We had a great time! This place is fun, quirky and their staff is very nice. When you step into the room, they immerse you in the full experience. Bravo!

Best breakout room weve tried in Asheville. Think Murder Mystery Theater meets Puzzle Room, and youll have the idea. The staff play multiple characters throughout the hour long adventure providing clues along the way. They also have a small bar for drinks before or after your breakout adventure.

We had our annual office retreat here on 12/12. It was absolutely amazing and so much fun! The staff was so helpful with everything from discussing booking to the actual escape rooms. The game masters were in character the whole time and the rooms were very detailed. Would definitely consider taking our team here again next year!

Had a wonderful date night with The Vampires Vault! Made just for two people, its a wonderful test of your communication skills! Fair warning, with this room one of you will be in a dark, smallish space, but if at least one of you is cool with that then I highly recommend it. I believe Derek was our GM, he did a good job!

Amazing....Amazing...Amazing...The Bartender Ashley made some of the best drinks i have had in my existence of life! Gin Fizz with real egg white...smoked and i mean LITERALLY smoked the whiskey so you could smell the hickory in the old fashion! The escape room was amazing as well but the speak easy bar had to be one of my favorite...you need a password to get in but all are welcomed! Love this place and everything about it! P.S. Its downstairs in case you get lost!

Sweet speak Easy. The atmosphere was awesome and it was cool all the way down to the password entry! KT was our bartender and she was awesome. We recommend letting her make a custom drink you won’t be disappointed.

First of all the atmosphere of the speak easy is so cool!!!!! It is the perfect place to catch up with friends. But thats not what we went for; we went for the escape room. It was the BEST escape room we have done. (and we have done several) At the time we went there was a Groupon so we even got a great deal. It was a group of four, and even though we didnt break out we had a lot of fun! It was a good story line. (not too cheesy) The staff and actors were wonderful.

I freaking love this place. Its other worldly... The kind of thing one would expect to find lost in the depths of an eastern European city, a remnant of an ancient innocent world.

Went here today with my mom. We had a fabulous time! We did the murder mystery room and it was so much fun! Unfortunately we discovered this place on our last day in Asheville because we would have loved to do more experiences. If I am ever in Asheville again, I will make sure to come back!! We dropped by on a whim and were given a great little tour by the guy working there. We are escape room junkies and this one looked great although we weren’t able to fit it into our schedule. When we come back to the area this will be the first place we go. Such a fun kooky atmosphere perfect for tourists! Would definitely try this before any chain escape room

You must Conundrum while in Asheville! Amazing fun 3 visits in the past year. My friends and I loved the escape room so much, we came back for the Murder Mystery escape room - novel idea. Great and creative craft cocktails, too. Also have done Le Vine Noir twice. Gary had us in stitches. Fun sensory expireince wine tasting in the dark!

They advertised gyspy guitar on mountain Xpress but when we showed up, they asked for a password. They turned away 4 paying customers, and three other groups on the sidewalk. We went out of our way to walk here and we wont be going back

This is hands-down my favorite escape room in Asheville. They have really awesome rooms, but they also have really great staff. They are the only room Ive been to that the staff is in-character the whole time and interact/help in person while remaining in-character. Its a more in-depth experience compared to other escape rooms who just play a video and the staff interacts via only a speaker. Also they have the speak-easy and serve adult beverages which is nice! Its a nice atmosphere.

This was the most detailed escape room I have ever been in!!! The actor (characters) were awesome! The amount of thought that went into these rooms was amazing - I have never seen such tasks! Highly recommend!!! FYI - very good for larger groups, always ask about the suggested number of participants, they arent kidding!!!

We enjoyed an evening of wine tasting in the dark. It was a fun adventure with delicious treats and a comical show. Our host was wonderful. I recomend this to anyone over 21!

Cute, small (4 bar stools) bar, but the whole touristy Escape Room gimmick tends to diminish whatever speakeasy vibe they might be hoping for. When 10 people are suddenly dumped into a tiny space from the Escape Room and are expected to order, drink and pay for cocktails in a very short amount of time, its laughable. And the same thing happens with the pedaling beer mobiles - not enough space or time for anyone to enjoy a drink.

Oh man Conundrum is so cool. It has something for everyone. Badass speakeasy style bar complete with varieties of absinth? Check. Multiple escape rooms? Check. Murder mystery room complete with actors? Check. Pitch black spirits tasting room where the servers have night vision goggles? you know it.I worked with jeff to have this be a stop for a fun immersive scavenger hunt for a birthday. He was fantastic. In character the whole time and super flexible!all in all, you HAVE to stop here for a drink or a challenge (or both!)

