Today I spent time on the practice range and practice green. Both are in excellent condition. The range balls are relatively new and in good condition. The ball pyramids at the individual practice stations were refilled twice in the hour or so I was hitting balls so I never ran out of balls. The winter grass has come in good and thick and is nice to hit off of. The practice green is in good shape as well and typically rolls close to the course greens.Great facilities to help keep your game in shape.

For the money for a Saturday morning tee time, this course offers great value. While not terribly challenging off the tee, the approach shots are made difficult given the small greens of the Pinehurst Course. Pointe Course was a little friendlier. But all greens were in fantastic shape and rolled beautifully. Lastly, the practice range and putting green are excellent. Worth giving a try, if you are in the area.

Golfing here and used to love this coarse but will join Kingwood Country Club. The groups of 5 and incredibly rude members have killed the fun here. They stack the players up too close $$$ and for the price you can find a better time. Bye Atascocita you lost us.

Great course, but horrible customer service. Cart died on the 6th fairway and waited over an hr, ended up walking the rest of the way. Called several times to the pro shop to no avail... very disappointing.

Played there for the first time today with my wife. Kid in the pro shop gave poor directions to the Pinehurst fist tee. Not a bad course but not interesting either. Very dry conditions but some holes signed cart path only. Did not make sense. Weed grases near the tee boxes. Some tees mostly sand. The rough was not rough, instead mostly wild.Driving range did not have enough slots but plenty of unused space. Next to me was instructor and student. Hard to focus on my warm-up with the constant voice of the instructor in my ear. Should have used some of that unused space for for a teaching location.Prices fair enough but I wont go again. Nothing really special about the course to warrant a second play.

I was a little worried after reading the reviews yesterday, worried for no reason. We live down by Galveston and came up here to golf while waiting for my mom to fly in. We were not disappointed! Greens were in great shape and the customer service was outstanding!

If your interested in a 7 hour rd this is your place we had a 5some in front of us with 3 walkers and watched them hit 3 balls of the tee box multiple times on top of the fact we teed off 25 minutes behind schedule? Won’t make this mistake again

Pace of Play is Terrible! Bad Management and No one cares. Much better golf facilities in the area. Tour 18 and Oakhurst.

As a playing golfer for about 50 years, I can say that you will not meet a more accommodating staff anywhere. Ive been a member at several different courses and have played a lot of golf courses all over the US. The staff here beats them all. I definitely recommend Atascocita Golf Club. With all of the rain in the area the last year, the course is in surprisingly good condition. They have several games they play out there on different days of the week and it is a fun 27 hole layout. The members are very friendly.

Nice course! I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of this course. I havent played here before and I was pleased with the greens and the course conditions overall. I will definitely be making the 45 minute drive to play here several times a year.

Ok so let me preface this with the fact I was a single walker playing on a Sunday. I knew well in advance it would likely be tough getting on here, but with the course being so close, and having never played it, I thought I’d give it a go.Staff: this is a hit and miss area. The guy in the pro shop handling reservations told me it could be a while before getting on, but as I was walking he offered a discount off the normal rate (although I don’t know any public course that doesn’t offer a lower rate for walking, weekend or not). He also said to check in with the guy outside and that I. Ought be able to be squeezed in. This particular individual made me feel like a stain on his existence, or that any single who’d dare come in as a walk on (I was in no rush and said so) was a pain in his rear end. He then told me about 15min later that I could follow a threesome (that part of a split group of 7 apparently) but they I could press them or ask to play through because “I” would be the reason for slow downs on the course. Sorry, but etiquette used to state you let the faster player through so you don’t hold up pace of play. As a walker, I waited on this group ALL DAY, to where a twosome joined up with me and we played on pace with the very group. My partners later left, and I was back to waiting 15min for this group to each have a turn making a putt. The Marshal didn’t seem to be bothered by any of this pace of play nonsense, so I have nothing positive to say there. About the only on-course staff that was worth a positive in this review is the beverage cart girl. She was kind and courteous.Course: the courses I played were nice. I thought the front nine (black) was more challenging than the back (red) despite the lack of bunkers. Hole layout was fairly simple and easy to get used to. This course doesn’t seem to have one of those quirky “local knowledge” type holes. Fairways were in good shape, and greens rolled fast, and if anything had some comical slopes in them. I enjoyed the courses save for the painted greens (fertilizer or artificial color I’m not sure).Value: again, I appreciate the discount for walking, but I chuckled at how it was some special deal rather than a standard practice. I’ve played many places where there’s always a reduced rate for walking without having to be made to feel like you were getting special treatment. You use less course resources, you get a discount. Simple. I think if I’d actually been able to finish my round (quit in the fairway of 18, and almost did so sooner) I would say I’d try it again, but I don’t particularly care for a course where the marshal is just riding around saying hi to people and not enforcing proper pace of play. I walked in 4.5 hours what should have taken 3.5.As is, I won’t be playing here again, and I won’t recommend it to anyone, especially on weekends.

