Walden is an oasis! I felt peaceful and serene as soon as I set foot inside this beautiful architectural achievement! The gardens abound and are tended with care. The suites are beautiful and thoughtfully appointed so that every need and want is available with ease. The service staff are kind and attentive and respectful. We feel well served while our privacy is respected.The breakfast that is included with the room is luxurious and delicious. The culinary staff is strong.This is a wonderful value and just the place to be restored when rest and relaxation are in order to restore balance and peace.

Stayed here with my wife for our honeymoon, was the greatest experience. The food the service the cleanliness of the rooms was all unbelievable!! Such a great time!!!! The turn down service with a bottle of champagne was amazing. You have to stop at the spa if possible!!

This place is excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond to make your stay truly special. The inn would be beautiful during the fall with all the colorful foliage. I highly recommend doing a spa and stay package. This was my first time getting a massage and it was well worth it. The spa is unreal. Check in and coordination with spa times, dinner, etc was a breeze. The rooms are fabulous albeit a little outdated, and the honor bar selection is a nice touch. Dont worry about driving to dinner as they have a SUV chauffeur pick you up to take you to the barn. Breakfast was decent. I will definitely be staying here again.Negatives: I will say, the beds and pillows arent that comfortable. Consider updating those. Also when we arrived, there was no one at the front door to hold it open, take our bags, valet, etc. Ive stayed at 3 star hotels that offer those types of services and would most definitely expect it from a 5 star hotel.

My husband and I have been to Walden several times. We always have a wonderful time and are sad when we have to leave. Its a close getaway to relax and reconnect.

Walden is absolutely beautiful. The whole entire staff is amazing and the spa is excellent. I got a massage from Donna and it was one of the most excellent massages I have ever gotten. The food is delicious and there’s a wide variety. They even had options for my cousin who is vegan and it was amazing. The area is great I highly recommend Walden Inn and spa.

Absolutely gorgeous property. The personal service and level of amenities is beyond top tier! The spa experience surpassed all of our expectations, this was pampering at its best. The room was immaculate and anything we needed was provided almost instantly. This place is litteraly straight out of a romance movie In my book The Inn and Spa Walden is a 5 star resort spa that should be featured on every travel website and everyone, whether your single, married, in a new relationship or need to getaway by yourself to refuel... should make this a must visit location...We will be back

I’ve stayed at the inn. Breathtaking! The pictures online don’t do it justice. The best kept secret around. No place like it. The service is 5-star. Very attentive to detail. As my husband and I were walked to our room we were told the history. Very personable staff.I received a tour and I was just amazed at how beautiful, clean, modern, and peaceful it was. Privacy is important- in the spa suites, lobby bathrooms. It’s just so comfortable. I can’t wait to go back and experience the spa suites for a romantic tranquil day with my husband.

Everything about Walden Inn and Spa is exquisite!! My husband and I stayed there at the hotel and it was so beautiful and the service was amazing! Not to mention the delicious food!! The spa is not like anything you’ve ever been to with the personal suites and I had the best massage of my entire life!!

Walden is our favorite secret getaway for world class spa treatments. They have never disappointed and it is a memorable experience from start to finish. We have had large parties to simple overnight stays and we always wish we could stay longer in the relaxing atmosphere. You definitely need to try Walden if you havent already. Just dont tell too many people as we want to keep it a secret!

A wonderful retreat. You feel that you’re in a different world but less than an hour from Downtown Cleveland. My wife and I have stayed there often when visiting family nearby or coming in for a Browns game. And it has become a destination of its own.Like nothing else we’ve ever experienced. The high ceilings, smell of wood, and spacious rooms.More special than the best hotels in Chicago. We recommend it highly.

Absolutely wonderful. Could not rate this Inn high enough; gorgeous rooms with everything you could want (fireplace, in-room dining, spa etc). The layout is absolutely stunning, the property itself is gorgeous, staff were lovely. Its perfect for a wedding, a weekend away, anything romantic basically. Loved it in the winter and summer, and its basically 5 star all the way.

I’ve been a member of Spa Walden for 3 years and love it. I get my hair done at the salon and utilize the spa services regularly. I highly recommend. The Spa suites are amazing and there are options for everyone. The Vichy Wrap is one of my faves.

We have stayed at Walden several times and the experience was first rate. However we felt that our last visit was just a bit less than great. Some face lifting is needed to freshen up the suites. Our room was in need of a paint job and in places was dusty. Not thoroughly cleaned.

