This was a nice date for me and my girlfriend. The prices were reasonable and the theater was empty and quiet. The air conditioning was turned down and watching a movie with a soda in my hand and a girl around me arm really left me feeling refreshed after a hot day.I also really like the layout and design of this place. Its super attractive and makes me think of nastalgic trips to see a movie as a kid.

Go somewhere else, wish I drove a bit further with the family. During the ads no video, just audio should have been sign to leave, then previews played like it was playing in 3d which went on for about 20 minutes until we finally got management to stop it completely and say they would try and fix it which they couldn’t. Paid online with about a 20% processing fee which manager said she couldn’t refund and I’d have to call corporate. Concessions understaffed, too much and for half the basic items there are no prices posted so you stand there asking if they have a kid combo and how much and how much regular popcorn not large size, etc. Place is run down, service is terrible in general and I was not happy management wouldn’t refund the full amount we paid. If you pay to advertise your business before previews you should receive a credit or just quit advertising here as they aren’t giving you what you’re paying for.

Bathrooms were disgusting. Looks like someone had been shaving pubic hair in the stall I entered. Feces and what looked like blood on the toilet. Drink machines were all out of different drinks. Dirty area where you can put on salt and butter to popcorn. Movie screen was dirty and damaged in places. Sat through about a half hour of trailers after the movie was supposed to start. Would not go back if it was free.

My wife and I went to see Ford versus Ferrari last week… We thought we get a medium popcorn before we went into the show so I ordered a medium… It was $8.25! Our tickets were eight dollars apiece! We will never be buying any food or drink in that place again! Other than that, everything was good…

Part of the AMC stars rewards program which is a great deal if you live close by and go to the movies frequently. Especially love the Dolby theater! The only negative thing is the freshness of the popcorn during the week. We try to avoid the popcorn Monday-Thursday evenings. Tastes a lot fresher on the weekends. Weve had issues with getting burnt and stale popcorn during the week days, but the Bavarian pretzel is a great alternative!

Really good sound in theater, nice big screens and the concessions/bar is accommodating. Have been attending this theater since Great Lakes Crossing opened! Could benefit from a furniture upgrade.

We wer A list members.. it was good experience,, 3 movies a week.. its neat and variety of theaters. U can take even food inside .. easy parking . Accessable clean toilets.. great popcorn..

I hope that AMC has plans to gut and overhaul this theater. I understand that this is a hard time for movie theaters with revenue dropping because of the rise of better home systems and streaming services. That said, you cant create experiences that bring people in by having dirty bathrooms, burnt popcorn, dirty/disgusting butter stations that barely worked, theater seats in need of repair and refinishing, etc. AMC, if youre paying attention to this review, you really need a plan for the empty concession areas at the mall entrance and someone to come through and deep clean the whole facility. I remember when this theater opened and how great it was. Sad to see how far it has fallen.

I made the mistake of getting the A-list membership this theater is the absolute worst it has completely gone down hill. There is nothing good about this theater except for the expensive chicken strips and the Dolby theater when its actually clean which it usually never is. As an A-list member there is suppose to be a special line for tickets and food but there never is its always one line with a ton people waiting because there understaffed. Its infuriating when you have come an hour before showtime just to wait in a long line for stale popcorn. The bathrooms are always dirty along with everything else not to mention the disgusting outdated seats. Im so disappointed

My friends and i stop by once in a month to catch a nice movie. Usually buy tickets from the auto machine and it is quite handy. There is a huge parking structure and parking is not hard to find and is also in a prime location. I wish there was little more security to check people coming in. Overall has been a good experience.

Been awhile since Ive been to a movie theater so when we had to have assigned seating the watch a movie I knew the experience had changed. Closer to the movie than ever before. Brighter, clearer and we saw 1917 and it was really good.

Really nice theater. Restrooms were large and very clean. Snacks were pricey as usual. They have meal deals. Many screens to allow for variety in screenings. As with many, you can pre-purchase your tickets. Due to location you can walk around shop eat etc if you have to wait on your movie to start. Staff is pretty professional/ pleasant.

Horribly disgusting from the bathrooms to the seats in the Dolby theater. Nothing was clean. The seats had popcorn and used napkins in them. The floor littered with trash when we walked in. Clearly hadnt been cleaned from the last showing. The ladies bathroom was beyond filthy, overflowing trash, stained toilets. No one was at the Guest Services desk to assist people. Just awful. I love Dolby but its not worth the filth.

