I call this marvelous restaurant from time to time because I like the ambiance that is unique to this place. The team is awfuly helpful and experienced. The service is impressively quick. Most important, the food you eat is excellent. I frequent more than once and I was never disappointed. The pay is decent. I suggest this restaurant to to all.

Ikes is such fun. Its an ice cream, hot dog, arcade place! The owner is super friendly and so are the staff! They have a special going on about the tokens where you buy more tokens you get a percentage more! 20 bucks will get you like, 120 tokens if i remember correctly! The ice cream is fab, the hot dogs to die for when the service amazing. They also have candy for sale like dirt cheap. We will be coming back soon!

Top notch! The Italian beef sandwich is so filling. The bread is soft and soaks up the Au Ju perfectly. Their hot dogs are phenomenal as well. A true taste of Chicago and the owner brings that Midwest hospitality. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. We are customers for life after 1 visit.

We love this shop! All the employees are super nice. They have great food and ice cream at great prices. And the arcade is fun and a huge hit with the kids. We started going here right after I had my daughter and I was dairy free to feed her and this was the only place that had dairy free ice cream- and it didn’t taste horrible like other dairy free ice cream has. Now 3 years later we stop buy for ice cream and fun after each visit to the park. My 3 year old will play at the park and then beg to go for ice cream. Definitely a great little shop!

It was great. My husband said that he really liked the Italian beef sandwich. It was really good. I got the dark cherry icecream cone. It was fantastic. We will return soon.

I personally didnt care for the Italian beef sandwich but my husband did. The Chicago dog was very good and the ice cream is to die for. The nutty nutty sundae was delicious.

What a great place to eat! I had two Chicago Dogs with no sport peppers. The hot dogs were the perfect temperature and the relish , tomatoes, and pickles were chilled....delicious. The owner was super engaging and fun to chat with! Be sure to check it out!!

We took our daughter to the park where she noticed this place and asked for ice cream so we took her and werent disappointed. The ice cream is delicious they have lots of options you can build any flavor topping combo you want even on banana splits. The service was well the best in town this is actually the first good review Ive been able to post in Auburndale! The older man Im assuming hes the owner was very friendly and patient more like a family member than a business man he was very attentive and excited to have us sample his wares specially his adult flavors. Theres an arcade inside with a decent little selection of games. Its a hidden little gem were glad we discovered and well be making it one of our usual spots to visit!

Honestly i remember seeing this place empty for years as a kid, by the time ikes was founded I was almost too old for the arcade...but no one could ever be too old for the great food at good prices and the delicious ice cream they have in this tiny little gem. Combine that with great atmosphere and a loving owner makes it a great quick stop for anyone.

Great place. fun and friendly. theres an arcade on the side of it that has its own ticket machine that you choose from like a vending machine. they have food and many flavors of ice cream.

A nice place to eat and enjoy some arcade games, they serve some tasty hotdogs my personal favorite is the one with coleslaw. they also have a nice variety of sodas aside from the big brands.they are also conveniently nearby the Auburndale park so if you get hungry they are practically a hop an skip away.

I miss having an arcade where I used to live ever since I moved here its been nice to have Ikes around,The owners are really nice and Ive now lived here in auburndale for about 4 years now and Ive gone to Ikes at least 100 times.And after playing games you can get a vanilla malt shake or strawberry cheesecake ice cream.Ikes is a really awesome place to go to when you got free time and want to have a good time. Bring your friends and family too.

Great atmosphere with awesome arcade games with great food!!!! I live out of town and anytime I am even remotely near Ikes, I always make my way to have something to eat there. Owners name is Dan, good people!

We have an autistic child and the management if not the owners were having a meeting in the customer seating area and were giving nasty looks. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone with younger children especially if they have a learning disability.

We will definitely continue bringing the baby here. I love the food too. The spicy roast beef sub was amazing. The prices are great. Im going to tell everyone about this place.

Stopped in to get a dog, as a dear uncle who recently past away loved this place. Clearly family owned and operated, this place is a gem. My Chicago dog was made perfectly to order (with extra sports and relish) and the dog was hot and fresh with that perfect Vienna “pop” when you bite into it. Delicious! The owner chatted at our table for several minutes and you could see how much he cared about his customers and the quality of his food. Definitely will be back next time I’m in town.

Great atmosphere, the owner is kind and is very friendly. The ice cream is good, the food is good. This place is a great break from the Auburndale park and Florida heat.

This is a great place to get the Italian beef Samich but for me, I would get the buffalo chicken samich called the Mark. But if you really want to have fun, talk to Dan, the guy is just north of crazy. Just kidding, great place to have fun and great food, just don’t stare Dan in the eyes.

