Open to the public but a private club quality. Great condition and nice challenging layout. Food is very good and you can tell the chef really has pride in what he serves. The bar and course staff is very good and attentive. The owners are really giving a lot for what you give them. Highly recommended!

We were there for a banquet. They ran out of food with 3 tables (about 30 people) still to go. We were told there was a “slow down in the kitchen”. BS. About 1/2 hour later we were served. Cold pasta with canned tomato sauce, boiled chicken with no flavor. The steamed broccoli was the best part. The other guests got stuffed shells. We were offered a free drink. We were drinking water, not helpful. The response I got was “I just work here.”

I was looking forward to visiting Martindale Country Club tonight to see a well-known conservative speaker. But you couldnt be an impartial venue. You canceled. According to news reports, you received a few comments that didnt like the speaker. So what, they dont have to come.

This course is fantastic, great staff and great facility. The course is in great shape and will challenge your level of talent, with its hilly and narrow design it makes you a better golfer playing the course. Nick the pro, goes the extra mile in every way making your needs his own, and Jim day the owner is a fantastic people person and is their for each and every member and guest. All around 5 star club for dinning, golf, and sales.

I had my wedding at Martindale in 2012. The location and price were perfect for our budget. We went to the meal tasting and the food was fantastic and a great portion for your dollar. At the actual wedding over 60 guests were served a cold or ice cold meal. The portions were 1/2 the size of what we were originally shown and the beef was a completely different cut. Martindale had the opportunity to right their wrong but chose to ignore us. My recommendation if you are to have a wedding at Martindale is to bring in your own caterer or go somewhere else.

I think that the reviews supplied below about Martindale Country Club are completely untrue. A couple years ago, Jeremy and I searched all over Lewiston-Auburn for a place to have our dream wedding reception; one that had beauty inherit in its location through trees and scenery, and also a space inside to illuminate our fine details and guests. When we stumbled upon Martindale CC (through many recommendations from family and friends), and so nicely greeted by Mike Williams, we instantly fell in love. It was the perfect place for our large rehearsal dinner luau (of 50 people!) and reception (of 120 people). After doing both our rehearsal dinner and reception with Martindale Country Club, we are confident that it is a top-notch facility for weddings in New England for its grounds, service, and overall experience. This was the review of many of our closest family, and a strong review from my father--who is VERY picky about service and food. Mike Williams was a man of detail, and made sure that he understood how we wanted our dream wedding at Martindale to be. There were a LOT of fine details between the rehearsal dinner, which was a traditional Vietnamese ceremony, and the reception, and at no point, did we doubt Martindales ability to give us the experience we wanted. During the planning of the wedding, Mike made a usually stressful process exceptionally smooth and well-refined. He and staff worked diligently the week of the wedding to organize everything to make our dream wedding come to life. Every guest commented on how phenomenal the food was. The accommodations made for children and for the vegetarians who attended, made Martindale not only a place to celebrate a beautiful marriage, but to dine as well. We could not have picked a better place. If you are interested in Martindale CC and want to know the experiences of a real bride, I am more than willing to speak with you. I do not want work for Martindale, I am just extremely pleased with the experience we had with them and hope that other brides choose Martindale.

Just had our wedding and ceremony at this facility along with the rehearsal dinner. The entire staff met or exceeded our expectations throughout the entire event. Mike Williams, the Function coordinator, is amazing. He takes care of everything and makes you feel like you can relax and enjoy the event. The food was some of the best I have had at any catered event. Their chef is really easy to work with and will do most anything for you. His entrée selection for our rehearsal dinner was great and the food was comparable to the best restaurants in Portland. The ceremony outside was perfect. Beautiful setting and perfect day. None of our guests had to drive anywhere after the ceremony and just went upstairs to the banquet room or on to the great deck for some cocktails. One of the hidden benefits of having the event there was the pictures that we could take on the golf course. From the rapids in the background off of the 13th tee, to the rock wall and fescue grass that just made for great pictures. The kids had an amazing time and will have memories forever.I cant say enough good things and highly recommend anyone getting married in the L/A or Portland area to use Martindale Country Club. It is by far the best that we researched in this area and beyond.

My daughter had her wedding at Martindales this past August. We had expected everything to be perfect. My daughter and I had met with Mike Williams 2 years before the event and in that time they had communicated numerous times and was assured that he would oversee everything to make sure it would be perfect. Should have realized from the beginning when he blew off the first meeting with the groom, claiming it was incorrect on his calendar. The week of the wedding, my daughter asked for a meeting so finalize the decorations and time line for the event. He introduced briefly his assistant and went over details for the ceremony and rehearsal dinner. The day before the wedding everything started to go wrong. Martindales kept changing the grooms party tee time till there was almost no time to play. (This was the MAIN reason for choosing this venue). When I called to speak with Mike, I was told he was gone for the weekend. Not once did he tell us that he would not be there. Found out later it was for a reunion of some sort that I know what not created on the spur of the moment. His assistant showed up at the rehearsal dinner in short shorts and flip flops - very professional. The wedding day was a mass of confusion. No one knew what to do we got direction from the assistant. She was not aware of the many details that were discussed over the last 2 years. People were charged for drinks when they were not suppose to. Wait staff was rude to guests and they through out handmade tokens for the guest. The 3 options of cake were not offered - most expensive specialty cake was not even cut into. At least half of the expensive decorations were not even put up. I tried multiple times communicating with Martindales and they would not return my call until I said I would go to the Better Business Bureau. They had the opportunity to attempt to make things right but never did. When searching for venues, we actually had another in mind that was much more beautiful and accommodating but choose Martindales for the reassurance from Mike Williams that he would be there from start to finish. To be told the day before the wedding that he bailed was very inconsiderate. We paid a high price for his services and then never got them. Martindales was to cheap to make this right.