I went to see the latest Star Wars Rise of Skywalker film and unfortunately the program shut down and went dark 45 minutes into the film. It did not restart or continue on and the entire theater (employees) ignored ALL cinematic enthusiasts as to why their program went dark. Not a single manager was present throughout this entire debacle. Poor management and poor customer service from beginning to end. AMC was more concerned with their bottom line as they continued to sell tickets to oblivious patrons, rather than assisting those customers who already paid, in their moment of frustration. My advice is to drive the few extra miles to a competent theater if you don’t want to do deal with a headache.

Recently noticed lack of attention to cleaning theatres. This was Dolby cinema before watching 1917. No cleaning at all between viewings. Also boxes of supplies in hallways and on concession counters. Place really could use some better attention.

If you have the option to go to another local movie theater, go to the other one!The prices are steep here, too. Not to mention we arrived 20 minutes before the scheduled start time of our movie and barely made it into the theater before the film started due to the extremely long wait times in the concessions line.Theres no leg room if you have anyone sitting in front of you. The audio on our movie went up and down throughout the film and the lights werent dimmed down until a while into the film.There arent any huge problems with AMC, but the little things add up to make it an experience that doesnt compare to somewhere like MJR in Waterford.

The seats are terrible. I did not feel safe. Tried to get some salt for popcorn the flavored kind. They dont have that anymore said people kept stealing it. I will never go back to this theater

Feb 17, 2020Theatre 17 is dirty....nobody cleaned and the floor was slippery. MJR always has people waiting to clean before each movie. Great La kn es Star Theatre should do the same.

Been a regular visitor for years. Somehow , over the last few months I find that the theatres are not properly cleaned after shows, especially over the weekend! Also, they need a major uplift regarding seats and backseats . Love the New Dolby theatre!

My last time at this theater. Place was filthy, seats worn out, old and uncomfortable. What really took me by surprise - out of popcorn at 7:00pm on a holiday? I was a theater manager some 40 years ago and the popcorn was our biggest money maker as Im sure it is now. Sumner Redstone would have fired every manager in the place.

Theaters not being marked makes it difficult to know where to go. Assigned seats are great but when the rows arent marked, not so much. Dont attend movies very often and this aggravating experience will keep me away even more.

Im not a great fan far as the Great Lakes theater I mean they can actually do better. And as far it being a busy mall. They have not did a good job far as upgrading the theater.

This place is disgusting. The seats are old and filthy. There is wet sticky stuff on the arm rests, and we are in the first showing of the day. So they cant claim someone made a mess in the last showing. The seat is supposed to rock a little I guess but it collapsed backwards when I sat down so I was at like a 60 degree angle. And they didnt even bother to cover the screen mounting along the edges.

Run down and dirty, this place needs a renovation bad. Wow the prices outrageous.The only reason we went here is because we had gift vouchers. We will stick with MJR. better in every way I mentioned above. Sorry AMC we will not be returning.

The theater experience is a bit dated for a premium mall. Maybe they need to add a train? There’s LEGOLAND, Sea Life, Rainforest Cafe, Top Golf on a pad site (which has been busy every time we’ve been in mall area at random times) and some other solid retailer outlets. That’s why it gets a 3 out of 5 for me. Other than that it works ️

Yesterday , was standing by bar and lady walks in with a beautiful black full size large poodle size of Adult German Shepard. She was about to order some liquor drink then changed her mind. She walks over to staff where three men stood and they allowed her to go inside theatre with the dog and two people, which was unsanitary. Let me remind you ,it wasn’t a guide dog. Would never go there to see a movie or sit in their seats. Wish I could rate no stars.

The movie was good, but the kids running around, seat jumping, talking constantly, was really aggravating. They could use some security in the theatre.

They always seem understaffed.Yesterday they sold me seats that didn’t exist. Their computer system seems to be outdated and not keeping up with what seats are actually available. The lines for concessions are so long that it’s easy to see someone missing the beginning of their movie while waiting in line.They seem like they’re busy enough that they’d be able to do some updates to the theaters.