This course is in great shape for January....! The greens keeper is doing a fantastic job and we love the how affordable this little gym of a course is.This historic course has been resurrected into a must play course for all golfers on this side of town.

Great course and staff but got accused of denting the green twice mainly because Im a young man. The staff was just doing their jobs but the arrogant members of this club made my otherwise positive experience a negative one.

I am considered a younger player by this golf clubs standards which unfortunately for me, and others alike Im certain, means that predetermined negative judgement is placed upon me. I CANNOT say that this is the case for all staff members but as a golfer I see specific marshalls not department heads. I spoke highly of the course in recognition of what could be accomplished in the future so I became a member. Needless to say, I am now a non-member and have no interest whatsoever in going back. The course is in terrible condition with respect to the standards that atascocita golf club themselves portray to their patrons. SPECIFICALLY the greens. You may as well be putting through a sand trap or crab grass depending on the hole with no exaggeration. Impossible to put together a good day of golf. Now Im aware that a great looking golf course is a difficult and tireless commitment but the fact that this course has 3 NINE HOLE COURSES makes the conditions 100% UNACCEPTABLE. What an extreme advantage they have. Close down 9 holes and get it RIGHT! Then reopen, close another nine, and repeat. Take as long as it takes because thats what your consumers deserve. Atascocita fails miserably when it comes to maintenance which only management can be held hostage for. They spend MUCH more time working on the driving range than they do the actual course. (Which means its closed down at that time of course)I have extensive successful experience in business and rule number one is to appease the older crowd and bring in the youth for the future sustainability of the company. Atascocita golf club shows very poor form in this department as well.I have since found another course that I enjoy much more AND its less expensive. The difference is that they maintain the IMPORTANT parts of the course rather than simply mowing fairways. The greens at this course are TRUE. If its downhill youd better hit it softly and right cup edge means right cup edge and so forth. At Atascocita golf club a downhill put of the same degree could either blow by the hole off the green or come up 10 ft short do to the conditions. Absolutely no consistency. Anyone that has played the course and is being honest knows exactly what Im taliking about and I hope they will condone my statements as true remarks to save the time of future golfers. Golf is supposed to be a relaxing fun day away from work, but when all of the practice youve put in isnt portrayed on the scorecard due to course conditions the day becomes frustrating as Im sure we can all agree. Get your moneys worth and enjoy yourself everyone!River Terrace off of Wallisville Rd. is an easy course but most importantly.... THE GREENS. They do what you see them do. My score dropped nearly 10 strokes and not because I was playing any better but because the ball did what I wanted it to. Check it out if you want its only an amazing $18 weekdays and $24 on weekends. Absolutely GREAT GREAT course for the price you wont regret it and the burgers that you can order on the 9th tee box rival any restaurant Ive visited ever. Always fresh, quality product and always delicious. The reviews on google for atascocita golf are SKEWED BADLY. See for yourself if you go.AGAIN NOT ALL STAFF MEMBERS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AS BEING A PART OF THE PROBLEM. Some are very professional and outgoing but as a whole the course is chaosThanks for your time

Whether you are an occasional player or an avid golfer AGP (Atascocita Golf Preserve) is a good place to play. It features three 9 hole courses, a driving range and practice green. They do offer memberships at a great rate and also accept Walk-Ons with no membership required. The staff is friendly and helpful, and so are the members. Ken, the current pro at what is now AGP, has done a heck of a job giving this course a facelift ever since it was closed and reopened. With Ken around you can count on something new, whether its an upcoming tournament, a charity event, or just new amenities for the members and non-members alike. A+++
