Tranquilizing. Beautiful. Great variety of trees. The kids are introduced to a love for nature here, or, at least, that trees can be entertaining. This will be my frequent place to visit for day trips. I told the kids if they hugged in this forest, theyd be friends forever.

A real jewel for a pleasant hour or two. Or more. Wide sidewalks meander among an array of trees. Park benches aplenty to sit and take in the beauty.

A beautiful space to walk, sit or meditate. We walked around and read the different memorial plaques. The benches were nicely spaced out so mom could sit and rest as much as she needed to. This little park is a treasure!

This was an extremely nice park for a weekend stroll with the family. It is stroller friendly and dog friendly, but you must keep your dog on a lease. It was interesting to see trees from different states and countries. From the looks of it, theybtook seeds or saplings from all over and planted them in the park. A few trees of note are an oak from Grandpa Earhart estate, a tree from George Washingtons white house, and a Moon Tree. The seeds were taken to the moon on Apollo 14 in 1971, and they were brought back and planted. One of those trees happens to be at this park.

What an amazing place! So much history and it is cool when you find your state and the tree your state sent. You see back in the 1970s they started this forest and asked each state to send a tree and all 50 sent a tree. Then they started asking countries to send a tree to be planted. I think about 30 countries sent a tree.

Our home school group stopped at this park after our field trip to the Amelia Earhart Museum recently. What a beautiful and peaceful park! It is well maintained, very nicely landscaped, & well thought out. What a beautiful tribute to Amelia Earhart, and others in aviation history! Im really glad we visited!

The International Forest of Friendship is a wonderful place--peaceful yet inspiring, rooted in the earth yet linked to some of our greatest adventures in and above the sky. The pathways and lawns of the Forest are well worth an hour, or an afternoon. The Moon Tree and astronauts circle remind us of Kansas motto--to the stars, through difficulties. I look forward to coming back to this living, growing memorial to the world history of aviation and aerospace.
