WINNING! I was in town with friends and we wanted a place with good drinks, good music and good atmosphere. We got so much more at Atlantas Sutra Lounge! With awesome music, drinks, people, staff, and HOOKAH, whats not to like about this place?!?!?!. The people who gave 1 star ratings must hate having fun :). Our Bartender, Tracy, was the BEST! I cant wait to go back ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!Edit - this review is actually for when I went YEARS ago...

This place is a trash. The waitress over charge you without your permission. They put extra tips on my credit card purchase and charged extra. When I contacted the owner, he said he will take a look and initially asked my card details and checked my receipts. When I confirmed that I did not write the tip he said he would refund but never responded later.This is such a cheat.Recommended all my friends never to visit there or host a party.Besides place looks like underground subway.

Here for the first time made some RSVP’s on evite waiting to see if they honor the reservation. Owner Orlando seems like a respectable business woman we’ll see I’ll definitely let everyone know.

If I could rate this as a no star, I would. My experience at the Sutra Lounge was terrible. From the time I walked into the building, I knew that the service provided was unacceptable. The gentleman at the entrance harassed me about providing him with the correct amount of change, because he was unable to break a twenty dollar bill. Also the level of security was unprofessional. No one was ID or searched at the door, which immediately made me feel unsafe. If I was not coming to celebrate my friend’s birthday, I would have never stepped passed that dirty rug, they call an entrance. There were men in the club that followed and harassed women around the club, begging for dances and their contact information. If I didn’t know any better, some of those guys seemed to be on drugs. Speaking of drugs, there was a midst of marijuana floating in the atmosphere. The security finally arrived, which it seems as if he was also apart of the kitchen staff, because he smelled like old cooking oil. He was very rude and disrespectful. This would be my first and last time at this night club. Which I wish it was never even my first.

Sutra Lounge is very run down and unkept. The restrooms smelled of sewer, they have old basement couches for outside seating, and in the inside general seating area the seat backs were falling apart. Orlando the bartender was really nice and made great drinks. Food was good. Barely any people came out to support but my group and I made the best of it.

I went here with some cousins just to have a drink and have some fun but as we arrived we had an issue with a bouncer claiming money that was dropped from a member of the group that I was with was his and after speaking to the owner to have him try and help resolve the situation, he said that he spoke to the employee who claimed that he had given the money back which he hadnt in fact done, so once the owner came back and informed us of this information we asked to review the footage with the owner and at that point he said that he has a house full of people and that he couldnt at the time so we waited till it closed to see the footage and once we found the owner at closing he again came up with more excuses of why he couldnt at the time, so over all I would say DONT EVER GO HERE! HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT SKILLS!!!!!

Sutra lounge has terrible service. The club bangers at the door posing as security guards has over charged me for a $25 entry fee for what seemed to be a good party, but when I got down stairs, no one was in there, it was empty! The music was loud which made me think it was a lot of people in there. I will never go there again. The drinks were over priced and watered down one bartender had a attitude and the other bartender re-used a dirty cup from one customer to give to another customer. This place needs to be shut down!

Weird vibe in this club... nobody dancing and the bartenders were standing off to the side talking to friends the whole time at midnight on a Friday night.

Anytime you want to visit a place that smells like poop right from the door look no further. Really disgusting I felt like I wanted to bleach the place for the ten minutes I was there.

I Placed a complaint about this bar along with Atlanta bar tours with the Georgia consumer protection agency. Halloween weekend 2017 - our group of friends read the advert for a pub crawl - 25 bucks - 18 bars! No cover charges to access any participating bars.Sutra lounge was a participating bar on the list in the advert.Unfortunately there was no fine print to read on the website. The fine print was a map you received at the pub crawl.So once you bought your ticket for the pub crawl and showed up to get your wristband - the map they hand out to you outlines what hours you can enter without a cover.This is not disclosed readily on the website. I searched over and over and could not find exceptions. I saved the advert along with the web page and submitted to the consumer protection agency of Georgia .10 dollar drinks if youre interested - Im just more upset with misleading advertising and partnering with misleading advertising organizations.

Pretty nice place to unwind with your friends. My only dislike is that you have to pay for valet parking. Theres no way around. Besides that it was cool.

The worst place ever to go $20 to get in no one was there they dont even serve food it was horrible the music is horrible only good thing I can say is that they have ac then I leave the club and someone broke in my car everything in the car gone I would never recommend this place to anybody it is boring as hell please dont reconsider this location to have fun cause ubwant.

The fire bartender “Flame” is so entertaining I went to sutra to celebrate my sister birthday and she made us birthday Flame shots on fire!!!! It’s wa super fun and I will recommend everybody to go there for their birthday, it’s literally LIT!!!!

Im not gonna lie that I was drunk as f*** when I went, but I loved it. I twerked against the table, on the booth, and on the floor. I had a good time and want to go more often. It was pretty crowded after midnight on the Saturday night I went.

They will make you pay $25 for ,a 20 minute hookah if you want to lounge. But if you just want a drink & there are no seats youll have to stand or sit at bar stools away from the dance floor. So be prepared for that.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. Bathroom is nasty. There are no seats unless you’re in VIP. They only play trap music. Also, they sell a bottle of Dasani water for $5. I was thirsty so I bought it. However, the next day when I checked my account, they charged me $6. Water doesn’t even cost that much at the store. I will not return to this place.

Great spot for open mics and showcasing your talent as an upcoming artist.

