Nice local museum of maritime artifacts. I liked the miniature train display and the pilot house. Good display of local connection to the Titanic. One improvement they could make is the volunteer in the pilot house. He was an older man who made derogatory comments about women.

Lots of love has gone into this great local museum. Incredible model work can be found alongside fantastic artifacts from all the various eras of shipping on the Great Lakes. Its a small place, and much of the collection is without descriptive text, but the quality and variety is impressive. The folks working here are enthusiastic about it and more than willing to answer questions. This is a memorable place worth stopping at if youre in the area.

Extensive collection in a relatively small area. Docents are very knowledgeable. Some extremely detailed models. Worth a visit.

My father and stepmother lived on the corner of Corrine Avenue and 6th Street. Right across the street from mothers of Sorrows. My stepmother owned Marylous restaurant on 5th Street. She had it from the forties 50 sixties and in the seventies. She then sold it. My father was a super of the A&B dock system

Planned 93 mile one way side trip to Ashtabula Marine Museum based on info from area pamphlet. Which said museum was open daily noon-5pm. We arrived about 2pm Thursday 7/19 found it locked up tight. Decided not to waste more gas driving back again the next day. Several other museums and Light houses were also locked up and only open one or two days. We planned a week long road trip visiting various places each day during the week, not just on the weekends.
