staff are very friendly, and always helpful. I took some photos here of the Texas State vs. UT game. Great event. Great venue!

Im so stoked that Austin now has a truly 1st class hockey rink. Ive seen so few in the country that can compare to what weve got here, and thats awesome!

Great ice arenas, very comfortable warm rooms. If your kids are in between 3 and 14 and you enjoy hockey, you should consider enrolling them in one of the learn to play programs available here!

Fantastic facility for hockey players and their families. Two rinks with pond being 3/4 size and barn being full size. Both have warm rooms for the less artic parents to watch the game. Restrooms are nice and clean. Pro shop is limited to tape, sticks, and sharpening skates. Austin beer company is next door and great place to visit between games.

I love playing hockey at the Pond. Great staff, good ice, good ref’s. I have been playing every season at the Pond for 3 and a half years. I love playing every Thursday. My work and personal schedule have every Thursday blocked off so I can make the games.As of the 10/2017 season they changed up the league. Gone are the random Saturdays that everyone hated. They have also lowered the price.If you are reading this then you might not know many players had issues with the scheduling in prior seasons. The Pond has listened to their players and changed it for the better. You dont know how refreshing it is to have a good business that works to better themselves based on their customers wants and needs. Good job Pond Hockey Club!!!!

Really cute rink, more modern than others I’ve been to. The warm room is so nice and really big. The rink is very well lit and there is tons of space to stand around the edges and watch. The staff were very friendly and it felt like we were treated like regulars.

The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They just underwent an awesome expansion and now have a full sheet as well as the original pond-size rink. Both rinks boast nice, comfortable, warm-rooms from which to watch games. And having Austin Beerworks next door makes for a perfect pairing!

Great sheet of ice. Not a full sheet but well taken care of. The mens league is great. The rules are pond rules so it keeps it very fast paced with more action. They offer pond time often which is always stick and puck.

Great place for hockey. Helpful staff and everything is very clean. The website is really easy to register and pay for your ice time.

This is the best place to play adult hockey in Austin. Much better management than Chaparral. Ice is well taken care of.

Best place for hockey

Ive been playing at the pond for a year and a half now, and I couldnt imagine going anywhere else. Facilities are great, and Im excited for the expansion. The leagues and players and staff are all top notch.

Ive Been playing here since it opened with a small 3/4 rink and they have recently opened a full sheet with a cozy watching room above. The staff is great and the ice is always hockey ready which allows for flexability with schedules if you need to get an extra stretch in during the week. Theres something truly special about a place dedicated to hockey and not public skating. The community is very tight and it often feels like a small family. Plus. Who really likes public skating anyway? One direction only. Slow speeds only. No sticks! Too many rules! Well not at this place! Im proud to be a oart of it!