We came here for the wine tasting in the dark. Sadly, I felt sick and was unable to stay. They immediately took care of me , refunded our tickets and continued to make sure I was ok. There was live music, Ashley something? She was really good and took requests. The bartender surprised us with every drink, asking us questions to come up with things we would like. Her artistry with drinks and shots made you feel like being at an actual Speakeasy. We found the secret lounges and continued playing games for a while before the escape room. We chose the WunderBrugghen and it was SO much fun. We had never done one before, but all six of us were challenged and involved. We didnt make it out, but we still had a really fun time. The actor was dedicated and a lot of fun, so make sure you bring some cash to tip her. At $25 per ticket, I think its totally worth your money at least once.

A single visit to this below-ground bunker spot (along the PubCycle route) gave me the immediate feel of a 1930s speakeasy... intentionally, of course. Dark and cozy!

We called ahead and asked how to reserve 4 spots since we would be paying separately. We were 15 minutes away and the woman on the phone told us to come on over. We walked in and were told the spots had been given away and well she didnt tell me so oh well. Wasted our time going here and were pretty annoyed that the information we were given was incorrect. Will not be returning.

Ive done a few styles of Escape Room events, this was by far my favorite. Fun to support a local business!

Good for small groups or date night. Bartenders were awesome and very knowledgeable. We chatted the entire time and I learned more about absinthe, bourbon, and what makes a great cocktail.

Visited 08/13/18We had a great time doing the attic themed escape. The clues were challenging, story interesting, and the effects unlike the other escape games. Our hostess was friendly and entertaining!!!

Ive done a few escape rooms before, but Ive never done one that was quite as immersive as Abigails Attic! The story was really exciting, the puzzles were really fun, and everyone had a great time. There were three groups that had booked for a total of 7 people, which did seem a little cramped at times... but that might have been our fault, too, for all trying to work on the same thing! The actress was funny and kind, and very helpful. We really enjoyed this!

Lots of fun! Ive done almost a dozen escape rooms and this is my favorite to date. Atmospheric thanks to good props and actors, but they know not to take themselves too seriously. Definitely a welcome group activity downtown! Ill be back for their other events.

Great escape room! We couldnt do our normal one so I was worried we would be disappointed, but this room was elaborate and challenging. Only 20% success rate. Super fun and very well done.

We had a fantastic time! SKYLER was great. We choose the attic (would be a little scary for people under the teenage level) and highly recommend it. Great attenion to detail. Money well spent! Cant wait to try the brewery next time we are in town.

This escape room was great in a lot of ways! Ive done probably around ~20 escape rooms at this point and the two they offer were certainly among the best Ive done. The actors make the experience really fun and immersive. The Brewery room was really well structured and laid out, the Attic one not quite as much, but still ok. They were both challenging but not impossible. They had cool & unique features that I had never seen in escape rooms before. The whole speakeasy vibe of the main area is really cool as well.The one disappointing thing is that they dont let you see how the room finishes if you dont reach the end when the 60 minutes are up. Every other escape room Ive done they will show you what you would have needed to do, but this one they ushered us out. I definitely left with a sense of frustration and disappointment. I asked the employee why they dont let people finish and he said they would if they have time before the next game, even though we started the game about 20 minutes before our time slot so they had an extra 20 minutes of leeway. It didnt feel good to be lied to, but the rooms were still fun.

Though we had a good time in the small hot attic but ran out of time and some our party did not show. If you party doesnt show there is a no refund policy and they need 5 days to refund HALF. I was told I would be able to use the tickets I had purchased, but upon further investigation I offered a two for one deal to help recoup some of my monetary loss, but honestly Id rather not. I wont be returning and I recommend future adventures plan carefully and be certain your entire party will arrive otherwise youre just throwing money away. It seemed like they just want my money, more of it and dont really care about their patrons. Unfortunately, the manager didnt even seem to budge on this ridiculous policy. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.Edit: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Terrible and rude management! No one followed up with me on a refund or if we wanted to come back the next day for 4 prepaid spots. I reached out multiple times with no response and FINALLY got a response in late may, eight months later. The clerk told us we could probably get a refund or come back at another date, but nope! They did not offer any refund at the time of the event, after the event, and made not attempt to make it right. Apparently, swindling your customers is customary and normal in your industry only! Poor customer services. DO NOT BOOK AHEAD!