This place gets a 1 Star only because I don’t have the option for 0 stars! It stinks in there, the women bathroom doors do not lock and the liquor does not taste real! It’s $12 for one shot of fake Hennessy. They charged me and my friends $20 to get in the club and once we got down stairs, there was nobody in there only 3 people. I will never go here again! One of my friends asked the bartender for a cup of water and the manager yelled at the bartender with a grumpy look on his face.

Over priced for no reason. I was on rsvp list and security said I still have to pay. I paid cause it was for my folk bday but its dead in here.

New management took over. Renovation is happening slowly, giving customer better experience. Becoming a peoples club.

The Bartender put her own tip on my debit card for a $10.00 drink. I DO NOT CONDONE FORGERY . So I will not be going back to this place and I recommend that If you choose to go here pay with cash.

We came here on an Atlanta Bar Tour and as we expected the place was packed (which was not an issue). We waited at the front of the bar for over 20 minutes. We ordered 3 long islands and the bartender told us that she doesnt know how to make any mixed drinks and if we wanted mixed drinks we should go to there other end of the bar.She further proceeded to inform us that shes not even a bartender and she doesnt even work hereWe caught a second bartenders attention who also said she didnt know how to make it. At this point the manager comes over screaming what? WHAT! What do you even want??Me: ok so since Ive been refused service twice NOW I wanna know how much this overly complicated LONG ISLAND is?He says, You wanna know how much it is?? Security get them out of here,Security comes over and proceeds to push and shove us three small women out for ordering drinks.Never again. Just say no to Sutra Lounge guys. Idk if they even have a liquor license seeing as how theyre bartenders arent bartenders. Theyre extremely rude and disrespectful. And all this because we wanted one of the most common drinks ever. Smh. Do better.We DID get our entry fee back tho.

This place is literally a hole in the wall awaiting crime! very nasty! My co worker who is a female had to pee outside because the bathrooms smelled like sewer and did not work. Ciroc is my favorite vodka and the ciroc did not taste like Ciroc. It tasted like a bottom shelf gin. This place is disgusting and fraudulent. The waitress put her hand in the food and did not wash her hands and management allowed it! The owners should be fined and management sent to jail for unsanitary and inhabitable display and actions. We paid $20 a peice to enter and it was nobody in there. The music was super loud but nothing there was exciting that would make us return again. I heard there was fire entertainment on Friday’s but instead it was a drunken college rave, no one in my age group. Smh a waiste of money, Uber and time.I read the comments from the local guides who gave 3 and 5 stars, but they left no real comments. The only good thing to say about Sutra is, there is room for improvement.

I love this place, it’s my sister an I go to spot when we have nothing to do in a Saturday night...we know exactly what the night will be like when we go here, it’s always a good time, good music, good drinks, and good hookah!!!

They will not give free tap water here. Obnoxious, ridiculously slow (30-40 minutes from time ordered at bar), and clearly want people to be incredibly drunk and spend a lot of money because; as previously stated; will not give people free unfiltered tap water.

I witnessed an underage girl (20 years old) being rape by one of the strippers in the woman bathroom. The manager was in on getting the girl and her two friends drunk and defending the stripper. This club is horrible on hospitality and slimmy towards young women. The club manager is not and was not perfessional. He locked the door after throwing the girls out on the street that the police couldnt even get in. If you are thinking about this spot redirect yourself young ladies. The strippers poses as being gay to get the femeale customer feeling safe and unattracted by them just to take advantage of them....

I went with some friends to sutra lounge and had the time of my life! it was soo much fun! the cost was really inexpensive and the dj was on point when it came to music! i will definitely be visiting that venue again.

This place is just terrible no place to sit unless you buy a $250 bottle would never recomend this place...

I went to Sutra within the past couple of weeks and the experience I had here was more than horrifying. I was drugged by one of the clubs patrons. The whole night I was blacked out and did not remember one thing. The police stated that without having anyone testify to seeing someone place something in my drink they could not make a report. If anyone had seen something placed in my drink (besides the person doing it) do you think I would have drunk it?I then turned to the lounge for help. When I went to the lounge to speak with the manager Orlando he seemed more than willing to review any footage that was available over the phone. When I arrived in person the excuses started rolling in ranging from the cameras could not rewind, then the RAM drive he used did not record, to the AV equipment was now broken. Mind you they have infrared cameras for a reason....... You pay more so you can see more! To top it off after catching him in several mistakes in regards to the excuses of the recordings he claimed he did not see me and would have if I was there(as I was one of very few Caucasians in the lounge and would have stuck out), then following up with his girlfriend to hopefully further prove his point via his cell phone... Really I asked myself now you are going to stoop so low to play the card that I was not even there? He did offer one thing in return to empty tapes, he said that my fiancé was more than welcome to come back that weekend to try and nab the kind gentleman that was following me around that evening- just to call him and he would escort him in.When he showed up they made him pay full to partial cover to get into the lounge, at least $20/person even though Orlando knew the intentions of the evening. My fiancé then spoke to the owner who was also on the premises who indicated it was illegal to tape inside a lounge in GA - what a joke!The point of this post is to anyone who is unfortunate enough to go through an incident such as mine and then to know that the lounges bad publicity possibly means more than drastically changing maybe even ending someones life in the future. I know this happens at many places all over Atlanta and is not uncommon by any means but if the environment you are in is not willing to assist in catching the perp, then what hope is there to stop the problem at hand?

Just went there on Thursday and I must say I had a horrendous time & I will never return...ever! It was supposed to be reggae night yet they barely played any. There was a $20 cover charge with barely 20 ppl inside the entire night. Stated free jerk chicken but then charged $5 for a little ass plate. Drinks were watered down... please go spend ur $$ elsewhere cuz this place was a piece of crap!
