Beautiful forest hike with a few nice scenic views. Its worth hiking up to the small tower and also nice down by the river. There are a few steep sections, plus the parking area is at a high point. That means your hike will likely end with a long uphill walk - at least ours did. Enjoy!

This was the first time I checked out this area and it seams to be a good place to walk around in the woods. Surprised to see a privy and it came in handy. From the maps it looks like it supplies plenty of access to the southern side of the Millers River. Already posted photos, no need to duplicate.Mr. P says

Friday: obtained a camping permit legally and printed it out. Nothing in the rules about car camping. Saturday: Nick chases me off the property in a golf cart because you cant sleep in your car here. Thanks Nick. I hope youre proud of yourself for depriving a new mom of her only night to herself in five months. Good job.

Bearsden is a beautiful and expansive conservation area with miles of hiking trails from enchanting forests to hill-top vistas down to creeks and rivers-edge. Well worth the visit.

Walked in today and found Sheep Rock, a piece of granite ledge with a 10-foot wooden observatory on top. Beautiful area, lots of signs to keep you from getting lost. Trails are wide and not too steep for the semi-elderly, for the most part, and well maintained. No bears to be seen today Came in from the South Royalston side, over the RR bridge.