A very special place. Went for a girls trip and we all loved it. 2 bedroom/2 bathroom suite was perfect. Sitting area with fireplace was a great place to hang out, enjoy our room service champagne, and all the little extras that make Walden such a wonderful place.

My wife and I visited to see the rooms and spa for when her parents come to visit. The staff and rooms were nice and everyone was very helpful. The rooms themselves are nice and you can see they much have been great when it was built but now they are starting to show their age a bit and could use some updates. The Spa seemed more up to date and is rated as one of the best in the state. Seems like one of the best options in the area for sure.

My husband and I received a gift certificate package for a wedding gift. We stayed overnight, and enjoyed a fabulous dinner at The Barn. The food and staff were over the top amazing. Our critique comes to the room. There is no way that room should have been priced at $500+ per night. Several of the overhead lights did not work, including the one in the shower, so we had to shower in the dark. In the bathroom, there was dust and stuff in the corners, the baseboards were dinged up and chipped. The paint on the towel bar was chipped away. While the grounds are beautiful, and the food is delicious we were incredibly disappointment in the room.

Employee wearing rosary (Nate maybe?) is extremely offensive. Has a very negative and cocky attitude not only towards guests, but towards his coworkers too! It’s sad to see a company allowing someone to act that way towards its guests and other employees. Makes me wish I would’ve stood up for the poor girl. Especially since I could tell the girl was of higher authority! Please keep your beliefs, young man but do not treat others poorly for not thinking the same way. Sad. Truly disappointing.

Our Northeastern Ohio home away from home. Great accommodations, great friendly service, and great location to visit our friends from Cleveland, Akron, and Canton. In the country but minutes from highways leading wherever you need to go.

As usual the Walden is one of the most peaceful get always you can possibly treat yourself to. The staff always goes above and beyond your expectations. We have to stay there at least once a year just to unwind and reset. One of the best luxury hotels you will find in Ohio. Your own private movie theater, best breakfast imaginable and a shuttle service to an incredible dinner at The Barn. Our favorite package is the stay 4 nights.

Would like to say that, first of all, we have been visiting Walden for many years & dont usually write reviews. My husband & I stayed there for our honeymoon night before leaving on our trip the next morning 20 years ago. We were treated like royalty & were in awe of the beauty & serenity of Walden itself. We continue to enjoy visiting to celebrate our marriage. However, I must say that the suite we recently visited in December (which we have stayed in before-Ste.6) was in need of some TLC. Cobwebs above the fireplace, broken toilet seats, & a strange stain on the loveseat is not worth the price even with the beautiful surroundings. Our suite felt like it needed some updating with fresh furnishings & paint as well. We did enjoy as usual, the spacious suite size with its cozy fireplace setting & delicious breakfast.The staff was welcoming and the public areas were beautifully decorated for the holidays. We hope to return & maybe try a pyramid style suite next time which we have enjoyed in the past as well.

What a beautiful experience...from the time we walked in the door until our departure we were pampered! The ENTIRE STAFF is absolutely amazing. The Spa was a perfect start to our much needed wind down, afterwards a peaceful setting by the fireplace. The Restaurant provided the perfect dining experience from the pre-cocktails, appetizers, salads, entrees accompanied with wine and finally a chocolate decadent desert.Thank you to Manny & Bonnie Barenholtz for creating such a WONDERLAND!!!

Hands down this is the best country club I have ever been too. Mainly the staff are very friendly and very interested in their work. Their golf course is amazing and mainly Dominic Chiarella was a excellent golf instructor. I would recommend this to anyone.

After having a very wonderful experience at the Walden Inn when it first opened had taken advantage of a promotion that needed to be rescheduled due to a travel conflict and was not allowed to rebook without losing my entire deposit of $1012.00! That is tragic to not be able to rebook my trip without paying an additional $1000.00, so hopefully my deposit goes to good use for property maintenance. Sad to say, I will not be returning since they had no understanding or customer service attitude.

Our cousin had a wedding here, the event was very pretty and the staff was great. The only major complaint was that the steaks at dinner were not evenly cooked, my girlfriends was much less done than mine but both were supposed to be medium rare. The hors doeuvre were delicious and catered very well.

The Inn is a serene experience that is unlike most overnight stays that you will have. The layout of each room makes you feel at home, the hospitality is superb, and the staff is friendly.