The screen had cuts in it, the tickets were slightly more expensive and concession prices are not good. I get it if youre already in the mall but if not just go to MJR its so much better and they have comfortable seats that you dont need to pay extra for.

Very crowded, people were in the wrong seats. Very little room in between your knees and seat in front of you. When people have to get up to use restroom everyone in the row has to get up. Theater smelled like fart for the entire movie. I will not be back. Also there was only one person working at concession stand, and it was the weekend.

Was very upset today took my grandson to see frozen 2. Tickets were bought on line through fandango. When I arrived and went to the ticket kiosk to get my tickets at 1 43pm I discovered that the tickets were mistaken ly bought for yesterday. Went to the person that takes tickets he didnt know what to tell and sent me to the box office stood in line to be told there was nothing he could do and sent me back to guest services where I asked for them to call someone to the desk after about 8 minutes with a three yr old someone came from the popcorn stand and said there was nothing they could do. I ended up buying two more tickets so not to disappoint my grandson needless to say I wont be back there a horrible experience

I asked for popcorn and they gave me 2 snickers instead

I would like to give 0 stars. When I entered to the theater for a movie that was about to start my assigned seats were dirty. People before left chicken and ranch dressing all over the place. Also the theater had an horrible smell. I spent $45 between tickets and pop corn. Honestly I was expecting a better environment. Nasty place

Excellent customer service prior to situation and after. My son lost his wallet in theater 23. We called and the manager Alicia was very kind and pleasant. She checked the theater, row and seats they were in. Thankfully she found his wallet lodged between the seats. She is recognized as a dedicated honorable professional employee in our book. I hope the AMC acknowledge her professionalism and top notch courtesy, customer service when it comes to dealing with customers. Again thank you very much Alicia for going above and beyond just asking the Customer service desk if they had a lost Wallet.

Dirty uncomfortable seats, dirty floors, I bought popcorn it was stale and flavorless, even the fountain drinks taste weird... worst movie theater i’ve ever been to!

My first complaint is that I bought a $100 gift card around the 10th of December and it came with bonus cards equaling $20. I had no idea these expired in less than 3 weeks. I had been to the theater a few times and forgot to use them until today. When I went to pay for concessions, i was told they were expired. Why do they expire since they are not coupons? It was not clear they expired when I paid for the $100 card. This is cheap.Also, this theater is very dirty and under-staffed. It is Saturday evening and they had 1 register open for concessions. I dont enjoy going there. The floors are greasy, there are moths in every theater I have been in for the last 2 years. The soda and freeze machines are often out of order. Some attention really needs to be taken here to bring it up to proper standards. I will instead attend Emagine in Rochester MI, even though it is farther from my house.

The positive is that they have alot of screens so you can almost always see whatever movie you want. However, their cinemas are dated and dirty. Seats are broken, no recliners, crowded, spilled soda on floors... Overall, uncomfortable to watch a movie even if you didnt compare against luxury theaters. Soda machine were out of nearly all flavors which you dont know until after you buy. Bathrooms filthy - overflowing garbage, broken doors, toilet bowls not cleaned in weeks. This place needs to be overhauled or bought out.

The place appears run down, broken seats, smells at certain places. It is in dire need of a refurbishment. Also they need to have more employees working. 1 person working the concession stand on a Friday night, there w as s no time to get food or I will miss my movie. Sad situation there.

My first time in the Dolby Sound theater. It was very comfortable. Id like to have those multi-adjustable chairs at home. 5 stars for that.One star for the lobby. The condiments table looked was a mess, popcorn all over everything, and no one in sight.Also, no ticket taker! No one in sight. Just a couple people selling popcorn... weird.

The ticket price is not too bad, and the facilities are fairly clean, but the concessions are ridiculously expensive, but I guess that is just the state of the industry. They do have a nice variety of titles showing at any given time, though.

The seating isnt up to date, but the IMAX theater is AWESOME! Its the best way to see a movie.

This theater is in bad need of a refurbishment. The seats, screens, and sound are ancient. The have only one upgraded theater with recliners. However when you are reclined, people cant walk in front of your chair because there isnt enough room between the footrest and the seat in the next isle. Couldnt you have installed one less row AMC? It looks like greed versus functionality and customer comfort to me. Plus if you buy tickets for this theater the tickets cost more. The recliners are the most uncomfortable recliners in any theater Ive been to.

