This business is a wonderful addition to the Ashtabula Harbor. Kayaking on the river was so much fun. It had been many years since I had been on a kayak, and the owner was very helpful in instructing us on how to paddle. My friends and I agreed that we will return to kayak and to try the hydro-bikes.

My husband has been dying to go ever since they opened and I surprised him with finally booking two kayaks for Fathers Day. We had. A BLAST! The owners were so kind and made us feel comfortable and also made everything so easy. It was our first time kayaking. The prices are awesome and we will definetely be back again this summer and will bring the kiddos next time:)

Had a great time paddleboarding on the Ashtabula River, thanks to Brandon at Harbor Yak. He set us up nicely on the river, and provided us with helpful instructions and tips for a good paddling experience. The price was incredibly reasonable. Highly recommend!

Took my Mom kayaking for her first time because I told her how awesome it is out here in the Harbor! She had a blast, and wants to do a kayak day with the whole family now :) cool to have such a environmentally conscious family business right here in Ashtabula!

My cousin and I decided to spend a few hours out on the lake. We needed to launch one of our own and rent one and the lady there was awesome! It is reasonably priced as well! They even opened one up in my hometown, Conneaut!! Can’t wait to take advantage of that when I visit family!! Thank you harbor yak!

The BEST summer time spot. Nothing like a peaceful paddle out to the break wall to watch the sunset. Brandon and Alexa truly care about the community and making Ashtabula better and better each year. I am SO excited for what they have in store for this year!

Brandon took my boys and myself out for a morning of fly fishing for Steelhead. He was very knowledgable and great with my boys. Nice equipment provided for us as well. He knew the area and there was lots of fish activity, a large steelhead was caught and my boys had several other close calls. Despite the weather we all had a great time! I would recommend him to anyone looking to fly fish in the area.

Floating dock and launch is easily accessible to all skill levels and ages. Great equipment. The sunset tours are amazing. Very affordable.

Being an avid fisherman, Ive noticed a real lack of guided steelhead fishing in ashtabula county. After doing some research, I couldnt really find anyone, until I came across harbor yak, which i previously thought only did kayak and canoe rentals. So, I reached out to them on Instagram and was immediately met with a response. I received all the info I needed, like what I needed being, where to meet, and the rates (very reasonable). We arranged my trip and went out. I had an amazing time, exploring many fisheries, I hadnt been before and Brandon(my guide) worked tirelessly to get me into fish and he did an excellent job. We went to 4 different fishing locations and i caught 6 fish. Truly a fantastic experience and I cant wait to go again!

Perfect night for the Full Moon Float. The floating launch is a sweet setup. Perfect for beginners in the calm stretch of river.

I am the owner of a SUP/Kayak company located about 10 miles from Harbor Yak and I know them to be great people who care about the sport and the safety of their customers!
