Was up in Cortland for my sons freshman orientation, and came with my younger son and our dogs. Had found this place when looking for dog friendly activities and brought everybody the last day we were upstate. The weather was overcast but the forecast said it was going to clear in afternoon so we drove the additional 45 minutes up. When we got there it was CLOSED for inclement weather! But there was a sign with a number so I took a chance a called. Audrey answered and said they had sent people home cause it has drizzled some but she came back herself and opened up for us! Literally the definition of going above and beyond! We had a great time and the dogs had quite an experience! It was great and I couldn’t be happier with the service, the scenery, and the opportunity to do something like this with both my kids and my dogs!!!

Absolutely FIRST CLASS SERVICE from the staff here who let us test the waters with how our dogs would react to kayaking before taking the plunge. Sorry for the puns, but honestly the service was outstanding.

Enjoyable low traffic attraction, nice staff, clean new bathrooms before you check in, minimal parking and kayak fees. They do not sell sunscreen, so make sure to bring your own, bring water, and zip lock bag for your cell but they also provide a plastic container if you need.. Site provides life jackets with zipped pocket where you can keep your cell, keep your ID car keys etc with management. Water clear blue, a few yachts and skijets passing buy and add wakes, overall calm pretty deep blue water, good activity, have single or double kayak, good for beginner and Love the deep green trees on the sides, pretty coloring and great Weekend activity. Open till labor day. Staff is nice and welcoming. Staff let us used the life jackets even after returning the kayaks without any extra charges... The location is also extremely beautiful!!!

First time kayaking experience and it was really really amazing. They have different options for Kayaks and their pricing is also affordable. Staff is very helpful and supportive.

Forever my favorite place to go. Take a paddle on the lake. Take a whole group of friends and float among the motor boats that hang out on the sandbar. Bring the kids! They have kids kayaks and kids paddleboards for them to paddle their own boat....or you can tow them behind you! Try paddleboarding, it really is much easier than it appears! If you have back or shoulder issues, they have kayaks called Hobies that you can paddle with your feet! The staff are all certified paddleboard instructors and are really friendly and helpful! They do a great job at giving a quick lesson, free with rental. Remember to look at the horizon, not at your feet