The good they have a lot of theatres & many movies to choose from. The prices are just average. Its kept clean. The bad I Dont Care for are there seats their tiny and not comfortable like some of the theaters now have the new electric recliners. They are way more comfortable. Thats why Im only giving them three stars . That and there concession prices are outrageous. We found for about the same price you can go out to lunch or dinner first & skip the popcorn and drink. And just bring in a bottle of water.That and there new offer. AMC theaters have the new A-List for 19.95 per month per person. You can see up to 3 movies a week at no extra cost . So eating out first then going to the show becomes much more affordable then paying full price for the tickets and buy from the concession stand.now for less money you can eat out and see a movie. I would give them 5 stars if they put in the new seating.

The self ticketing machines werent accepting AMC Giftcards, would require multiple swipes of credit cards, and would reset themselves halfway through transactions. Went to the service desk where a long line had formed, and what a mess. We would have went to the registers at the mall side entrance, but only one was open on this Saturday afternoon and the line was very long. Too bad their ticket service fee for buying your tickets online cost so much money!

We recently saw a movie in the Imax theater with comfy seating. It was awesome!

This an an OLD theater in great need of an update. The seats are stained, small/tight and fairly dirty. They obviously dont care about the patrons comfort. Our experience was in theater 23 or 24.

Its pretty standard, and offers all the services plus a bar at the edge. They have been remodeling here and there, leaving a few empty odd spots. But it all seems for the best. Staff is helpful, even when dealing with the hordes of teens the roam the place weekends.

Absolutely terrible experience!!! 1 full hour of commercials and previews before the movie started. Went to a 3:20 show of a 1hr54min movie and didn’t get out until 6:20. Was starting to think they didn’t have enough movies for the number of showings and were stalling Waiting for an earlier show to finish.HORRIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE SEATS!!! Maybe you should purchase airplane seats for your theatres. They are far more comfortable. Everything on the website indicated that there would be reclining seats. NOT the case! Even the preview before the movie showed reclining seats in your theatres. Theatre was dirty and didn’t look like it had been cleaned from the previous show. WHAT A WASTE!!! Will only be using EMAGINE theatres from now on... maybe AMC execs should all go see a movie at EMAGINE and take notes.

Its a passable movie theater. The seating was a bit flat (my wife is very adamantly saying that I should tell you this was iMax and she could see peoples heads in front of the screen) , and the sound was too loud.

Went new years eve. Only one concession lane open and the seats are still the old style. Plus, we were not even that high in the rows and I was lit up with the projection room light through the whole movie. Just go to an updated theater insted like mjr or emagine.

Needs updating, a little on the expensive side. For the money mjr is a much superior theater. Concessions were pretty dirty

Food station is disorganized. Once you purchase your popcorn, you have to carry it to the drink station, to fill your own drinks (but theres no place to really set your stuff down) and then cross the room and add butter to your popcorn. The popcorn wasnt good and the butter didnt reach the bottom (in the gallon sized bucket). The theater seats were outdated and over-reclined from wear, giving you less leg room. The hand rails were sticky. The floor was very slippery, my son slipped and fell. Given the mall is fairly clean, well never suggest a movie at that cinema, nor will we go back!

Cost $70 for 3 tickets (2 Imax), 2 popcorn (1 reg, 1 large), 2 drinks (icee).....really?!?! Seats needed cleaning......wont bother with the drive next time. Ill stay closer to home.

Every time I go to AMC Im reminded why I usually drive a little farther to Emagine instead. The seating is better at Emagine. The prices are better. At this particular showing we went to at AMC the movie started 30 minutes, once it dis start it was 3D and it wasnt supposed to be so no one had glasses. They had to restart the movie. When we were leaving, the cleaning crew had already put the strap across the entrance to the auditorium before everyone was out. I went to tell customer service about the experience and they kind pushed me off and said the manager was back in the auditorium handing out passes for another movie. I went back in and only the cleaning crew was in there. Very poor experience. The movie itself was excellent though.

So for starters when going to purchase our tickets only 2 of the 6 tablets were working, so that mean we had to wait in line to purchase our tickets. When trying to enter the theater the man at the entrance gave us attitude when trying to find the theater. Once in the theater our “reserved” seats were filled with trash, stained chairs, and our feet sticking to the floor.... All I can say is for $10 dollars for a ticket you would think they would take better care of their theater won’t be back.