There was a lot of thought and creativity when putting together these multi room brain teasers. The theatrics, storylines, and unlimited clues really made my time at Conundrum memorable and loads of fun. But dont be fooled - unlimited clues is a challenge in its self. This was a great place and experience. The hosts were awesome and the challenge great. Plus the speak easy type bar was a lot of fun to. They provide various riddles while you wait for your room which really make the whole experience great. Would do again!

This was my second escape room experience, and it was far and away better than my first one. They really pay attention to detail in this one. Its hard to sum up what I mean without spoiling it, so I wont say anything else other than you will absolutely get your moneys worth out of this. Lots of fun, excellent production value, and a few truly ingenious puzzles.

One of the best escape rooms Ive done. The puzzles are integrated into the story as is the character that acts as the game master. Their waiting room is steam punk themed and has a small bar so you can have a drink before or after your game. I highly recommend it.

The escape room was a blast even if we didnt escape. The bar has a good selection and some unique mixed drinks.

I highly recommend for people with teenagers. I took a group of my high school seniors and they had a great time. They were engaged the entire time, and the team building opportunity was amazing. The staff even entertained my students while they waited in the lounge. Parking in the area is limited so leave yourself time to find a space.

We did the brewery escape room. It was such a blast. Second escape room Ive done and it was fabulous. We made it out in under an hour! Only 25% of their guests do. It was a fun challenge. :)

The puzzles were accessible and engaging. Everyone that did it had a lot of fun!

Me and my wife are out on our honeymoon and she saw this place on internet and booked it for us. We have never done one before. We were the only two that booked that room this evening. We had a blast! The actor was into his role and never broke character. We had as many hints as we needed however it was up to us to use them. Overall atmosphere was warm and inviting! We can’t can’t wait to come back and finish the room and try another one with friends!

This experience was so much fun! It was challenging, smart, and most of all, entertaining and intriguing. The time flew by and a terrific time was had by all in our 4 person group. The staff was friendly, informative, and really seemed to enjoy their work! I highly recommend this experience.

Our party really enjoyed this escape room (we did the brewery one), was a total blast! The only thing we found a bit off-putting was the request for tips ($5 per person). They tell you in advance that the escape room guides are starving artists and could use extra money, but to blatantly request that after charging a good amount to begin with was a bit rude. Our guide didnt seem that into it, but it was later in the day, so maybe that was why.

Such a cool bar!! The staff is super friendly!! We did a lockout room for our son’s 8th birthday. My 10 year old had been there for a 9 year old’s party and said that it was definitely geared towards kids and that their guide stayed with them the whole time and helped and she loved it. It’s the whole reason we planned our son’s birthday there. Our experience was completely different. It was extremely difficult for kids and was way over their heads so they lost interest a lot. The room wasn’t changed much to make it more kid-friendly and it was really hard to hear any of the clues over the walkie talkie. We were disappointed. Trying to get in contact with anyone there is really hard. We sent an email, tried to call and even texted like their voicemail said and never heard back when we had questions about the party so we weren’t able to book a room for cake like we had hoped. ️ We would love to go back with adults for drinks because it’s a cool atmosphere but we definitely won’t take kids again for the lockout room.

This was much better than my first escape room experience. Great puzzles and the theme was fun. The interaction with the staff was wonderful. We succeeded with 1 minute to spare. With 4 kids ages 9-14 and 4 adults, it was a bit chaotic, but manageable. If you have young kids, know that it starts out dark and a bit scary.

I cannot count the number of escape rooms Ive completed any more, and I was requested to write this review by the folks working at conundrum as I was leaving based specifically on my feedback.I completed the Attic of Abigail Falkrik on Dec 30, 2016. The room itself was a little sparsely decorated. There were ample props, but the room wasnt so transformed that it felt like the attic it was meant to portray. However, the game play was excellent, thematically engaging, and totally made up for the design.There were times when the we solved a puzzle faster than the game expected (thus the puzzle included more hints for something we already solved) but this is preferred over having to scratch our heads about whether we were doing something right. Also, the rooms guide is an actor who stays in character and helps make the room a more coherent story line.I highly recommend this room!

Did the Kidsnundrum adventure. My kids had a blast and Wolfie was hilarious. Definitely would go again.