Our stay at Inn Walden was the best hotel/motel/resort stay ever, thanks in part to the accommodations, but mainly to the care provided by Jaci. We have stayed at the Greenbriar, the Lodge at Pebble Beach, the Broadmoor, the American Club and Aviara among other luxury resorts, but our Inn Walden experience was the best.Jaci welcomed us, logged us in, brought in our bags, served our cocktails and appetizers, was gracious and helpful with our plan for the stay. She introduced us to the architect who happened by at our cocktail hour and he graciously and enthusiastically gave us a tour of the Spa. Jaci even accommodated our request for an early take-out breakfast before our departure. The highlight was the turn down service, complete with rose petals, a rose and candy, a dozen or so candles and a bottle of wine. The service was most exceptional and never presented at any other resort (without request or additional cost). I suspect this treat is a small expense to the resort (and me) but is one with a hundred fold in customer delight and satisfaction.When I thanked Jaci for her service, she said she listened to us talk about other golf resorts we stayed at and said she wanted our stay at the Inn Walden to be the best , and it was. She listened and delivered! Her service should be the gold standard at Inn Walden and every other resort.

Magical and Perfect in Every Way I needed a last minute getaway as I was scheduled for a weekend relaxation/solitude retreat at another location, but it got canceled on me due to low attendance and I was fortunate enough to have my husband suggest this place. Karen in the spa was AMAZING. She helped me to arrange the MOST incredible retreat for myself. My intention was a healing weekend after suffering the loss of my grandmother and this was truly a perfect getaway. I started my journey with yoga with Candace and it was fabulous. My spa suite was so relaxing and I had champagne and a cheese plate to enjoy while there. My facial and massage with Daisy were both just what i needed. Upon check in to my pyramid suite there was Christmas music playing and a fire going with my belongings tucked safely and neatly inside. My dinner reservation at the Barn was made for me and I chose to accept the shuttle over and my driver was very friendly. The chef at the Barn made me special accommodation for my vegetarian preference and it was really exactly what I was hoping for. The bartender made unique drink selections for me and I thoroughly enjoyed every sip. Turndown service was awesome and I appreciated the champagne to have a glass and enjoy in the nice jacuzzi tub.The next morning I started my day with a perfect yoga with Cara and it was a beautiful practice with a lovely playlist. I had a phenomenal Ayurvedic consult with Candace and I would highly recommend it! The crystal healing attunement with Hope was extraordinary and I loved every minute of it.I enjoyed a spa lunch and saw a coyote right outside the window while i was having lunch! Tea in the library was so nice and the Christmas decorations throughout the resort were so gorgeous.This was the most perfect healing and relaxing weekend I could have ever had and it is all thanks to Karen for designing this entire getaway for me. She was just such a wonderful person and I am so very happy I listened to my husband and called to make a reservation here. I will be back and bring him with me for our anniversary or Valentines Day.This place is as close to heaven on earth as I can imagine. You dont want to miss this unique and exquisite opportunity. Dear Walden Family,Where to even begin…This has been the most incredible stay and experience I think my husband and I have ever had. Ranking right up there with going to an amazing hotel in Saint Lucia for our Honeymoon…staying in hotels in Manhattan NY, Los Angeles CA, and some amazing hotels in Arizona, I truly have to say, this has been the best over all experience of them. There are no words to describe the beauty of the property…it is a perfect blend of country-side meets luxury. Every space offers a delightful sense of welcomeness but privacy at the same time. The amenities are wonderful, the food is outstanding, and the Spa: truly top of the line and one of a kind. The rooms (aka: suites) are such a pleasant layout–I didn’t even want to leave our room. I walked daily around the property and to the awesome clubhouse/pool which is the perfect distance away. My Spa experience was the best I’ve ever had…we live in San Diego and La Costa Resort and Spa is ranked very highly, I know…The Walden blew them away. The individual suits are genius and lend to unwinding before the service even begins in a way I’ve never experienced. My therapist Nikki did such a wonderful job (I’m embarrassed to say, but I was so relaxed I caught myself snoring a few times!) My pedicure was so pleasant–the quality of work and care of all the staff here has been beyond 5-star…I’ve never been in a hotel/facility where so many things were “possible”, I don’t think a single thing I asked for was met with an answer other than, “of course” or “happy to help”. Walden is a hidden gem, and we will be telling everyone we know about how incredible the whole time here has been.
