My grands and I had a fun ride on the train! We reserved the whole train for just our fam and took the scenic ride by the French Broad River!! Great vistas and wonderful open air with nice mountain breezes. The stop at the waterfront park was a wonderful chance to stretch and let the kids run around for a bit before getting back on the train!! I highly recommend the Craggy Mountain Line!! “Come on ride the train, and ride it- choo choo....!”

We have come multiple times and had a great time each and every time. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and the ride is scenic, fun, and ever changing. This is a place youll want to come several times a year and experience one of the most unique views of the area.Bonus tip: This is one of the best ways for the little ones to meet Santa every December!

This was a wonderful experience! They are offering private parties only right now, but it was so worth it. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. All of the trains and history are fascinating. We got to go on a trolley ride down to a park by the river and back again as part of our rental time. Highly recommend! Call ahead to reserve a day and time block. Bring cash or check.

This is our family’s third year doing this (Christmas time). Our little ones love it and so do we! The folks who run it are just plain good and understand how magical is makes kids feel. Great cost too. I hope they keep doing this for many years

We took our 3 year old for the first time and had the best experience! The volunteers MADE it, they were all so helpful and cheerful. It is a simple set up, but we so enjoyed every part, the train ride, visit with Santa and cookies and hot chocolate. We’ll be back again next year!

Went for their Christmas train ride. The kids had a lot of fun. Rode the train for 10-15 minute ride. Hunted for Santa’s bells. Got to see Santa and Mrs claus. Enjoyed got chocolate and some cookies. For the money/value we were pleasantly surprised!

The folks that work and operate this organization are the best. Every single employee, from Santa all the way down to the guys working the parking lot were totally cool and seemed really invested in making it a fun time for the kids.

A short, but fun, train ride. The volunteers do a great job. Everyone in our group enjoyed it. I think it will be really fabulous when the new greenway project is completed.

What a great day trip! I had no idea this was so close to home and inexpensive!!! Everyone who works there was so nice! There is limited seating, so Im glad we ordered our tickets online.

Wonderful place for an adventure with your kids or just adults. See historic railways and learn about them. You can get the full trolley and rail car experience. They host parties and special events and have group rates. Its also a wonderful place to see Mr. & Mrs. Claus at Christmas time.

I would give this higher and would like to but cant. We went today for dinosaur day and the festivities were fine and the kids enjoyed them but the ride time says an hour and fifteen minutes round trip but our ride lasted eighteen minutes. Thats correct. Eighteen minutes. Felt kinda ripped off and very disappointed. The staff were extremely friendly but just cant get over the fact of such a short train ride.

Craggy Mountain line is the place to go anytime of the year for a fun trolley ride, bring your family and friends and learn the history of the cars there. The Jingle Bell trolley ride happens once a year and is the best place to see Santa and his elves!

Kids had a great time at Dino day. This was a quick ride up the mountain and something fun to do. Target age 3-7

Local nonprofit, great people to work with...a fun little train ride with a unique experience... If your kid is into trains then save a trip and a lot of money and go here first before Tweetsie or Johnson City...

The Craggy Mountain Train line is a fun ride for children. My nephew had his birthday party at this location. We rode a small train that had open windows and a bench seat. The ride went down the French Broad River to a small park and then back to the train dock where there were a few old trains to look through. We then had pizza and cake inside an old train car which is enclosed and permenately stationary for the purpose of hosting events.

My little brother had his birthday here a couple weeks ago! He had a ball and the guy driving the train car let him drive it for a few mins! If anybody has kids who are into trains this is the perfect place.

Good idea but they need to pick up the garbage at least around the depot area.

This was a fun little place to come... Everyone was very pleasant, friendly, and helpful. Would come back and ride again.

People were friendly. Go to the bathroom before you get there unless you like pot-a-Johns. Sit on the right side going out or else you will just be looking at the road, dumpsters and trash the entire time. Dont think we would go back but the kids did enjoy the refirbished trains. What was supposed to be the highlight was really underwhelming. I hate it bc there isnt much those nice folks can do about the scenery. Just make sure you sit on the right side.
