I am so impress of the YMCA they are totally involved in the community making sure that no family stays astray especially our children. During this time of trials with Covid19 and all they are there in the front line with food, love, encouragement, and providing ways so we won’t feel alone. Helpful staff beautiful venue had the pleasure of doing a back to school fashion show and school supply drive.

I was quoted $40 for a regular gym membership. I expressed the rate was too high but unfortunately I was told nothing could be done. This gym is in a primarily minority community where lots of people in this area are facing hardship including myself. This is a community of blacks where our health is paramount and we faced with diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol etc. Im disappointed that this is gym is in the center of my community and close to my home but I cannot use this gym because the price is outrageously high. Why even bother putting the gym in our community when we cannot even afford to use it. When I came to use the gym with my guest pass it was EMPTY with only 1 white person working out.... and i see why. Rates are way tooo high and this place should not be in a community with people of color if you all are not willing to make affordable rates for the community. Totally not fair and not cool.

This is the best ymca other better than the one at buckhead they are literally chilled at rules.

We were welcomed with open arms this is a wonderful place for families with children. The staff is very professional kind very patient with kids when we were looking for safe place for the children for summer. I called for prices also information the prices was affordable they assisted with payment programs for large families we are now full members at the Villages at Carver YMCA . First and foremost, the instructors for all of the classes that I have taken are AWESOME! Also, the flexibility in the schedules makes it easy for me to attend the classes on a regular basis. I thoroughly enjoy the diversity of the classes offered.

Great atmosphere, great exercise classes along with great instructors. I love it, it helps me mentally and physically.

BEST Y in the city. Its newer. The staff is nice. Everything is clean. Equipment is new. Classes are fun and challenging. The walking track is perfect for when weather is bad outside. Infinity Pool is large and not too deep plus it has a steam room and hot tub. My kid LOVES the childrens area and participating in team sports.

This is a very family friendly place with a ton of things for the entire family to do.

Terion is the best employee! She is knowledgeable and patient. The pool closes early at times when an employee calls out. The gym smells a bit funky but it’s clean.

Very clean facility. Staff takes notice of the members and make useful suggestions. I saw working out & a young lady saw mw shadow boxing & informed me there was a heavy bag available. She went out of her way to come share that with me. It made me very happy to know that staff cares. The fact that they have pretty much everything you need there is an added bonus.

They are my family! I have been a member since 2007! My youngest son grew up here. I left for 2 years and 6 months because I got a job that came with a house in Stone Mountain. So, during that time I was with Planet Fitness. In 2018, I moved back to Southwest Atlanta. I returned to the Carver YMCA, and there are some new faces. But, the old faces remembered me immediately! One of the trainers even knew how long I had been away! I was amazed! They were so shocked to see how my son had grown! I absolutely love this YMCA! When I had nowhere to take my son when he was younger because of lack of funds, I could always take him to the Y. He would visit his friends in the Daycare and swim! They had movie night and movies on the lawn! He took karate and swim lessons! My son always had something to do. He was always excited about going to the Y. I love them! This is a great place for families! A great place for single parents! A great place for everyone! You will feel at home here because they will treat you like you belong here.

Its fun to stay at my Y-M-C-A! I have had a membership to this Y for over a year and have never felt out of place or uneasy. The staff is friendly and helpful. Chuck is an awesome trainer who truly encourages and motivates. Theyve recently changed their hours to ipeo earlier and close later, and have upgraded the aerobic equipment which shows they care about members. The baseball fields are well kept. They are deeply engaged in the community and I look forward to having more years with this membership.

The Director acts lole she dont have time to talk to the parents she sends you to the front desk when she is available and doing nothing why do you have to act like you dont like dealing with people of color I PAY FOR YOUR TiME IN A FORM OF YOUR PAYCHECK so act lole you interested in what Im saying

Cleanest Y in the area. That includes the East Lake facility which I also visit sometimes. I mainly use the gym and its always organized and the staff pay attention to make sure it stays that way. I will say I wish they had more room for additional benches and a power rack. This is the only reason I go to other locations.

This is the closest Y to me, and I’ve always had a great experience here! I’ve mostly utilized the pool, and it’s such a great pool space. There’s almost always a swimming lane available and the Y in general is never overly crowded. I would recommend this Y - and YMCA - in general!

Me and my family come here all the time to work out mostly. Mrs. Katrina is awesome! She is so patient with my 10 month old whose never been in a daycare environment, which made me and my husband very comfortable. The equipment are up to date and always working. Its always clean and calm in the mornings and we are so happy to be apart of this amazing establishment!