Very dirty theater. My seat was broken. Super expensive for the movies and food. It shouldnt cost $70 dollars for a family of four to see a movie. Will keep going to MJR instead. Way cleaner and cheaper.

Smallest theater rows, so close together you could hardly move..no leg room and three person in the row on front of me kept rocking his seatback into my kneecaps. Not a pleasant experience

This is one of those places that has yet to be updated. I stuck to the floor. The seats looked questionable the armrest was broken. Corn was good and so was staff. I might just be a clean freak.

Went to star theaters at 9:08 to find out that you cant watch movies past 9 if youre under the age of 17. This wouldnt be that big of a deal, if there was any advertising about this new curfew of theirs. But without any warning we were left waiting for ride which is very inconvenient and not safe! Also the whole situation was not handled well by the worker and it was very upsetting seeing how little effort was put into their work... very unimpressed. Will not be going there again.

After the Emagine this is a big step down. Theatre looks old and run down. Seats in theatre had stains. Add on the tickets are more expensive than Emagine.

This is the dustiest movie theater I’ve ever been to. Okay so I knew going into this it was going to be bad but it’s so much worse. Starting with the concession stand that is just completely disgusting ... dirty, smelly, old, honestly looks like nothing has been updated since it opened over a decade ago. Then the seats..... we called and asked if they had recliners and were lied to... these things are the dusty seats I’ve ever sat in... not to mention half of them are broken and the other half stained with cat piss..... stay as far as you can away from this place. Truly disgusting...

The standard theatres have very uncomfortable seats, but some of the theatres are nicer because its in the mall the main concourse area has a very bad and confusing layout. Otherwise, its a standard AMC. Good sound and big screens.

First time at an AMC. Will never go again. Starting was meant for short people. My seat was broken as well as the one in front of mine. Due to this my shins were constantly being hit or had the seat in front of me resting on my legs. They still hurt and have indentation marks from the time there.

Needs to be better maintained. Hi priced concession items , but not hi quality concessions. Everything is charged for double what its worth. Bathrooms are disgusting, fountain drink area is disgusting. Fake butter and salt is only option to put on popcorn. Any flavorings are highly over charged. Ive been to other theaters that have a variety of flavor salts and sauces to put on your popcorn and its FREE with purchase of popcorn. Ticket prices are over priced. Theater itself is old and uncomfortable. Obviously the money they saved by cutting workers and putting in automated ticket kiosk , wasnt spent with any other updates. I hope with enough reviews this place will get the hint but its highly doubted. Definitely wouldnt recommend spending your hard-earned money here. Need proof, check pictures below

Seems to be bright. Clean floors wonderful place to watch movies

Its a well kept AMC theater. The seats and floor were clean, the staff was easy to work with and the viewing experience was very enjoyable! The automated ticket system was a little cumbersome. The touch screen on them is a little slow so you just have to be patient. There really wasnt anything that would keep me from coming to this theater again.

Went there to go see Endgame, the entire place was trashed with popcorn and other trash on all the floors. Tried to get a drink at the bar asked 3 employees with 3 different answers on whether the bar was open, and they evidently they closed the bar for 30 min because that’s what you do before a movie starts... When we got to our seat, without any drinks, the seat was full of popcorn from the movie before us. Plus the entire hallway leading to the theater was full of trash, part stupid movie goers but mostly lazy staff. Would suggest going anywhere else to see a movie

Nice and huge. A bit pricey but a fun time at the movies.

Good theatre with multiple choices of viewing options. Only real downside is frequent talkative movie goers with little respect for others that want to hear or see the film (yes, often mobile phones being used during film in this theatre too).

Great theater. Clean and can buy tickets online. Had the i max theater and the sound was fantastic. The sound changed location based on where the person speaking was. It made it sound like they were right next to you or right behind you even. The colors were really satursted and you could find details extremely easy and again made you feel as if you were in the movie. The seats also reclined which made me feel at home and relaxed while watching the previews. The floors were well lit and not sticky. Would most surely come back.

Nice looking theater, several options. But missing some of the food options other theaters offer, and pricey. Had issues with out of control audience member when I was last there but that hasnt been the norm for me.

I love this theater. But the only seats that are comfortable are in Dolby.
