The recreation center has a lot of different centers to focus on different parts of your body. All of the different student workers are very nice and are willing to help. The equipment is not always the best but it poses no danger.

You get plenty of options for a well-rounded workout, its lit well, and its really clean.

*Disclaimer* I am a current student at AU. The facilities are very nice, lots of different activities from rock walls to standard gym equipment to swimming, racket ball and a golf simulator and a way to check out equipment for any activity if it is needed.

Clean interior with many facilities.

Things are pretty cramped together and it can get pretty crowded pretty quickly. There also is only one aerobics room which houses materials that are only there (heavy bag, box jumps, etc) but often there is a class going on so you cannot use those items.There is a rock-wall there as well, but the staff do not seem knowledgeable enough to give tips or teach about how to approach it. I know a lot of people that are too intimidated to even go try it out. Overall, I wonder what the design was here because it does not seem to be well thought out.There is a pretty good smoothie place inside. I really wish there werent a bunch of offices and classrooms in the building. I think a rec center should just be a rec center and not serve so many purposes.
