This is such a gorgeous place!!! Im so disappointed that hurricane Irma destroyed the slope down to the beach where the parking lot is. Also, knocked down trees and made it impossible to try and make it to the beach access point. I tried but came up on a tree/bush that looked like it might have has poison ivy on it. Didnt take the chance like the other 3 I hopped over. Cant wait till they get it fixed!!! Its a must see and do if you love photography as much as I do!!!

Enjoy this scenic stretch of A1A known as the Buccaneer Trail, named for pirates such as Blackbeard that pillaged the coast, which runs along Fernandina Beach, Big & Little Talbot Islands, and Ft. George. Amazing beaches, beautiful scenery, and interesting wildlife along the way.

I came to watch the sunrise here with a friend. I was pleasantly surprised by the simplistic beauty of this area!***PLEASE BE WARNED... ***The bloodsucking bugs on the east shore across from the Residence Ct Boat Ramp are HORRIBLE!!! UGH!!!It was still pleasantly enjoyable despite that HUGE hassle!