Staff is really rude, and theres nothing to do there. The summer time is the worst, even for teens. The owner gets on my nerves , he looks VERY sloppy. Old people blame the teen for everything!! The lights when out and she said it was us. I believe that they hate teens so much. They even ban my sister because they thought she stole something for a girl. And she got banned, She asked is she can look at the cameras to show them that she wasnt even at the locker during that time .They said no. And in the summer when me and my friend ask one of the staff in the blue shirt Can we use the glass room with the workout items in it? he said yes and he open the door for us. A few minutes later, the girl staff said we can be in there. We told he that the man let us in and we could use this room. She said you CANT be in there you dont have permission to be there, you guys are going to be out of this YMCA for a year! now hurry up. This made me so mad. I hate THIS ymca! It my look nice but theres nothing to do and the staff hates teens. They will DO ANYTHING TO GET US OUT! You cant even sit in the lobby and wait for you mother to pick you up. BECAUSE one of the staff comes over and said You can wait outside or go somewhere other than they lobby okay?Do not send you kids or go to this ymca if your and teen 14-17

I highly recommend The Villages at Carver Family YMCA. Group water exercises are excellent with experienced instructors. The exercise equipment is state of the art. The staff is friendly and professional.

Great experience for my pre-teen and my 8yr.olds. Love the teen Programs, the Basketball Program, and the Front Office Staff is Great, always willing to help and go the extra mile. P.S. the Phycility is very, very well kept and clean...Love my Y.

People are making comments about the Villages at Carver Apartments here. This is for reviews of the Villages at Carver Family YMCA, I thought. The YMCA is fantastic. The facilities always look clean and the staff is very pleasant. What they dont know, they make up for it with such a nice disposition and willingness to find out that you cant be upset with them. I have nothing but good to say about them.

I was passing through this location as I was traveling, and I would not recommend it. The facility was a large complex, but poorly managed. The availability of weightlifting equipment was poor enough that I decided to leave.Before leaving, though, I had the displeasure of experiencing a host of children that were out of control and an unknowledgeable staff. Maybe my experience was the result of a small sample size, but given the consistency of poor experiences during this brief stint, I cannot say that it wouldnt be indicative of what you would expect to experience at this branch.

I really enjoy the activities and programs at The Villages at Carver YMCA. There are a variety of classes to choose from and always a new experience to be learned. From water aerobics to bicycling to cardio funk, you can do it all at The Villages at Carver YMCA.

I really enjoy the wellness center since it has been updated and now trying out the summer camps for my children.

Have signed up. Best bang for the buck. Very comfortable environment for working out. Only wish they would stay open later. Fun classes.

If your work the regular 9 to 5 snd ur schedule never changes this gym is for u. Other wise you will always miss ur workouts. The gym doesnt stay open late or open as early on the weekends. The hours of business on their voice mail isnt accurate you will show up thinking their open and be SOL! They need to send emails when they will be closed ,I got up this morning at 6am to wrk out and the gym was closed ,I guess new years resolutions start later in the week. Reeeeeeeaaaalllly disappointed.

My stay here was HELLACIOUS!!!! It looks really nice online but to move in and live after business is another thing. The staff is really unorganized and I am always walking out of there with a bad disposition. Let me bring you up to speed and give you somethings to consider about the VILLAGES AT CARVER. I asked if these apartments were section 8 and they said NO. The have a thing called MARKET and TAX Credit rates that you pay. SO this is what kinda of croud you get....you get single moms who are at work (2nd and 3rd shift), while there teens and kids run WILD....and I mean you think you are in the WILD WILD WEST (this is the Westside...smh). Gang activity spills over into the complex from the highschool. I have seen more yellow crime scene investigation tape in the past year than I have seen my entire 29yrs on the earth. My car was vandalized by a young adolescent (12yr old) in my building and then threatend my 5 yr old when she proceed to tell me. The stakes are so high I was afaid to report it because of retaliation. Not to mention, the leasing company wants to bargin with me about not charging me a fee for not giving them a full 60 day Notice if I write out a statement. They should have the incident a report right Their security was there along with the police. Really. The kids are HORRIBLE!!!! I cant really say I blame MOMs but I think you should reVAMP work schedules so they are present in the home when the teens & kids are as well...or maybe they, the leasing office should start pre-screening people concerning this when making a desicsion. The Villages at Carver....should be called the The Villages of the Damn!!! September 30 2012 I AM OUT OF HERE!!! And to think I am paying almost 1000 and my neighbor is paying not even 1/2 of that. YOU DONT WANT TO LIVE AROUND THE CROWD....I PROMISE YOU!!!

The staff changes constantly, security dont have proper i.d., maintenance takes 1-2 months to repair any issues, you have loitering at night and people crawl under the gate to get it but at least its a cop(s) that does swing by often.