Love this place. Ice cream is delicious and great prices. The arcade machines are outdated but still lots of fun. Right across the park. Excellent alternative to take the kids; enjoy ice cream and then to the park to burn some energy.

My girlfriend is from Chicago and gets homesick pretty often. This place is a great place to cure it. It also helps me get by on my Italian beef cravings. Dont drive to Brandon to go to portillos its a waste of gas. Come to this little gem on downtown Auburndale instead if you need a polish or beef fix! Also has a great selection of bottled drinks! Theres a place in Darien, IL I go to every time Im up there and they have beefs and red cream soda so ikes helps me feel like Im back up north :)

My Wife and I just returned from a trip to Chicago. The goal was to see the sights and visit family. I had my own agenda: To try Chicago style beef sandwiches and Vienna beef hot dogs. We ate at Buona, Als, Bos, and Jaenickes.None, not one, came close to the quality of Ikes here in Auburndale. Simply the best eight miles from my front door. We flew 1175 miles to eat authentic Chicago food, only to come right back home to get them done right.You cant beat the value, hospitality, and the utter perfection which is Ikes.

Jack Browns Seaplane Base is one of the most efficient and fun places to pursue a Seaplane pilot rating. The add-on course is scheduled for two days, but be prepared before you arrive (the staff is helpful in providing you the materials youll need to study up prior to arrival. Its incredibly fun to learn to fly off water, but take the course seriously; The examiners are very serious about their job and you will be taxed to some extent during the course.

The owner is absolutely fantastic. He politely greeted us into his establishment . Offered free samplings of the ice cream I desired . The ice cream was actually astounding , way better then the shake shoppe. My friend got the western dog and it taste amazing as well. Everything is fresh, nothing is fake here. The owner and his wife run the establishment as legitimately as possible . Very respectful.

It was a great visit tonight. We had the baseball team party there. Everyone was so nice there and the kids had fun! It was very clean and friendly. Food, ice cream and drink decent priced and tasted great. We will be back!!

We give 5 stars, not because this is a full serve restaurant, but for the quality of authentic Chicago food. The Italian beef sandwich was awesome with a nice au-jus for dipping. We like spicy so we asked the owner to put hot peppers on it and it was fabulous. The beef was all lean and tender and we learned that all meat products are shipped to the restaurant from Chicago. My wife and i split the sandwich then ordered hot dogs. She had a chili-dog and I had an authentic Chicago dog. These hot dogs are also shipped from Vienna meats in Chicago and they were awesome, providing the snap you should get from a natural casing hot dog. She said the chili-dog was the best ever and my Chicago dog was authentic down to the hot sports pepper and the neon green relish that you cannot get any other place in Polk County. The ice creams are made in South Florida and are fantastic...best coconut fudge & praline ever! The owner/managers are friendly and focused on customer satisfaction. Restaurant and bathrooms are very clean. The window tables provide a nice view of the downtown Auburndale park. If you have kids there is a nice arcade inside the restaurant. This is our first visit but it wont be our last. Wish we had known about Ikes before now.

I dont often write reviews, but when I do its usually because Im feeling very strong emotions about a place.....and I feel fantastic emotions about this place! I was expecting a semi-decent hot dog place when I first walked in, and was utterly surprised when I tasted the delicious Italian beef sandwich. I loved it so much, I came back the next day and ate it again, and I never do that! On top of the amazingly delicious food, the owners are very nice down to earth and personable, and will often take the time to chat with you at your table....and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this place! We need more mom and pop style shops in the world, and this one is a shining example of a restaurant that can make amazing high quality food and still have competitive prices.

I was at the park with my wife and children and we looked across the street and seen a nice hot dog and ice cream shop,we went over and ate and got some ice cream,the food and ice cream was great and priced well,we loved it and the people working there was nice we will definitely be back.I struck up a conversation with the owner and his wife about how I loved there business they were very kind and respectful,good people and great business... I love this place! I enjoy taking my son here and playing pac-man and deal or no deal. Mr. Dan is a super nice guy!!! I find it very rude for people to come in, bring outside food and drinks when theres a HUGE sign on the door that says, NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS! Also allowing their children to continuously take candy. This is not a free candy store for your kids to take from this hard working man. Keep up the awesome job Mr. Dan!!! The place was clean with some of the best food I have had in a while. It was great to see a good mix of both old and new games in the adjoining arcade. The prices are very reasonable and the salted caramel ice cream and peanut butter blast ice creams are phenomenal! We may have found our new weekly stop!

When I first walked in I was amazing by the soda cooler full of root beer. I had never seen that much root beer before. Ever.This past time when I walked in, I noticed that this place not only has all of that root beer and ice cream, but a full blown arcade. I have no idea how I missed this the first time!I had the superman ice cream. Its good and will turn your face blue :D
